Th Ork snorted.
"Whatever you say. I don't get dis magic stuff." He says moving forward with his usual waddle.

It wasn't much longer before the other Orcs arrived, carrying their specified creatures. "Alright. We got hte damn animals. Where do ya want us to put 'em?" Asked one of the orcs. "There." Ingar said, indicating the troll. The orcs nodded and went over, dumping the bodies, as Ingar got into position, before stabbing his sword into the ground. He began to speak in an unknown tongue. The ground began to crack, with a malevolent purple glow seeping up from the cracks, before they began to spread, reaching to the bodies of the Troll, the Drakes, and the Gryphons.
Out of the eerie cracks purple mist and what seemed like tentacles enveloped the bodies. Forming a large blob it moved and convulses the light grew brighter. The Orks looked away and covered their eyes as the light faded leaving a horrific mess behind.
The mess left behind, a giant blob of the Chimera's tar-like blood, began to convulse and bubble before beginning to grow. The outer most layer hardened and turned a deep shade of blue, before pops and cracks could be heard as the bones took form. Its arms tore from its sides, starting out scrawny before quickly bulking out. They were identical to the Troll's arms, but ended in the talons of the Gryphon and were covered by the fur of the Drakes.
The base of the blob began to solidify into three columns, taking the forms of the chimera's legs and tail. The tail was long and powerful, clearly from the Drake, as were its legs. Soon, a large ball of tar buldged out of the top of the chimera, slowly taking shape. A sharp, owl-like beak formed, as horns grew out of where the brow was, curling back like the Drake's. Finally, the Chimera's glowing red eyes opened. It let out a cacophonous bellow that was a mix of the Troll's roar, the Drake's hiss, and the Gryphon's shriek, before it looked down at Ingar, waiting for its orders.

Rogg and the Orcs gazed up to the large beast. It let out a shriek like cry and hissed gazing to the Orcs with a snarl.
"You made that thing from da bodies?" An Orc who brought the Drake says. Rogg examined it. The looks of the creature at first glance would seem neat due to the fur. But beneath the fur and more noticeably between the gaps in fur the welding like stitches could be seen. The body looked like it was melted together. If it wasn't for the fur the creature would look like a horrific amalgamation of parts.

"No. I made it from the pine cones buried in the snow." Ingar said, sarcasm dripping from his voice. "Let's get moving. We don't have an eternity." He said.
The next morning Jackie yawned sitting up and rubbing her eyes, as she looked around the room she'd been given at the inn. It wasn't long before there was a knock at her door. "Wake up!" Called one of hte soldiers. "We're leaving in an hour!" He shouted. Jackie grumbled, before getting out of her bed and getting dressed. Once she was dressed she left her room and went to the dining area.

In the main dining room the other Empire soldiers were ready and fully dressed. Wilhelm and Alrick stood towards the front of them and looked over to see Jackie enter. "Slept in?" Wilhelm says wandering up to her. The other soldiers stood ready. Unarmed and waiting to leave.
Jackie nodded, rubbing her eyes. "We're heading out now?" She asked. "Aren't we gonna eat breakfast or something?" Jackie asked.
"We had little time. They gave us somethings at dawn but you didn't seem to budge." Wilhelm turned to the door. "You can have some of the rations when we get going. However we need to move soon. The longer we wait th longer we risk all we set out here to do." Wilhelm made his way out. Alrick shook his head.
"Not a morning person." He smiles to Jackie. "He's right though. We need to move. On the road you can have some of the rations. We should be at the capital by dusk if we leave shortly."

Jackie nodded before they headed out to the stables. As expected their horses had been swapped out for local Drakes. They were large, larger than the horses. Some of them hissed and snapped at the soldiers as they approached. "Careful with them, Humans." Spoke the Tamer who was lending the beasts. "These beasts are my lively hood. If one of 'em doesn't come back, I'll have whoever's responsible's head on a pike." The Tamer hissed. Jackie kept as far away from the Drakes as she could. She never liked them. They always seemed to aggressive to be used as transportation, especially compared to horses.
The Drake looked over to Jackie. It didn't snarl but let out a rumbling growl from it's belly. It stared at the girl. As she approached it let out a snap with it's jaws. One of the younger tamers growled at the creature and pulled at it's reins.
"Don't worry about it. You need to insert yourself. They won't bite but if they sense you're afraid they'll let you know." He says keeping the beast under control. Wilhelm and Alrick manage to easily mount their Drakes. They showed no fear with them. The soldiers were timid getting atop them and anxious but once up had their confidence restored. Several were attached to carts. One Drake per wagon was able to transport them. However they were large and strong enough to only need one each. Heavy muscular creatures with great strength would be able to bring the wagons with greater ease than the horses could in such an environment.

Jackie gulped before clambering onto her Drake. It hissed as she climbed into its saddle. The drake saddles weren't like horse saddles. Unlike horse saddles, the drake saddles had a small ride around them, save for where the rider's legs went. There was a tall back rest, like on most chairs. In the rests were holes for the Y'kish tails to slide through.
"Alright.." Said oen of the soldiers. "Well, we're just killing daylight sitt'n here. Let's go." The man said, clicking his heels into the drake's side. The drake let out a low guttural snarl at its rider. One of the Y'kish tamers let out a deep laugh. "Poking a Drake with spurs is only going to enrage it, Human." The Tamer said. "Remember, these are predators. Poke 'em and they'll spin around and bite." The Tamer said. "Then how do we make them go?" The soldier asked. "Say "Vic-lecrue." The Y'kish said.

Wilhelm got himself atop his mount and with everyone ready he gave the command.
"Vic-lecrue." He said as he gave the reigns a slight jolt. The Drake shook itself and began walking. It lumbered forward like the massive beast it was moving through the snow without issue. Alrick followed along and so did the remaining soldiers. They all moved along through the forest. Their journey continuing slowly but surely.

The scout team continued for a few hours. Save for discussion between the soldiers, mostly complaining about hte cold, or the smell of the Drakes, it was fairly quiet. They soon came to a large farm. The plants growing were clearly native to the region. Even then, there were a number of large brazziers with flames in them, keeping the ground from freezing. How the flames stayed lit in the harsh weather was anyone's guess, but they stayed lit.
It wasn't long before the Farmers came out. They were a large group of Y'kish, unsurprisingly. They spoke amongst themselves in their native language, before the largest one stepped forward. "What are you humans doing here?" He asked angrily. "We're just passing through. We're heading to the capital on official Imperial business." Alrick said. "We're sorry for any inconvenience." Alrick said.

They slowly began to pan out. Spreading over to show they vastly outnumbered the soldiers and Paladins. The Y'kish which spoke spat into the snow.
"Another extermination?" He says with spite lacing his words. "I couldn't care less about you people now get off my property!" He says as his hand moves to his waist. Wilhelm looked over the farmers. They seemed focused and almost like wolves waiting to strike. This was concerning but he let Alrick go. Hoping he could disarm this situation and he wouldn't need to neutralize these individuals.

"Very well. If you could step aside, we would be more than happy to continue on wards." Alrick said. "For what? So you can steal all our crops? Poison our water supply? We aren't stepping aside for none of you." Another of the Farmers hissed. "You can take your lizards and 'official paladin business' and turn right back around and go back to what ever pit you crawled out of." He said.
Wilhelm whispered something to Alrick.
"We don't have time for this." The farmers then pull out a mix of short swords and pistols. They pointed them at the humans with a snarl. A total of five short swords and four pistols were aimed. One pistol with the one talking and another three men down to his left. There was a small barricade of blades holding them in place. Wilhelm's hand went for his sword.
"One last time. Leave or we'll gut you like the pigs you are." He declares clocking his pistol. He notices Jackie to the side and hesitates for a second but regains his focus.

"Please lower your weapons." Alrick said. "We have no interest in your crops or water." Alrick said. "Screw this." Hissed one of the Y'kish armed with the pistols. "They aren't listening." He said, before firing. Alrick's hand shot up. "Divine Shield!" He declared as a force field appeared before him. The bullet hit and deflected into the snow.
The Drakes cries out and without a sparred moment both soldiers and Y'kish were atop each other. Fists flew as short swords were disarmed from rather untrained hands and the snarling Drakes continued to cry out at the conflict. Enraged by the situation Wilhelm drew his blade and let out a cry.
"Enough!" He cries in a mighty voice as he stabs his blade into the ground. An energy shock wave rocks across the ground knocking everyone back. The Drakes remain stable and growling. Both species are thrown back three or four feet and weapons knocked away. They gaze up to the Paladin. The empire soldiers looking scared and ashamed and Y'kish breathing rapidly as they look ready to be executed. Wilhelm's ice cold glare hit them all like daggers. Somehow it felt colder than the snow they traversed.

"HEY!" Jackie yelped when the shot was fired, she quickly dismounted and drew her sword, before launching a blast of ice magic at the Y'kish. Alrick barely had the chance to open his mouth again before the Soldiers and Y'kish began to fight. He drew his sword as well, blocking a strike from one of the Y'kish, before Wilhelm intervened. Alrick clung to his Drake as everyone was thrown.
Jackie landed at the feet of her Drake, who was hissing and snarling at the others. "G-Go ahead and do your worst Human Pig!" The Y'kish that fired the shot hissed.
