CHARACTER SHEET

- Pirate Captain Antony - Pirate Ship: The Rosemary

A man in his late 40's with shoulder length scarlet hair tied back in his ponytail. He had a strong square jaw, and a light red beard. He wore a long red overcoat, and black leather boots. By his side, on a desk was his hat. Once the most feared pirate on the seas. Yet now he laid on his death bed, struck down by a gunshot in a tavern, and dying slowly.

- Lady Seline Masters - Nice of Antony

In the tallest house, on the largest hill was a girl who would soon awake to meet her destiny. Her name...was Seline Masters. Usually bright green eyes. Yellow hair wavy style,
that framed her face and neck almost like a halo. She was a strange young girl with a yellow mane of hair, a high born girl, who throws herself off the cliffs on the eastern shore into the waters below. Loves reading and swimming

- Lady Rosalind Masters

Mother of Seline. wealthy, acquainted with Sir Morgan.
She was a rather short woman who was a bit on the rounder side. She had scarlet hair that she always wore up in a bun, and ungodly amounts of makeup upon her face. She was known for being crude and unusual, though she loved Seline dearly

- Pirate Captain Edward Teach, known as Blackbeard

Blackbeard as usual dressed the part, a proper pirate at first sight, well in line with his reputation

- Pirate Commodore Calico Jack

Of noble birth known as Calico Jacksworth Pont-deTer, the notorious Calico Jack, preferred a more toned down and discreet outfit and look, resembling more a wealthy merchant than a brigand. Calico Jack was young, curious, adventurous if at times daring and reckless

- Sir Henry Morgan

He was of noble birth and high station within the royal entourage, something clearly noticeable by the lavish attire he flaunted along with the expensive accessories which were of the highest quality. He had grace, good taste, attention to detail and refined mannerisms. Though he was not to be taken lightly as he lead a darker double life. Captain Morgan was not one to be crossed on any dealings, for torture, slavery or death would certainly ensue, by legal means or otherwise. He commanded fear and respect on land and sea. Sir Henry Morgan has been appointed viceroy by the king himself and the only governor of these lands and islands. He is the king's personally appointed ambassador no less. Captain Morgan has gone into legitimate business since then and left Calico all the darker side of his affairs as his inheritance, which accounts for owning many ships along with many slave trading businesses among others

- Pirate Captain Alex - Ship: Golden Arrow

She was an oddity not only for her blue hair and lavender eyes but also she was young for such a high ranked offer. Her age usually had older men doubting her ability but her last captain would gladly have her at the helm in any storm. She did belittle the position by her chosen for to speak like a common curr, yet her men followers her orders just as snappy as the most stuff sounding officer. She carried herself proudly, walking with the stride born from years at sea and the confidence of one who knew what they knew.

- Miss Spindle

Seline's instructor. She was an older woman with aging grey hair trying to fade out from its natural red, her eyes were a deep sapphire blue that appeared to have dulled in age. Currently she wore traditional ladies garb, which consisted of one of those dreadfully uncomfortable bonnets,and a black dress that covered the majority of her body from her neck down. She spits when she shouts which is frankly all the time

- Captain Johnny Boots - ship The Yankee

He gave Alex a position and after wrote a recommendation. Known to Calico

Calico Jack trusted informant and messenger

Golden Arrow 1st Mate A gruff looking man, with an unkempt beard and only slightly disheveled clothing.

- Pirate Fredric

Golden Arrow 2nd officer. a tall, scrawny man with a thin mustache who stood formally
once a part of the Gracious Navy.

PLOT

In the world of Eros amongst the never ending seas, there is a small port town, on a small island.A place where creatures of all races, shapes, and sizes can be seen talking and trading goods. Everyone from the poor, to those of high society walked amongst the market this day, it was currently the height of the trade season and everyone was in a buzz over the various foods, fine clothing, and types of Gem from all the corners of the planet.

Captain Antony is dying and wants to see his niece Seline

High Seas adventure adding this description of gems for story support purposes

Magic is a life force for this planet, a source of power if you will.

Magic is found normally in large glowing crystals referred to as 'Gem'. Depending on where they are harvested from and the colour it is, it can be used in a certain way.

Gems can also be used to power machines and engines and can also be forged into many different kinds of swords.

Green Gem- Green Gem is the most common type of Gem, it grows naturally in forests alongside trees or near water sources as plants would.

Traditionally used by farmers due to its association to earth and agricultural activities. In the presence of this Gem plants grow at an exponential rate, and thus increase production rate,but it is otherwise useless at sea.

Red Gem- Red Gem is the second most common gem in existence and can be easily mined.

Red Gem is used to start long lasting and in some cases, indefinite fires. It is also commonly used as a source of heat, fires made with red gem will burn indefinitely, or until the user wishes it to stop.

White Gem- White Gem is less common as it only grows in high mountains, or on islands with extremely low temperatures.

White Gem is commonly used as a cooling system, or a way to cool the temperature in a room, other uses are yet to be discovered.

Purple Gem- Purple Gem is likely found in caves on islands or in dark places. It is more often then not, a great power source for engines and other machinery.

Clear Gem- Clear Gem, unlike the others on this list has an absence of magic and is much smaller than the others. It's commonly used as a form of currency and is thus in plenty

Other forms of Gem will be discovered and discussed later on.

This is a little off topic but I would like all yall to know my real life job is working on ships. So if you have any questions about anything nautical or ship/sailing related I can help with that.

Ok first off yoko, she went of her own free will. And since she did that I highly doubt she'd be wide eyed or struggling regardless of the statements made.
I don't mean to be rude, just thought I'd point it out.

She has to win at least once! It's in her character to be overly clever and one step ahead!

Well if you want her to overly clever maybe you should write her more so? For many times it comes off as a rich girl. But also knowing this information more room for possible clever tricks could be left more open and make this more exciting as such ^___^

I am also assuming since that is going to be a new pirate rule that pirates in this RP are more honorable then those historically? For that way this rule can make sense with other rules of similar nature.

In this setting they have a certain set of codes and rules just as knights do. And I was trying to portray an overly clever, yet still very young, facade by the mere fact she knows the information itself and can use it to her advantage.

*reads post*.......Gonna be honest, I only understood half of what you just said.

OK that I can comprehend and use it to shape how future interactions occur.
And that also makes sense, and again with that in mind fun little loop holes can be left for your clever girl to wiggle through

I'm not sure which post your referring to. I am assuming its the one in this thread that you responded to already? For if I am unclear about something I will gladly clarify anything I made confusing. I'm only human sometimes I make mistakes

Well I kind of knew this would come up, I was referring to the post In the actual rp. You see I know absolutely nothing about ships, or other Nautical activities/manners of communication.

thats not a problem. All she did was pull out mores code flags that signal "we wish to communicate by megaphone" and then the ships are next to each other right now and they are trying to get the 1st mate of the Rosemary to invite them over so that your OC can finally meet the mysterious fadeing captain! Nothing special in that. Sorry for confusing you.

Suprise, captain Antony faked the entire thing because he's lazy and decided to trick someone else into doing his work for him...because pirates.

I'm not sure! I can't even write the storyline I had in mind because someone throws a kink into everything! Do you know how frustrating it is to write a plot you plan weeks in advance, only to have it change completely!!!!!

How about using this forum to share your plot ideas with all players and options/outcomes you would like so we all have something to aim

So far we know it's about pirates and the there are gems but you've given nearly no info on the plot you have created in your mind ...

This was supposed to be a basic adventure rp I was allowing the others to experience as they went. The basic idea was that captain Antony had returned to his home to meet with his niece, whom is his youngest living relative. She herself while content with her life of status longs for something new and exciting. So when her uncle (that she hasn't seen in a number of years) arrives at her home with a certain question she spends a long night thinking about what kind of life she'd rather live until the next morning when she makes her decision, were upon the tale truly kicks off.
