I'm pretty interested in what people have going for their characters. If you feel like you have a fairly unique or cool concept, or are using tropes seldom roleplayed, do show me! I think of this as a way of mustering inspiration. Not to plagiate from, but to look at and admire as a way of boosting my own creativity. Also you get to do some self-advertizing without feeling awkward about it!
Bonus points if you tell me how your character came into existence. As in, why you made them in the first place.
Extra bonus points if you provide a link to said character.

Well, I say the concept of twin neko-kitsune hybrids is pretty unique! Yes, I am referring to the two I'm posting as haha. I don't think I've ever come across any hybrids of this specific type. Sure, they may be stuck with the cliché of being harassed because of what they were and being separated from their parents, but I say that it really makes sense for these two. Its one thing being half human and half non-human, but these two are hybrids of two different non-humans. They really came into existence because I really thought that having twin hybrids would be fun then thought it would be even more fun to make them a hybrid of a neko and kitsune.
As far as characters go, I find pride in my dragon characters, and my human character Catherine.
I came up with the characters of Catherine and igneous maybe two or three years ago when I first joined this site. They were based upon characters in a story concept for a novel I had in my mind at the time, unfortunately I ended up scraping it later but kept the characters.
Catherine was based more off of western film tropes, like the fish out of water, and the rebel with a cause.
Igneous however came to me with an observation. Dragons though popularized, are still pictured as these brute like mindless bringers of chaos. At least in the west, and while I do enjoy the physical attributes of the western picturing of Dragons. I prefer the more wise and often powerful sense of morality of eastern dragons.
The thought behind him was that, just as elves, men, and dwarves can build these massive grand societies and governments. As can Dragons.

a humble 'PNG'. if you look, you can see that it is made up of the three symbols for 'Body', 'Soul', & 'Spirit'.🜔🜍☿.
while other living beings may enjoy the benefits of being complex individuals, the PNG are bare-bones the most basic form possible of 'living beings', as defined by possessing a Body, Soul, & Spirit.
even then, while the Souls of the World may be Earthen, the Souls of complex people may be Aqueous, the Souls of the Angelic, conceptual beings of manifest power may be akin to Air, the Souls of the true demonic may be like Fire, and the Souls of 'Monsters' may be of Energy, those of the PNG are of the rejected, wasted material produced in the aftermath of a terrible incident. They are of Caput mortuum.
I can give more details if you'd like, but this is a good start. |3
It's one I deleted but still sometimes use if I wanna. I based her off of the EpicMafia role lover, which states that the two lovers are bound, and if one dies, the other does as well. It keeps the plot interesting if it's an action/adventure, as you're both trying even more desperately to stay together. As soon as she falls in love, you're linked, even if you despise her. I've branched out her story to say she upset and broke the heart of a young warlock who then cursed her this way as a form of revenge (it'll scare her away from people, as she falls in love easily).
My most unique concept would have to be my Fairy God Mother I hadn't seen it done, and had tons of possible plots come to mind when when I thought of her. Nica has proven to be a refreshing and fun addition to my character list ^^

That is truly unique. I've never come across a fairy godmother in terms of roleplaying before. I bet she's fun to play as, and with!
Out of all of my characters, my pirate spider demon is by far the most unique of what I have. I've not seen it done anywhere else and he's certainly different from the rest, lmao.

An absolute blast! She is unwaveringly postive even when things go horribly wrong
I think my truly unique character is Croatoan. Her sources is of unknown origin but she is a part of what the Native Americans call, "Greater Spirits". She is extremely powerful, came before both the Christians God and Satan, in fact, she is both. But the Native Americans only saw her dark side when it came to protecting her children. Croatoan however has been sealed away within a talisman since her most noticeable work, the disappearance of the Roanoke Colony. I created her for a book I'm actually working on. I have always been obsessed with the Lost Colony and wondered what would happen if the the Native American myth was true about a spirit doing away with the colony. Even more so if someone happened to summon the spirit once more
The most unique concept I think I've made is a demonically corrupted sword named Reagan. Reagan is a flesh mass growing on the sword with a single eye, and can engulf the sword and transmute it into several other items. In her sword and knife based forms she's able to grow bug-like limbs.
I'm not too good at making anything too unique that breaks the mold, because aesthetics~~~~ So I'm stuck with what I have
But I did make Modrals, some sot of hybrid species, dogs with feathers (not too creative) but they react to the feelings of others and their markings change like mood rings. Also colors invert when they're wet etc.
But I dunno how unique the mood ring idea is
Another thing I have is a char that doesn't have an RPR profile, an old char that took the unique factors of another and sprang back to life on top because of it. Yeh, he took the skill/ability of being able to summon and pull weapons out of himself
