Forums » Introductions » Hello

Hi, everyone! I'm kenopisa. This is my first big RP site, I've done the odd chat type RPs in online games and a few minor forum based RPs as a side thing on other sites. I love writing and developing characters. I also ride horses and row crew. I'm excited to test my writing skills and become involved in a community entirely based around it. Hope to get to know some of you.

Hi! Welcome to RPR! Honestly, a lot of my writing skills have come from here through other great RPers! I really hope you enjoy your time on here! It's a very great community and there's endless ideas for RPs. :)
Welcome to RPR! Horse riding sounds so cool! That's awesome! ^^

Ah I could talk horses all day. I ride English, but hope to start taking western lessons as well.

ooooo, i've never been able to ride english very well. that saddle, man... to me it just looks like you're sitting on a nice men's shoe. western's pretty darn easy, but anything dressage related can be a little weird in it, lol. dyou do any competitions or anything? dressage, or lowkey races?

Haha, I started out learning on an English saddle so it's all I've ever known apart from the few times I went with a commercial company somewhere on a guided trail. I'm not showing at the moment but I hope to in the coming years. I want a really solid ability before I dabble into showing and such. When I show I hope to show in hunter. I don't do any dressage or racing, focusing mainly on jumping and my form. I love my teacher because she doesn't just do arena work, we go out on trails and do fun activities with the horses as well. I'm just so in love with all things equine. Since I don't have my own horse I work at the barn alot, feeding and grooming, barn chores and such.

oh! i live in the south, so i'm not really very familiar with english riding - we're pretty much old barns that're falling apart and work boots and dusty, fifteen-odd year old saddles down here, lmao. i should have thought about jumping! i've only done it a few times, i got lessons for a bit while i was in my midteens, and i like to walk some skittish horses that are just on the cusp of being trained out of the habit over wooden pallets. they love to jump off and around those, lol.

showing is so much freaking fun. i barrel race and cow catch occasionally and it's such a fun rush - even practicing it is. but my mom and i are friends with the guy i board my horse with, so instead of paying i just work with him as his staff, feeding and mucking out stalls and the whole nine yards, yeah. in between shows, though (and during the winter), i like to go down to ride through trails - his property backs up to the national forest, and there's a gate to it. it's super pretty in the summer, but it's also swelteringly hot and there are sooooo many ticks.
HOWDY!!
