As the title states, I'm looking for an AU version of Sword Art Online (Or something similar to it). I really don't have much for a plot besides my characters and your character going to search for a way to clear the game, maybe we could throw in a few side quests in the thing as well. I'm simply looking for 1-4 people to join me in this little roleplay for a little fun. Like in Sword Art Online, combat is expected, romance is possible, and language is also expected. Please PM me or reply down below if you have any ideas or questions regarding this.
Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.

Not gonna lie the only thing that made me watch bits of the anime was the English Dubbed bloopers
Normally I wouldn't watch English dubs (with the exception of Hetalia and Ghost Stories) but it sure is funny watching the voice actor mess up or changing their lines
I prefer the abridged series, but I do love the warmth and sincerity of the original.
If it wasn't for Kirito, I'd love the anime, lmao.

Yeah, if you'd like it in a group setting.
It's preferable for such a large scale setting as this, also may I recommend that if you didn't like kirito in the actual series. Try watching the abridged series, he's ******* insane so I know you'll love him.
