Autumn shivered as a cold fear ran through he body like an icy wave. With reluctance, she pulled herself away from Kenji. Then she stood on her toes and planted a gentle, burning kiss on his cheek. "I'll close the curtains," she murmured.
Pulling away completely, she walked over to the black, heavy curtains and pulled them closed. They blocked all but a tiny sliver of sunlight from coming through. Now it was almost completely black in the fairly large room. Autumn bit her lip as her eyes adjusted and she realize she was only able to make out faint outlines.
"Kenji? I cant see very well in the dark..." she said a little nervously. The images from the graveyard and dinner still haunted her even with Kenji around. It had been sickening to see even though Kenji was all better now. She had a couple of nightmares when she tried to sleep. All of them being the corpse grabbing and dragging her into the coffin with it. Shuddering in digust at the memories, she discarded them to the back of her mind.
Kenji was a whole lot more than someone like her deserved. A faint pang of sadness clouded over her feelings.

Kenji heard Autumns voice as she called for hl his eyes glew red to allow him to see in the dark. He walked up tp her and held he hand pulling her close to him again. His red eyes looked at her beautiful eyes as he felt her sadness."Autumn, are you alright? It will be alright im here. Im here, You will not have to worry any more. You are safe with with me, safe." He said holdimg her close to his chest letting his heart still beat. He looked at her and could tell something was bothering her. He did not wanf to pry but he let it dwell amd he would wait paitiently for her tp tell him what was bothering him. Kenji took his right hand running it through Autumns long silky hair as he held her, comforting her.

Autumn leaned into Kenji as he held her there and she began to drift off as he started reassuring her she was safe. "I just dont understand..Margrett always tell me im not worth it..its true..im not worth a mans time..so why is it that your giving your to me?" she said quietly and looked up at Kenji. Confusion swirled through her emotions and she pulled away a bit to look at Kenji. Slowly, she took his hand and held it loosely unsure of how he would react to it.
Margrett and Henry were heading back to the estate from visiting Margrett's daughter. Margrett was unusally happy and insisted on stopping in town. Once they did, she quickly found the man she was looking for and talked to him quickly. Then handed him five gold peices before insisting that Henry stay in town for the day and night. Once Henry agreed, Margrett headed back to the estate. Alone and with a plan that would most certainly put Autumn six feet under. No one could say it was her fault either since she would be at a dance later on that evening.

Kenji looked towaeds he his eyes following her movements as she walked away. He heard he speak more words.as she put herelf down further."Autumn, did I not say for you not to bellittle yourself. You have pretty hair the color of sunshine, eyes of the most beautiful of colors. And your personaloty is one that all women would be jealois pf. Any man is more than a match for you. I wish it will be me you choose, but I will spend time with you. You did not reject entirly when you first saw me, you were scared but once you relized i cuaed you no harm. He was uncertain why she was soo keen on bellitling herslef. Let alone listen to this person say that she was not worht any thing. He would render that person jelpless. Autumn stared at Kenji in suprise then held his hand a bit tighter and pulled him towards his bed. "Vampires may not need sleep Kenji but humans do," she said in a light, teasing tone.
Then letting go of his hand, she crawled onto his bed and sat with her legs tucked under her. Fixing her hair to one side of her neck like she usually did when she slept. With a glance to Kenji, she gave a sheepish smile before putting it back to where it covered both sides of her neck. "I am sorry. I forgot for a moment," she apologized.
Margrett arrived back and she quickly made her way to the two heavy, wooden, front doors. Entering her home, she asumed that lazy Autumn was still asleep so she quickly went to the parlor. Where she made a call to everyone in town spreading the news that would bring Autumn down. Then she retired to her bedroom and dressed in a beautiful gold gown and some simple hair stylings. Finally making her way back out the front door, watching in satisfaction as the man she had payed earlier came riding up. "It is done mam. They will be here shortly nefore sun down," he said.
"Good. Now leave," Margrett replied and dismissed with a wave of her hand. It was probably mid day by now so she decided to head to the party early. Calling the carriage, it came around and she glance up once at Autumn's bedroom window before climbing in and leaving.

Kenji smiled as he heard Autumn say she needed sleep unlike vampires. He could not help nut keep his happy.smile on his face." Ah I see Autumn I am most sorry for keeping you awake. But vampires do need sleep sometimes, it is what i do, i sleep throughout the day sometimes. But may I stay here whole you slumber?" He asked and appologized for keeping her awake for so long. The night and into the day haf been the most intresting of ones. He was revivdd by a beautiful youmg maiden, who sas not only kind but caring. He had gotten to taste her blood was of the delicate of tastes. Something he would never tire of. Though her blood revived him, a bond was created by the accident, now kenji voweed to do everything in his power to keep her safe. And if need be he would kidnap her to protect her from her own family if need be. For Autumnd he would kill to keep her safe. And he wanted more, he wanted something more sincere he wanted to be close to her and he wanted to claim her heart. For the moment he felt as ifbhe were in love with her but withheld such feelings, afraid that she would run from him.

Autumn smiled and layed down in his queen sized bed on her stomach. Motioning with her finger for him to get on the bed with her. A small, seductive, yet teasing smile found its way onto her lips. She never knew she had this side but for some reason Kenji brought her playful side out. She felt as giddy as a child on christmas. The only thing keeping her from running around the house trying to play tag with Kenji was the fact she was exhausted beyond belief. Not having had many moments of sleep.
Pulling her hair to one side of her neck, she couldnt help it but to have it that way while she was in bed. It was a habit and not an easily broken one either. It was the side Kenji had already bitten and there was still a semi-fresh smell of blood yet he would only be able to scent it if he got maybe a few centimeters from her. "Of course its fine..could you sleep with me?..i feel safe around you.." she said quietly and with a teasing smile.

Kenji looked at her as she motiomed him to the.bed with her. He gulped as he removed the jacket from his shoulders.and set it down on a nearby chair. He breathed.in amd out heavy to keep himself calm. He nooded as he climbed in what was too be his bed. He looked at her and layed down next to her. He couldnt help but cuddle clpse to her and caught the scent of her blood still lingering on her neck. He held her.enjoyingher company along with her scent. "of course I shall sleep in the bed with you Autumn, anything to make you comdortable. And it is something i do not.mind doing.as.well . As long as I.have you in my arms, i am happy." Ue held her close he wanted to play arioumd and go running through dthe manor searching for her. He felt almsot a child like sense of play. Rolling around in green grass, tug of war, he could do anything with her and be happy. He tryied to stay calm as Autumns playful as seductive side came out, he studdered in his words, pausing, unable to keep up. Yet he tried to keep.himslf calm and act like a gentleman.

Autumn blushed as she felt his body against hers and his arms around her, making the blood rush through her neck and up to her cheeks. The scent of blood growing stronger as it rushed to her cheeks. Her blood tasted like honey and tended to give Kenji a craving for it. Autumn layed her head on one of the blood red pillows and closed her eyes with a smile. "Thank you Kenji," she whispered. Soon her breathing slowed and evened showing she was asleep.
Towns people were gathering together at the gates of the manor but none entered. They waited for the sun to go down a bit more. Five men had already set everything up.
Images flashed through Autumn's mind of the letter she had sent to her step sister and a fear started knawing at her even in her sleep. It would be bad if her step sister said anything to Margrett. It wasnt a hidden fact to Autumn that Margrett wanted her dead and gone. Or just gone period. That why so many suitors came over all the time but none took that much of a likeing to Autumn personally. They just wanted to toy with her and were attracted by her beauty. Nothing would go right if Margrett got ahold of that letter.

As Kenji lied down next to her he could smell her sweet honey scented blood rushing to the surface. He took in a deep breath falling alseep with the jntoxicating smell still left in his nose. He though be slept was very keen on his surroumdings he awoke when he could hear echoing beats of numerous hearts as they were at the manor. Autumn had just fallen asleep around an hour ago yet he remained still not wanting to wake her up as she slept. He looked at her as she began to turn in her sleep something awef she was dreing about. Je wanted to roise her from her slumber but would wait. He blinked and his eyes turned red as he could see the veins of the towns people gatjering outside. He didn't like the situation one bit and he hoped Autumn would soon wake up. He grew even more uneasy as theinutes went by. Something as planned and something that smelled like mischeif was a constant aroma to the already dangerous atmosphere. Five moreintues went by Aitumn was still asleep. He decoded je would wait two more minitues before he would wake her.

Kenji had to wait no longer as a loud, forceful knocking was at the door. Autumn stirred and reluctantly got up. "Stay here Kenji. I'll be back," she said with a gentle smile. Hesitating before she leant down and kissed the corner of his mouth but not his lips fully. It burned where she kissed and traveled into his lips making them tingle.
Autumn got off the bed and left the room quickly rushing down the stairs. Opening the door, she came face to face with a tall man who looked to be a preacher. "Autumn Quinn?" he asked gravely.
Autumn nodded and was suddenly grabbed hard by two men who carried her outside. Autumn kicked at them but couldnt reach and she writhed in their hold but they were too strong. Ahead, was several men standing around a platform that had a large pole in the middle. Under the platform were many, many logs and sticks waiting to be lit. They marched Autumn up the platform and bound her to the pole so tightly with rope that she could barely breathe. The priest bow stood before her and the next words that left his lips made her heart plummet to her stomach.
"Autumn Quinn. You are hereby charged with grave robbing of the severest kind. Witchcraftery of being a blood sucking monster commonly known as a vampire. And murder so severe the man was no longer recognizable. All of this is punishable by death. It is chosen by the people that you are to be burned until nothing but ash remain," he said in a cold momtone voice.
Autumn went deathly pale and she suddenly stuggled against the bonds with all her might. A pained scream leaving her lips as an arrow was shot through her abdomen to pin her to the pole. Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth and opened her mouth to say something but no words came out. Blood trickled down the pole and into the lcking flames that started to engulf the platform. Flames danced around her and were now licking at her dress and bare feet. Putting her head back against the pole she took in a deep breath of air. "Kenji..." she whispered since she wasnt capable of doing anything more. The sun was just dissappearing behind the trees as the flames touched and singed the hem of her dress.

Kenji listened to when Autumn told him to wait. He could no longer wait when he heard Autumns heart jump ten beats higher then usual. He then smelled he blood and smoke. He then heard her whisper his name. He let out a most bone chillin ug of pained sounds as let out his anguish that Atumn was hurt. He yelled and bust through the window sill and shattering the galls. On his way out he grabbed his black duster along with a shard of glass. He saw Autumn pinned to a pole as she was soon to be engulfed in flames. In a split second his black and grey figure appear on the flames as he yanked the arrow out of her abdoment pressing his hand against it causing it to stop. He applied enough inhuman pressure to stop.the.bleeding for a moment. He growled as he shifted his.form, becoming more demonic, his jaws lenghtened and his fingers became claws. He spoke in a two tonned voice as he looked at the towns people and the preacher. He yelled and gave another bone chilling screech. "you all will pay......for I am Kenji....bringer of death..."he annoced as he carried Autumn immediatly he speed stepped with Autumn in his arms. He held her close as he came to the grave.yard and to the stone crypt. He moved the heaby boulder immlosible for a human or an animal to move.as he.walked.inside and placed.Autumn down on the stone table. He griwled seeing her wound, the only thing he could think of doing was.joining his blood with hers to save.her life. The crypt was the only thing that remotly was the.same here he could hide and be safe. Here he would keep Autumn safe. He pulled ip his sleeve and sliced.his wrist letting his blood flow freely onto Autumns gaping wound. Once it was fully drenched, he waited. Autumn in a sense would be a vampire, however she was not. She bad been gifted kenjis healinv ability. If she fully were to change, he would have exchange blood.with one another. A simple pin prick of each otbers fingers, then pressing thwm together. Afterwordshe would have to drink of his blood. He feared the worst as he looked at Autumn hoping she would be fine. He couldnt leave her alone. He growled and punched the wall near him shattrlering the thick stone wall a small.spot crum ling with the imprint of his fist. He was going to kill the ones involved for hirting her, howver planned it would die as well. He growled louder trying to contain his beastly side. All he tryied to foucus on was Autumn healing.

Autumn let out a cry of pain as he ripped the arrow from her body. Tears silently fell down her cheeks and she barely had the strength to hold onto Kenji. The pain going through her body was excrutiating as he carried her away. Autumn passed out half way there unable to cope with the pain in her body. Soon she was waking to a loud cracking noise and her eyes fluttered open. The pain was still there but getting slowly better. Looking around, she realized she was in a crypt and it chilled her to the bone. Yet she felt a reassuring presence and looked up to see a pissed off looking Kenji.
"Kenji..." her voice came out as weak and quiet.
A wince escaped her and she put her hand over the wound to her abdomen. It hurt excrutiatingly and her breathing came in small, soft pants. It might have been healing but it hurt like hell and it was going slowly since it was a bad injury that went all the way through. She couldnt help wanting Kenji with her though as if when he left her, she felt alone and cold.

Kenji's face shifted to a gentler appearance as he heard his name is called. He rushed over and held Autumn's hand. He held it close carefull.notbto scrath her with his formed claws. He held her hand to his face and tears of blood streamed to his face. "Autumn im glad you are awake, your wound shoukd be healing. I poured my blood into your wound. You are going to get some of my healing abilities." He said as he looked at her hoping his demonic state would not scare her. He was nervous and at the aame time full of.malice and vengfulness. He looked at her trying to be strong and brave.for her. He felt all.her fear, he felt her pain and wanted ease it Furthed more it pained him to know she was hurg while she was with him. He stayed with her her, doing the best he could do to ease her pain.

Autumn looked at Kenji and studied him silently but a caring love washed over Kenji. She wasnt afraid of him and she trusted him. Taking her hand from his, she rushed it along his cheek and wiped away the tears of blood not caring what they might do to her or even that it was blood she was touching. His touch made her feel ten times better and she looked at his eyes a while before beggining to feel tired. "Kenji..im sleepy.." she said quietly and her eyes fluttered shut.
A bit uncomfortable on the cold stone, she found his hand again and held onto it tightly. Slowly, she drifted off into a uneasy sleep filled with nightmares at what wouldve happened if Kenji had never been revived. Yet it always ended in Kenji suddenly appearing and him being the one burned instead. Tears crept down her cheeks at that dream and an overwhelming sadness filled her.

Kenji's tears ceased the second Autumns hand wipingbaway his tears of blood. He gazed at her in such a.weakened state. He panted as.she said she was sleepy and everytime he sensed she was uncomfortable, she always managed to find her han and find peace when she did. He stayed awale a nervous wreack as Autumn turned in her sleep. He gulped smiling her wounds were healing, slowly but they were healinv nontheless. He stayed beside her not caring what would happen to him at this point as long as she was safe. Of coursenow they were in danger more then ever, Kenji revealed himself and Autumn was in danger by her own townspeople. He growled twas the smae thing they tried to do to him when he entered a village. He laughed at how ignorant the townspeople were to the ways of the world. A true vampire never would have been able to be struck with a arrow. He spat on the ground, theh had to be bribed, and only someone very wealthy could pulk this off. He smirked maybe he at least struck fear into the hearts of all who witnessed tbe sight.

It was early in the morning when Autumn woke up. Maybe two in the morning as her eyes fluttered open. "Kenji?" she whispered, not being able to see well in the old tomb. Her wound had finally healed all the way and she sat up slowly, only feeling sore where it had been.
Thinking about who did this, she knew she had to go back. Kenji would hate it but she had to go back in order to ensure her father that she was alive.
Knowing her dad, he would let them stay there in secret. In the third floor attic but it was quite big and never used. As long as they stayed quiet, no one would ever notice. Hardly anyone but herself went upstairs to the second floor and if they did they were guests. Which they never got many so it didnt matter. "Kenji..i have to go back.." she said quietly.

Kenji rose and immediatly rushed ro Autumn once he heard that she was up. He went over to her and held her hand. "Autumn your awake, I am releived that you are awake. But you want to go back? To that place why?" He asked worrying for her sake, uncertain what would happen if she were to go back."and if we do go back now would be a good time to travel. They wount be able to track us as easy. Since they think that we can only travel at night. " he said as he held her hand close as his eyes vlearly showed jis con,ern for her. She had been hurt, and he could ha e pdevented her. He did not want her to be in harms way.

Autumn pulled Kenji close and brushed her thumb along his cheek. They were in a very close proximity as she looked at his eyes. "I have to go back and reassure my dad. Hes a good man and i know he loves me. Please Kenji..he the only family i have left.." she whsipered the last part pleadingly.
Moving closer to Kenji, she ha a begging look in her eyes that made her look like a very cute puppy. Pulling her hair to one side of her neck, she twirled a lock of hair around her finger while she pulled her hair to one side. As she moved her hair, the sound her pulse became louder since her hair had been dulling the sound till it was barely audible.
Blood was still fresh on her lips from blood welling up in her mouth. However she didnt know there had even been blood on her lips since barely remembered anything after them piercing her with an arrow. The sweet honey smell easily drifted around Kenji.

Kenji sighed as she told him the true reason why she must reaturn. She needed to tell her father she was still alive after the ordeal. He nodded and looked at her as cute as she was covered in her own blood and his."we will go back. Do you wish to go now Autumn?" He asked keeeping her close to him. Her wamr skn, he honey sweet blood. Along with her gorgoues eyes staring at him, begging. He looked at her and let out a sigh."I understand, your father is very important to you and I respect that. "he said this time not leaving her side. It washer only family and kenji knew all to well, the horrors of losing lovesd ones. He did.not dwell upon it he only wished for Autumns happiness along with her safteh, he would do both.
