 (Female here. Looking for a nonsexual Harry Potter roleplay played with OC's. I'd like a tinge of romance after a realistic buildup.)

My eyes gracefully wisp from student to student as I step off of the bustling train platform.
A large, rustic looking castle loomed above me, staring down at me in a belittling sense. It was as if it was laughing at me, telling me how I will never be ready for what awaits.
Frightened children zoom past me in every direction, finding shelter behind the older students. I adjust my robe, rolling up the sleeves as I briskly walk through the crowd. "Nira, you're most certainly getting into Slytherin! I couldn't see you getting anywhere else!" Achilles's painfully enthusiastic voice chimes, and I sharply bring up a palm to silence him.
"Yes. I don't need your constant reminder." I grumble bitterly, unamused with his bubbly attitude.
I had been born and raised in a family of pure Slytherins. My six older brothers before me all graduated Hogwarts with perfect marks, and four of them excelled in Quiddich. Of course, the other two hadn't strayed too far behind considering they had the smarts of all of them combined. Me? Well, I'd like to see myself as the best of both worlds. I've learned to fly before I even knew how to walk, and my first words were reciting spells that people of my age still struggled to grasp the full concept of. This Sorting Hat has no business of placing me anywhere else; I am a full fledged Slytherin in the primest state.
I continue on with all the useless blabber and the constant 'oohs' and 'ahhhs' as students mesmerized by the whole experience fell in a deep awe; one I found completely unnecessary to the whole experience.
What felt like hours passed before we walked into our Sorting Ceremony, and a few hours more before Achilles's name is called up.
It takes no more than two seconds before the hat booms "HUFFLEPUFF!" and I raise an eyebrow in discrace.
Pityful applause slowly piles up but quickly silences before the next student continues.
The names fly by in my head until it is my turn, and I confidently stride to the hat.
I wipe off the dusty stool and gently seat myself on it, facing the crowds of students with ease as the brim of the hat touches my head.
I meet contact with Achilles once more and a pang of disgust hits me when I see his open acceptance for his house.
"I see, Hufflepuff is not something admirable in your eyes. Who may know, maybe you're in for a surprise." A gentle voice coaxes out of the hat.
How idiotic. Just give me my house already. No need for the anticipation.
"No need to be crude! Why, that's just plain rude! Maybe Hufflepuff is not the house for you."
I roll my eyes. Hufflepuff with the naive children? Of course not. What about Ravenclaw, the geniuses with nothing behind their name? Convincing this hat is so simple that ending up in anything but Slytherin would show some sort of imbalance in the system.
"Now try as you must, my choice is nothing but just, my word is one of which you may need to trust." The voice riddles, causing me to scoff.
Another eyeroll. Slytherin is what I've lived up to my whole life. This must just be trying to psych me out. See how I am under pressure.
"Sure of Slytherin? Well that's not what I'm so solid about."
What are you solid about then? What else could fit my masterful mind beyond chivalrous cliches of students that are born to do "good."
"Calm down. Take a breath. This is a choice of which I am sure, you will be placed in house GRYFFINDOR!"
My heart stops, my head pounds, and I find myself enveloped in mindless applause and cheers, standing like a deer in headlights. This can't be right. This must be a mistake.
