A slow drag of a finger across pavement. A small scent of blood in the air. The night gleeming down upon a small town. It was all too inviting. Hissing sounds came from a dark corner as a hand slide from the shadows, and into the moonlight. Piercing red eyes and fangs were also seen next.
A female crawled from the darkness with her pink hair covering her eyes.
Mmmm I'm so hungry tonight...Who will be my next victim?
The girls name was Nara Wolfe. She was nineteen years old and seductive. She looked all sweet and innocent, but she had her dark sides at night. She was tired of men abusing her because in the day time she was so helpless. She sat on the pavement somewhat like a dog. She had a black, spiked, collar and she even seemed sweet.
Fall into my trap...

Indeed the night did gleam down upon the small town and one of its visitors. The softest clicks of shoes upon the sidewalk could be heard, cutting through the stillness unevenly as they were accompanied by a softer, barely-heard thump: they were the sounds of a limp, and the cane to go with it.
Fortunately for the older blonde gentleman coming down the street on that lonely evening, there was no one of sane mind around to gawk at his daring to travel at night. If he wanted to have a midnight walk, he felt darn well entitled to it. If he wanted to take these sorts of risks, he darn well felt entitled to it. If he wanted to smell blood in the air--
--wait a moment. Blood in the air?
William recognized the faint scent almost immediately, although only his deepening frown could express his curiosity to anyone who might be watching... like that Nara girl a few yards ahead, for example. Logic told the man, as his eyes lowered to the strange girl and narrowed, that he should turn right around and head right back to wherever he had come from and pay the girl and the scent no heed.
...but instead, he slowed to a stop and settled the weight of his good side onto the shillelagh in his hand. Its silver tip shined in the moonlight. Convenient, but he didn't know what he had crossed paths with yet.
"Shouldn't a girl like you be home at this hour? Or did I have the 'blessings' of those above to find a Goth's lady of the evening this night?" he speaks up in a mid-toned, smooth voice that displays his deadpan nature rather spectacularly.

She slowly licked her pink lips as she stood up completely. Her eyes pierced an even darker red while the pink in her hair fell over her ears and cheeks.
"Honestly,I can take well care of myself. I must say though...you smell yummy." She slightly bared her fangs with her foot sliding up closer to him. She slowly took off her collar. With a quick move she was behind him. Her soft, gental hand slid againts his right arm.
Nara tilted her head at the thought of herself hesitating to bite down on his neck. She was trying hard to build up the courage.
What is it about this guy?!
Her thoughts slightly angered her while her stomach growled viciously. She backed up and looked at the slightly damp pavement with gum on it.

The man's brows lifted even more curiously towards his receding widow's peak. With that one statement Nara gave him, he was beginning to gain a small idea of what he had found tonight.
Then suddenly she was behind him, and he had half a mind to jab her in the ribs before she could try anything.
"... you move like an animal but display your feeding habits like a beast. Do you desire to be killed as soon as possible?" he asked as a thinly-veiled insult, holding his ground at her hesitation.
It couldn't have come at a more opportune moment. Without waiting for a proper answer, William deftly tossed the cane upwards so he could grip it near the middle, and then he turned clockwise and swung his arm after her, towards her head-- 'chasing' her retreat, as it were, with the heavy knob-bearing top.
Whoever he was, William certainly meant business and didn't take immediate threats to his person lightly.

Nara grasped his arms while her head was held down. "Hm." She sensed a bit of impudence from the male.
Hmmm just another brute. Not interested in fighting or feeding on him plus he could most likely kill me.
She let go of him and put her collar back on,and her fangs retracted. Her red eyes turned to their natrual aqua color.
"I'm sorry, sir." Her attitude was rough as she backed up into the shadows, and only her blue eyes could be seen. She was use to people like him and nearly died every time. She merely wished to be back to normal. Back into herself. Back into a human.

The man pulled out of her grasp easily, because he had at least a foot and a couple of hundred pounds of muscle and fat versus her small, very skinny frame. He hardly seemed surprised that his strike had missed-- if anything, there was mild annoyance on his face now.
"No, you aren't sorry," William quipped, following after her with steps that weren't as uneven now and amazing confidence, as if he was undeterred by the shadows Nara was using to hide herself in. "If you are going to commit to the act of feeding," he began to lecture, "get on with it. Don't attack someone if you don't mean it and are going to retreat like a shy child who wasn't invited to the schoolyard to play."
All the while as he speaks, a very subtle detail comes and goes like a fleeting thought: his teeth appear to be unnaturally sharp. Yet should Nara really focus on it, his teeth appear to be perfectly normal.

"There is something about you...I just can't kill you. So please go away." She was backed up into a corner with a shy innocent look on her face. She put her small hands againts her chest and her eyes stay pointed towards the ground.
"I really am sorry,so please forgive me."
"I really am sorry,so please forgive me."
For the briefest moment, William stopped lecturing and advancing. His grey eyes studied her seriously from behind his glasses, as if Nara was some sort of equation he needed to figure out.
"... Hmph. Damn right you can't kill me," he remarked, although his tone had begun to soften a little. "I would put an ash stake into your heart or a silver bullet through your head..." The man's expression then became more contemplative as he turned her apology over in his thoughts.
"Why are you sorry?" he inquired.

"For attacking in the first place." She has a few tears in her eyes as she just wanted to run. Maybe she didn't attack this one person because he reminded her of her father. She was thirty-three years old,but she remembered the day she died and the day she was reborn as a monster. She would love it if he killed her then and there.
Her big, innocent, blue eyes slowly looked up at him. "Do you...forgive me?" She tilted her head sweetly as the sun slowly came up.

He's got half a mind to roll his eyes and snark at her behavior, but a sharp jab from his conscience reminds him who he is and where his place is in this world. So instead, William opts for a soft sigh and a mildly defeated look.
He asks of her very seriously, "Are all fledglings this soft these days? Back in my day, there was none of this 'boo-hoo oh woe is me'. Everyone had their place and did as they did..." He catches himself in the midst of his still even-toned rant, paying the sun little heed.
"Suppose I forgive you, but if you attack me again, you're getting a beat-down like any other beast who'd go after me would."

Nara nodded and hugged him befor running around him and down the street. She had to get somewhere safe befor 'He' walks the streets. A male would always hurt her and she was practically defenseless during the day time. She rushed as fast as she could but only bumped into the same male she was trying to flee from. The male chuckled and grabbed her by her neck befor slamming her on the ground.
"Where the hell do you think you're going? HUH?!" The male spit on her befor placing his size eleven in mens, foot on her stomach.
She couldn't speak because she was dropped in a pit of fear.
"AMSWER ME! WHERE DO YA THINK YOU'RE GOING?!?!" He stomped on her stomach as she screamed in pain, slightly coughing up blood. Not many people were out that early in the morning so they could only stay away and watch the girl get beaten.

The man visibly tensed at the display of affection but didn't remark on it, letting her go on her way. By this point, William would have considered the night's matter done and over with, and he'd be on his own.
But Fate wasn't very subtle sometimes. Off in the distance where he assumed Nara had run off too, he could hear the yelling.
"... do I have to?" the man questioned the emptiness around him as he stepped back out onto the proper streets and started heading off towards the poor unfortunate woman and her abuser.
The way William moved was quiet, careful, and skilled--he wouldn't make himself heard unless he wanted to be, and in this case as he began to casually sneak up on Nara's attacker, he wasn't interested in being caught.
His presence is only really made known when the air became thick with the sensation of dread and a single hissed sentence right in the man's ear.
"Let me show you how to beat up a punk proper."
And then William abruptly jabbed the tip of his cane into the middle other man's back. He followed that up by pivoting the weapon to the side to hook it under the armpit, throwing his weight to the left to throw the abuser aside.

Nara sat up slowly and watched. She looked at William, and she soon struggled to her feet then collapsed. She was most dangerous on a night of a new moon which would be tonight. In the day time she was useless and weaker then a human child.
"Th-thanks for helping m-me..." She had the slightest bit of trouble speaking after having the air kicked out of her.

Achievement Unlocked: One-Shot the Villain of the Day.
William watched as the man apparently vanished off or runs off or whatever it was that wasn't described. He then let out a dry chuckle to himself and glanced skyward before his attention shifted back to Nara...
... and all the humor ran dry. He didn't speak to her for several moments, opting to fill that time with tucking his cane under his arm so he could retrieve a glasses case. Reading glasses were changed for shades in the growing light of day.
"Again I find myself questioning what sort of Childe are you," the man remarked with added emphasis for importance, as if she'd know what he meant by that term. "Unable to defend yourself during the day... hmph. Do I need to lead you to the nearest medical ward?"

She shook her head and hopped up. "I think I will be fine. Thanks again, dude!" She huffed a small but while her wounds healed quickly. She looked at the sun and smiled. "Well,it was just my luck from attacking you!" She started running rather quickly for a weakling.
Seeing the police were doing the same thing they always do,nothing, and their cars were blocking the way to get to her destination.
Honestly? Ugh...GPD sucks.
The town was called Gernuahos, named after the person who built it in thirty days by themselves. She stepped back away from the GPD (Gernuahos Police Department) cars. She got a running start and flipped over the care with style. She knew she had left something behind for him on the ground. It was a golden demon fang.
Golden demon fangs were worth a lot in that town but she wanted William to have it.

"... yeah, sure," William muttered belatedly at Nara's retreating form, watching as she went right over that police barricade...
Hold up. The police? The man reached down to scoop up the demon fang she'd left behind (not that he knew what it was) and pocketed it, keeping an eye on the GPD cars.
"Right. Since when did the police get here, and why didn't they stop that attack, and am I under arrest for something unbeknownst to me?" the man questions very lightly under his breath. What a predictable day today had been, and it was barely even started!

All the police got out of their cars and approached William. "You sir!" a police man approached with his hand on his gun. "Watch our cars will ya? We're hungry Sooo yeeeaaahhh. We are hard workers (Lie) and we would like to dine for once. So make sure no dude kills someone or whatever."
The cops walked into a nearby restaurant.
Nara was of course still running.

... wait.
What just happened?
The only expression William can come with to this tomfoolery is to allow his jaw to hit the street and to stare in disbelief at the polices' retreating backs as they head into the restaurant.
For several seconds of amazement, the man can't remember to pick his jaw up.
"Hey," he speaks again to no one in particular. "Did what happen just happen to me? I'm not going nuts, am I?" He pauses just long enough to listen to an imaginary reply before nodding. "Okay, good... leave them to their irresponsibility then, even if it would bring my humanity up higher to do as asked."
So screw the police-- William walks away in no particular direction other than away from the cars and the restaurant.

The police in the town were sucky, and everyone was insane. People on the streets were either clapping at the clouds, kissing dogs, robbing stores, rocking in corners, fighting, and more. Those people made Nara seem normal. One female even bowed for William and was calling him her god. Yep that was a bad town to be in and Nara was better off dead. She sat not too far from the area awaiting night.
... and you know what, right about now, it's time for William to find some where saner to be in. Convince one of those above was just looking for an excuse of some sort, William doesn't even go looking for Nara.
He just walks himself right out of town, and right out the story.
[Sorry to cut you short there, ma'am, but my old man's had enough. Thanks for the RP though, and have a good rest of the day!]
