I noticed how small this community is at times. All the rp friends I'm friends with are friends with all my other rp friends. It tells me how much of a niche preference my rp style and preferences are. I think it's really interesting how the communities are all divided, it's like there are some unwritten rules honestly. I honestly have always tried to avoid rping with furries and people who don't have a profile picture to their character. I've moved on a lot farther from the no profile thing, but I'm still a bit shy about the furry thing. It's like I expect furries to know I'm not a furry and sometimes I even tell furries I'm not a furry and maybe I'm not the right rper, but one has persisted. I guess I've become more comfortable rping I suppose.
You will be surprised how open this place is.
I rp canons and people accept me for who I am and what I do. Most rp sites I been on were very stressful, strict and judged what you rped. Even with admins flat out calling you out for no reason. I don't like huge places. I don't like being pressured to rp something I don't or make an oc to fullfill someone's desire.
I avoid rping certain things, myself.
People on rpr are friendly people and everyone greets you with a smile. I hope we can be friends.

My first role playing experience was on Furcadia and I see many faces that are familiar in that sense on the RPR. I do roleplay anthropomorphic characters, but I do not own a fur-suit as they call it. Playing a character and having a sense of detachment from the character is a good place to be, I believe. Not every animal-like character is roleplayed by a "furry", just like not every merman isn't played by someone who can breath underwater and sing sea-shanties.
I know that I always roleplay as original characters and avoid playing cannon characters like the plague. But that is the joy of diversity! Everyone has different tastes. I have watched many writers evolve, so to speak, and I will always support personal growth. So hopefully you will be ever more comfortable roleplaying here!

Well I am a person that mainly uses anthros, BUT I do have some humans too. I am as nice as can be lol but You shouldnt be shy about what you like and what you dont like in an rp. It isnt wrong to be honest with someone and tell them you might not like a character because of them being anthro or something about them creeps you out badly. TBH look at it this way, if you tell someone how you feel and they dont like it, then that is they're choice lol You just move on.
AS for the people on this site, I have always found them to be friendly and easy to get alont with, Mind you I am not a huge fan of some people's kinks and likes, but I respect them as rpers. When I started rping, I only had a few people I ever got to rp with that was the same, I didnt even know at that point how wonderful finding Long term rp partners is. I have one i met on here and I honestly am very happy I met him, I love the rpr and I love seeing all the ideas people put out there, makes me strive to to better ^^
