It began as many tales do, long ago. There was once a kingdom, without a king as the king had died, and the prince was yet to come of age. Each day was spent by the nobles fighting an endless war with a tyrant whom knew well the black arts.
At this time a timid young fairy given the name if Fate, joined the castle staff as the new kingdom sorceress. Over time she learned her role and often did her best to counter the spells over time, though she was but a fairy.
Eventually she would learn to care for the young prince, though for a time it was evident that he did enjoy her company. Sadly though, he did not care for her as she did him.
Knowing this, the young fairy did the first thing she could think of. For she could not hold the dark one off forever, she could give the kingdom something to stall it a bit longer.
So as the prince slept, she crept into his bed and used a lock of his hair to create a child whom would bare his name and her power. Though this spell cost her own life in return.
15 years later two siblings, children of the king played in the castle gardens. The eldest a girl, the younger a boy. There eventually became a time when the girl discovered her powers and became frightened of herself, the result of that fear causing half the capital to be consumed in flame. So she fled into the night, not to be seen since.
5 years later the kings son is now king, and after a long fought war has agreed to negotiations with the leader of this foreign kingdom. Though why does this foreign ruler never show his face, and where the tyrant his father fought been lurking all these years.
( this is a do over of one of my very first and favorite rps on this site. So I'm very nostalgic about it, just looking for someone to play the new king, and the evil overlord in the shadows. I'll play the mysterious foreign ruler, and the sister.)

Akio paced around the room in anticipation. What if something bad happened while they were talking? What if the negotiations didn't work out? He felt his heart race every time he heard someone walk outside the door, only calming down when they had walked away. Why was Akio so intimidated by this foreign ruler? Most people would say it's because of how they look and what people say about them. Normally this wouldn't scare him. This wasn't a normal case, though. He felt very unsettled thinking about this person, but he couldn't bring his mind away. Despite everything he had seen in his life, this was too much. He tried to distract himself by remembering things that made him happy, but even that didn't really do anything. He looked out the window, hoping the scenery would calm him down.
The presence of this person alone seemed to trouble and suffocate the people as they passed. A small group of men clad is iron shields and mountains of furs, at the head of which was a cloaked figure, her body shape revealing her gander. The fur clung to her as the rain poured upon the metal and fur. She approached the castle and gave a long sigh, truly this sight was one she hoped to never see again. With this depressed state of mind, she approached the grand doors of the palace.
The servants in the castle had no delay in opening the doors for the guests. Most tried to hide their fear, but some had to leave the room because they couldn't. Of those who stayed, some looked perfectly calm, while others looked ready to pass out. The entire castle had been preparing for as long as they could, and half of the staff still wasn't prepared in the least.
There was a knock on the door to the room Akio was in. He called for them to come in.
"Sir, you have a visitor," they reported. Akio felt a chill go down his spine. No more preparing, this was it.
"Very well, thank you," he replied, standing. The servant nodded and left.

She walked through the familiar walls of the palace she played in as a child. She remembers this place fondly, though trying to face her younger brother when he didn't know who she even was, would prove to be the most interesting challenge of all.
A few servants followed the group, while one lead, showing the way. Some of the following servants kept a close eye on the group because they were scared, others because these were guests and they needed to make sure no one strayed and got lost. Oddly enough, the castle was completely silent. No one talked, no one worked loudly, no one even breathed loudly. The castle, usually so lively, felt empty.
When they got to the door, the leading servant stepped aside.
"Well, here we are..."

The group of ghostly figures stepped inside, they move past the fine crafted decor as if it were a half priced nicknack. They eventually came to the end of the room to face the otherwise young king.
The man smiled.
"Welcome! Please, please, have a seat," he said, gesturing to a cluster of nice chairs. In an instant, he realized something terrifying. As much as he'd recited what he'd say over and over, he'd always assumed this person would react in a certain way. It then dawned on him that he might not be able to react in the "right way". He decided to deal with that when it came.

He cleared his throat, taking a seat.
"So, let us get right to it, then?" he asked, trying not to stare at the large figures standing near the visitor.

"Yes, let us."
The figure spoke softly in a strangely whispey voice.

They spoke! At least it was progress. The problem now was trying to talk without giving away his nervousness.
"So..." he panicked, not even remembering what he was going to say. "Sorry, I'm not very good at this... Negotiation thing..." Idiot! he silently scolded himself.
