When you look at the clock and think "why did it take me three hours to write one sentence", what's usually the culprit?
90% of the time for me it's music. Other possibilities include: crime/medical podcasts, depression naps, I'm getting slaughtered in Darkest Dungeon and it's taking longer than I thought it would.

Oh boy if it isn't a long list of things :'D
I've got distracted by literally pausing to check up a fact or translation, but most times the culprit is youtube: I've given up on searching for music by this point, bc ulness it's one of those "1 hour long copilation of darksynth/western/whatever the hell", most times i'll just hook up watching the video along the music. Even with lirics ones. Other times I think my brain just gives up, and before I know it I'm watching "Windows 98 Destruction" for the eighth time.
Another times is because, mid-writting, I have an idea for something, and try to do the outline of the second thing to remember it. Most times this ends up on me leaving booth things half done and playing some random game for about four hours straight. On the other hand, sometimes when i don't have a good idea to write, i try doodleing a little on the side to see if i can come up with something good...and get hooked up with drawing instead ;v;
I should also admit that this alone took me about an hour to write bc at least two of those reasons...so yeah, screw my lack of dopamin by this point ;v;

It is certainly mostly youtube, but now I know how (wow) to make ambiances that go for hours, so I don't need to adjust it, even if most of the time I don't set them before hand and I get lost between Lego MOCs and science podcasts. So, mostly youtube, but immediately followed by the chatboxes and my girlfriend
I'm pretty bad for overanalyzing tiny setting/character details and then getting lost in 20 google tabs. Or when I know there's a perfect word for what I want to describe but I'm unable to remember exactly what it is. :'(
for every post I gotta kiss my gf fifty times
For every post I gotta pet my doggo about 20 times. Or else she'll wail like she's about to die.
Boyfriend is clingy.
literally. everything. LOL
ADD life ayyyy
The worst though is when my other half is multitasking like mad beside me with his 3 games, on headset, and some sort of tv show running. Most times I have to throw my headphones on and position my monitor to block the tv x_x If i'm able to take my meds though then it's not much of a problem

Yeah, pretty much everything distracts me as well. I take ages to write posts when I'm off my meds because I get so distracted and end up taking an hour to write a paragraph (it's taken me a day to write seven or eight) because I got caught up googling stuff and having a bajillion tabs open. It sucks .
Bad timing. If I'm not inspired, I'll end up spending three hours on a couple of sentences which I'll then delete, so for the most part, I avoid RPing when I'm not inspired to write. Or else I abandon an RP-post attempt when I catch myself spending too much time on it.
Very rarely, I have productive delays which involve finding out some details about some historical facts in the middle of writing a post. I usually prefer to do that before I start writing, though, so mostly it doesn't count. I'm lucky in that I'm usually able to focus pretty intensely and get a long post done in about an hour, shorter posts in 10 minutes . The downside is that a post either happens quickly, or else there's no post at all

Usually it’s things going on around me that keeps me from concentrating enough to get a post written.
That said, it is sometimes just my head. It can be dead quiet and I’m all alone and I open an rp I need to reply to and I stare and come up with nothing. Then I’ll be at work and pound out a paragraph in a minute while doing other stuff. So yeah.
