"Motiib!" Jaqyl shouts as he gets to his feet. Putting aside the Chimera he focused on the revenant of Ingar. Holding his breath for a moment a great heat burnt up inside him. Lunging forward he opened his mouth to shoot a fireball at the undead warrior. The chimera fell to all fours and blinked as it regained its composure.

Jackies quick thinking brought her spiked tail into the Orcs side and flung it into the snow. Much like the other its wounds were painful. It fell to the ground and was unable to get the strength to get up. He roared in pain and unlike the other pulled out the bloody icicles. Tossing the three aside it stumbled to its feet before blood rushed out. The Orc froze before falling down from blood loss. Dislodging the icicles led to fatal internal damage. The other remained on the ground in pain.

Witnessing the Orcs be taken down the Chimera lunged towards them. Roaring as it approached it looked at the wounded Orc and before the creature could utter a command to stop had his head bitten down on and he was thrashed about before being tossed aside. The Chimera then turned it's attention to Jackie and Alrick.

"Oi Paladin!" Cried Rogg. "What you think you iz doin killin me boiz? Is rude wat dat iz." He says swinging his mace. "But least with dem gits dead I get more pay for meself." He grins and extends his shoulders wide to be intimidating. He was a large Orc but Wilhelm had killed bigger. Steadying his blade he glares to the Orc.
"Make it quick then. I need to kill your boss over there." He nudges his head towards Ingar.
"Ha! Gonna be hard when you're dead." Rogg roars and charges forward.
Ingar quickly spotted the fire ball. He pulled his blade free from Motiib who fell into the snow. He side stepped the fire ball letting it fly off into the distance before dissipating. He stepped forward, prepping his shadow ball spell. He fired the spell, lobbing a ball of pure shadow and malevolence at Jaqyl.

Alder immediately shoved Jackie out of the Chimera's way, before quickly side stepping to its side, narrowly avoiding its charge. "GOLDEN JUDGEMENT!" Alrick shouted, as a golden ball of light formed in his hand. He shoved it forward, firing a beam of holy light into the Chimera's side, right where Jaqyl had stabbed it. The Chimera roared in pain as the spell seared into its flesh. It swung an arm at Alrick who narrowly avoided the swing.

By now all the commotion had drawn the attention of the Dragons and Wyverns, all of which were roaring, hissing, and shrieking. Some of the sturdier ones waited patiently for the battle to end so they could come out and scavenge whatever was left.

Jaqyl Jumped to the side and narrowly avoided the spell. The ball of dark energy blew a chunk from some stone as it impacted and Jaqyl stumbled to his feet.
"You control that thing?" He says indicating the Chimera. He grit his teeth and let his eyes wander to Motiib who was badly wounded on the ground.

The blast caused the Chimera to open up a wide wound on its side. It shrieked out and swung at Alrick who narrowly dodged the attack as it started to move back slowly. Backing up and soon being above two of the dead Orcs. They were within five feet of it. It roared defensively feeling as if it was at a disadvantage with its gaping wound in its side. Black tar like blood oozed out.

Wilhelm clashed with Rogg. The Orcs full size and force sent him stumbling back. He grunted as he pushed him off and went for his own attack. Rogg countered that with a swing. The impacts and their rebound caused both weapons to fly from their wielders hands. Neither one had the time or desire to expose themselves to the other to get it. The two charged and slammed into one another. Wilhelm punched Rogg in the jaw breaking a tusk off as the big Orc dented Wilhelm's armour with a mighty punch. The two grappled before Rogg bit into Wilhelm's collar with his blunted fang. Getting in between the armour he bit with force. Wilhelm shrieked and put his hand on Rogg's chest.
"Holy Judgement." He says between groans of pain. In his palm a blast of holy energy erupts. Rogg pulls off collar just in time to have the blast send him flying. Crashing a good twenty feet from the chimera he pulls himself to his feet but stumbles to his knee.
"Dats it. I'm outta 'ere. This is not goin well bone man!" He snarls and looks around for someplace to escape. Wilhelm casts a healing spell on his neck to seal the thankfully shallow wound. However the pain it still present as he only did a bit of light patchwork.
Taking a chance to check on his Chimera whilst Jaqyl was distracted, Inger glanced over to the Chimera, seeing the gaping wound in its side. He scowled. Rogg landed not far from him. Ingar turned his attention back to Jaqyl. He noticed Jaqyl still distracted and took his chance, firing another shadow ball at the Warrior.

Ingar turned when he heard Rogg. "Good. That means you're no longer an asset." Ingar said coldly, launching a shadow ball into the orc. The shadow ball hit and Ingar walked over, grabbing Rogg by the armor. Ingar began speaking in the same evil tongue he had to create the chimera, before stabbing his sword into the ground. Glowing purple cracks formed running through the snow and ice to the Chimera, encircling it in a demonic rune.

"GET BACK!" Alrick shouted, shoving Jackie out of the circle before leaping out himself. "My Chimera's needing a few snacks." Ingar said, dragging the still living Rogg to the circle, before throwing him into it.

The ball of dark energy was spotted just in time and Jaqyl was able to dodge. It crackled in the snow as it burst. He glared at Ingar as he saw him shoot his allied Orc in shock.

Rogg was shot back at the feet of the Chimera. His chest scorched by dark energy as he coughed up a thick red mess. He tried to make a retort of anger at the undead man but couldn't muster more than a pained gurgle. The runes erupted from Ingar and began to encircle the Chimera. It snarled and looked down to Rogg who looked up at the hungry beast afraid. It looked hungry and like a lion teasing it's prey. The light of the runes flared up and parts of the Chimeras flesh extended out as tar like tendrils. They wrapped around the dead Orc nearby and Rogg. Rogg flailed fearfully as he was dragged into the Chimera's dark mass. Pulled into the wound purple sparks shot off the Chimera as its beaked head let out a cry of pain. As the sparks faded the Chimera was completely recovered. Its severe injuries were healed up and the faint face of Rogg could be made out from the flesh over the once gaping wound on its side. It cries out and looks over to Alrick and Jackie as it charges the two.

As the Chimera was being healed Wilhelm rushed for his sword and plucked it from the frosted ground. Looking over the blade he took a deep breath. Glaring towards Ingar as he focused on healing the Chimera he charged. With sword sweeping in from the right he went to try and remove the head of the undead Necromancer.
cIngar quickly pulled his sword free. He used it to block Wilhelm's strike. "It would seem we have an obnoxious habit of running into each other." Ingar said, before delivering a swift kick into Wilhelm's stomach, throwing him back. "I was expecting a fight between three Paladins, and two Y'kish high guards would be difficu-" Ingar began, before his feet were suddenly shoved out from under him. Ingar hit the snow with a thud, before his arms were pinned to his sides by a green furry tail. Motiib had coiled her tail around him to keep him down. Her hands was on her wound and some blood was coming from her mouth. "Get him!" Motiib ordered Jaqyl. She wouldn't be able to restrain the Revenant for long.

Jackie and Alrick lept out of the way of the beast. Alrick was about to try and blast a spell at the Chimera, before its tail whipped into him, throwing him to the ground. Jackie hit the Chimera with her blizzard spell, freezing part of it, before it rose to its feet, shattering the ice.

The shrieking of the Dragons and Wyverns, which had been a constant cacophonous racket, suddenly stopped. The dragons and wyverns that were out immediately retreated to their nests or hid.

The fleeing Wyverns weren't noticed by the Paladins of Y'kish. They were too focused on the battle to care about the screeching animals nearby. Jaqyl ran with his pained hip and grabbed Rogg's mace that laid in the snow. Wincing in pain he didn't slow as he moved in to swing against Ingar's head and crush his skull with the weapon. Wilhelm pulled himself up and drew his sword ready to launch a follow up attack and hack the Revenant's body apart.

The Chimera broke from the ice with ease. Having absorbed living flesh it had fresh vigor compared to the tired Paladins. Letting out another bird like shriek it lunged for Jackie. It's talons out front and ready to tear into her like the Gryphon it was made of would a helpless deer.
Ingar quickly swung his leg, kicking Motiib in the side and weakening her grip on him. He broke free, rolling out of the way of Jaqyl's strike just before it hit. Ingar recovered his sword before raising to his feet, blocking the attack from Wilhelm with it.

Jackie yelped, jumping to the side again. The Chimera caught itself, turning to face Jackie again. Before it could attack, a massive shadow covered the battlefield. A cry that sound like a combination of a wolf howl and an elk shriek could be heard. A massive, taloned hand crashed into the snowy ground, throwing snow into the air, and causing a small tremor. Towering over everything but the mountains themselves was the guardian chimera. It's face resembled a dragons, with long horns coming off the back of its head. Its body was long, easily several hundred feet in length, and it had six dog-like limbs, ending in bird talons.

Ingar's Chimera rose to its feet, letting out its unnatural bird-like cry at the Guardian. The Guardian glowered down at the abomination at its feet, its face showing a mixture of hate and disgust. The Chimera moved to attack, only for one of the Guardian's hands to slam down on top of it, pinning it to the ground. The Guardian inhaled, before removing its hand. It exhaled, unleashing a stream of blue flames onto the chimera. The snow almost instantly evaporated as the fire hit. The Chimera screamed in pain as it's body was incinerated by the flames. The jet of fire stopped and all that remained was a massive pile of ash. Nothing in the Chimera was strong enough to withstand the heat. Not its bones. Not even its putrid tar-like blood.

The Chimera shrieked out when pinned. Trying to flail it could do nothing under the grasp of the massive guardian. When the larger claw was removed it tried to counter but was quickly engulfed in the magical blue flames that spewed from its mouth. The magical flames effected the necrotic energy that formed the abomination and any magical resistance and stability it had was washed away as flames stripped flesh from its bones and shattered the twisted bones to ash as a burnt crater was left in the wake of the flames. Incinerated to nothing bust a thinnest pile of ash truly nothing remained.

Wilhelm and Jaqyl froze as they witnessed this creature destroy the Chimera with ease. It's mere presence was enough to bring everyone around to a frozen awe. It was larger than even the great Dragon's Wilhelm had heard of. After a few seconds of being in awe at the display of power he turned his attention to Ingar.
"It's over. Your beast is dead and you will follow!" He calls out launching his next strike against the undead adversary.
Ingar blocked Wilhelm's strike. "I assumed it was obvious, I already am dead." Ingar hissed. Slowly, Ingar was beginning to overpower Wilhelm in the blade lock. "GET OFF OF HIM!" Jackie shouted, charging forward, tackling the Revenant to the ground, knocking Wilhelm free from the blade lock. The two landed with a thud in the snow. Jackie drew her sword back, before shoving it down, only to have the Revenant smack the blade out of her hands with a swing of his arm. Before Jackie could respond, Ingar's hand closed around her throat. He hoisted her off of him before throwing her to the side.

The Guardian watched what was left of the fight. It could sense the dark magics keeping the Revenant alive. It didn't like that. Once the small Y'kish was thrown off, the Guardian moved without hesitation. One of its massive hands slammed down on Ingar, before it drew its hand back, throwing the Revenant out and down the chasm behind it. The Guardian glowered down at the Paladins and Y'kish, smoke streaming from its mouth.

When Ingar seemed to have the upper hand in the battle the Guardian dealt with him as if he was nothing. Not killing him up front but removing him from the battle at the moments. Being undead Wilhelm assume he survived but was satisfied with the moment of reprieve. Though his concern returned as the Guardian glared down to them. Using his blade as a stand he held himself up with it. His injuries from battle starting to be felt. Jaqyl was with Motiib and helped her up as he looked to the Guardian.
"I believe this is what you were after." He says as he eyed the titanic beast cautiously. Wilhelm nodded.
"I would think so."
Alder got to his feet, also using his sword to stand, staring up in awe at the Guardian. In his life time he'd slain a few dragons. They were like mice compared to the Guardian. Jackie remained where she'd landed in the snow, partly too scared to move with the giant dragon-like chimera glaring at them. It looked as though it were about to blast them with the same fire it used to kill Ingar's chimera.

Motiib reached into her back, wincing in pain as she did, before pulling out the Talisman she'd been given earlier by Qi'ilv. She held the Talisman out. The Guardian lowered its head, turning slightly to give one of its eyes a better look at the talisman. It let out a snort, raising its head back up. The Guardian regarded the group one last time, before it lifted off the ground. It flew off into the snowy mist of the area. "D-Does that mean w-we can go?" Jackie stammered.

Wilhelm made his way over to Motiib and used a healing spell on her. It wouldn't completely repair the wound but it would make it stable and reduce a bit of the pain. Jaqyl helped Motiib stand and wiped snow from the wound. The blood had at least coagulated and it should be well enough to make it back for proper medical treatment. He looked to Wilhelm's blade and nodded to the Paladin. Wilhelm understood and passed it to him. Keeping his balance as muscles ached. Jaqyl cut some of his cloak and used it to wrap around Motiib's wound and keep it roughly bandaged together. He handed the blade back to Wilhelm and looked to Jackie.
"We'd be dead now if it didn't let us pass." He looks to Motiib and up the mountain. "It's still quiet a trip. I don't think Motiib would make it with her injuries." He has a concerned stare at his fellow guard.
"And what do you suggest? It's just as harsh going forward as it is going back, and I think it's pretty obvious I can't go back on my own."Motiib said. "They need a guide to continue onward, and leaving me here is just asking a dragon to come down and eat me." Motiib said. "Let's just keep going." She said. Jackie got to her feet once she ot a grip on herself again. "Can't we jsut turn around and take her back to the village and come back?" Jackie asked.

Jaqyl shakes his head and sighs.
"If we turn back now we may not get this chance again. The Chimera may not see the talisman as enough again. We should keep going." He looks over to Wilhelm. "Could you keep with her. Her injuries are great but your healing magic is better then ours if nothing else than stabilizing her?" Wilhelm nods.
"I'll stay with her. You move up with Jackie and Alrick. I'll stick with her by the back." Wilhelm casts a curing touch on Jaqyl to heal some of his injuries. As he does Jaqyl thanks him and hands over Motiib. Having her over his shoulder.
Motiib was heavy, not surprisingly considering she stood a head taller than Wilhelm did and wore rather heavy armor. The group crossed the bridge to continue on. "Think he's gone? The zombie" Jackie asked, peeking over the edge of the bridge into the chasm below. "Doubtful. For him to be capable of casting magic, and speaking the way he was I believe he was a revenant. They are very difficult to kill." Alrick replied as they walked on.

Jaqyl blows some smoke from his nose as they make their way across the bridge. The chasm below went black as the void and was unable to see the depths of it.
"Requires magical weapons I believe. Or having the one who revived him to undo the magic. We don't tend to deal with Undead very often up here. Seems more like a plague contained to the Empire's lands." Jaqyl adds while the group keep moving along. The sounds of distant Wyverns fading. Wilhelm may have been smaller than Motiib but he was strong enough to support her even while weakened.
"You'd want to avoid leaning on it. If you avoid more pressure and damage it should heal up quick. Seems he missed everything of importance."
"A shame that is. The world would be a far less bleak place if that kind of disease wasn't found anywhere." Alrick said as they walked. "Think we might run into him again?" Jackie asked. Alder paused. He spotted a piece of loose ice and pushed over the edge of the bridge into the chasm below. He stood there for a few moments, and no sound could be heard from the ice hitting the walls or a potential floor. "I doubt it." Alrick said, before continuing on. "That's easier said than done." Motiib said, trying to put as little weight on the side of her body that the wound was on. "After all that corpse didn't' run its sword through you." She added.

"I know no living thing could last there long." Jaqyl glares down into the abyss for a moment. Stopping moving. He snaps himself from his daze as he notices Jackie and Alrick staring and keeps moving. "We mustn't slacker." He says marching onward as he looks back to Wilhelm and Motiib. Wilhelm smirked at the report.
"Exactly. Which is why you should put most of your weight on me. Luckily it wasn't a poisoned blade or anything. Fortunately he's a poor shot." Wilhelm had a different aura about himself now. Almost as if that of a fatherly figure trying to keep spirits up. Motiib reminded him of Jackie. Something which naturally brought out these feelings of respect and care. As far as the field was concerned he had gained respect for her in combat. If nothing else respect was enough to warren a softer hand in these times.
"Well, that creature wasn't alive." Alrick said, looking down the cavern as well. He glanced to Jaqyl when he said they should move on. Alrick nodded. "Agreed. I'd rather get the stone long before that corpse does." He said as they continued one. They crossed the bridge and continued onward towards their destination.
