Apocalypse type setting with nephilim (children of angels and humans) trying to minimize the damage caused by the war around them. Modern setting with limited interaction with humans outside of magical inclined ones.

Heaven and Hell have been waging war against each other since The Fall, though never with much conviction on either side and over the years have fathered many children with various mortals. Even the Archangels are not exempt from this, Lucifer, of course, had many children but the others have some as well. The nephilim are all immortal to varying degrees based on the power of their angelic parents, those belonging to archangels and other high powered angels are perfectly immortal while those belonging to lesser angels can be killed. During the Greek apogee, Michael and Lucifer both fell in love with the same woman who ended up having a son with Lucifer followed by a daughter with Michael a few years later without either archangel knowing about the other. When she died Lucifer came to collect his son, only to discover Michael's daughter who he wouldn't leave behind, so he took both of them, and they were raised and trained with The Fallen's children including Lucifer's eldest son and Beelzebub's daughter. However several years later Michael took Alice, and she was also trained among heaven's children, though she didn't get on with most of them she made friends with Raphael's eldest son.
Jumping forward to modern day, both Heaven and Hell have fractured into two groups one lot who want the apocalypse and one lot that really don't. A group of demons and young angels have managed to kick start the apocalypse much to the chagrin of everyone else. The nephilim have split into multiple fractions, those who are with heaven, those who are with hell, those who don't give a damn, and those who are trying to stop everything before it gets out of hand.

This sounds like an amazing idea. I'd be interested.

Cool. I'm still fairly new to the site and trying to work out how in fact to start a roleplay but if you wish to discuss things I'm on and off through out the day and will reply quickly.

Well there is this concept I myself have been working with.
You see their is a. 0.5% percent of the worlds population that doesn't have a monotheistic point of view. You don't think any small group of mortals or nephiliem would be desperate enough to try using older means to end the war?

Would you mind explaining a bit more, please? I'm not sure I quite understand and dislike making a complete fool of myself by making assumptions.

Well as you know between certain periods, European powers began holding witch trials. Though they painted these people as devil summoners, the majority of them were people who simply kept to the native regional religion. Which nine times out of ten was polytheistic.

Then in the 1950's a man named charles gardener was invited to a secret meeting hidden away from the world. A few years later the witchcraft ban was lifted for the simple fact that it was believed no more witches even existed.

That's when he and his coven came forward to preach the ways of the old world. Eventually with some time and effort older pre christian religions began to return to power under the blanket term 'Pagan' with a particularly large boom in the 60's. And it is estimated that 0.5% of the worlds population identify as one of these branches of worship.


They also go by many different names, such as 'druids' or 'heathens'.

My basic idea is that their may be small pockets of people who see this as an opportunity to return the oldpowers back on their respective thrones.

No it's brilliant, I'd fallen asleep so I hadn't seen it last night, it was something I had briefly considered as paganism is something I've researched for some of my writing, but I didn't want to weigh the idea down too much.

That is understandable, it just always comes to me when seeing rps based of revelations.
My mind tends to go "well what about these people."

Yeah, that happens to me a lot while I'm reading. It is certainly an interesting idea that I wouldn't mind incorporating.

I'll give you a time to think it over...heck maybe some nephiliem even feel this way.

Though I believe that by feeling so theyed be disowned by their parents, the angelic ones I mean.

Then they'd only be able to gain their powers through patronage. As system in which they devote their beings to the ideals and philosophies of that particular immortal to gain some power reflecting that of their patron.

I'm terribly sorry there was a family emergency and I haven't been able to get online properly. I honestly think it's a good idea and would make sense, I've dabbled with this idea before and those disowned by the parents tended to join other angels instead so it would make sense that they could also join pagans as well.

Hey, I actually have a Nephilim character who doesn't know who her parents are and is actually Wiccan which is a branch of the pagan religion that I myself am a part of. So if you want some more perspective on one branch of the pagan religion, I'd be happy to help. Also I am very interested in this role play. The character I'm using to post this is my Nephilim character.

And I commonly research mythology and ancient ideologies.

Cool I like your character she seems interesting. I myself have researched different mythologies and religions over the years, though I must confess my knowledge of Wiccan is sub-par at best.

It's a very...confusing subject.
I also must tell you that pagan is an umbrella term for any religion that's not one of the aberhamic faiths. Such as Druidism, Wicca,Heathenism.

Their is also the strange hybrid of christopagan but for some reason no one talks about them.
