"Oh good. There's a sparring field other end of town. Stones in a circle on the ground. A couple meters wide. About two blocks from the town hall. I'll see you there in two hours." He turns away smirking. Something about his arrogance would be just off putting. Especially with how up front he was compared to others being more timid and quiet.

Jackie watched him leave with out saying a word. She turned to continue looking for Wilhelm before she paused. "I dunno where town hall is...." Jackie said to herself. She looked around, before eventually walking up to one of the city guards. "Uh, where's city hall?" She asked the guard.

The guard was a gruff looking Y'kish. several decades older than Jackie. His skin was more leathery and around his eyes were wrinkles. He didn't look like he had the easiest of life. His horns were almost double the length of the challengers but furled around more. He looked to her and noticed the Paladin seal. He seemed to scowl.
"Down that road you'll reach the markets. It's the second street on your right will lead you to the town hall." He says halberd in hand.

"Ok, cool. Thanks." Jackie said, before heading off. It took her nearly an hour to find the sparring field. She waited there for the rest of the otherh our. In hindsight, there wasn't really much else for her to do.

"Well well looks like you came." The young Y'kish from before as he holds two poles. Each one was a wooden stick about six feet long. He tosses one to Jackie. "You know how to fight with a simply weapon?"

Jackie caught the staff. She'd never used staffs before. She had limited training with two handed swords. And even less with war hammers and axes. Regardless of her training with such weapons, the staff didn't have the same weight to it that axes, hammers, and swords did. She took a standard great sword weilding stance.

"You know how to use that?" He says noticing her stance. He assumed a defensive stance. Around them several towns people looked on. A match between an Empire Paladin and Y'kish trainee. Both being Y'kish is interesting. One of them was an older Y'kish male. Slightly older than the commander. He sat on a post nearby.

"Not really." Jackie said to herself in her head. She made the first move, charging forward and swinging the staff at the other Y'kish.

The staff came down and with ease he blocked.
"Well that's obvious." He says countering each blow. As she came down again he parried and struck her leg.

Jackie fought through theh its that landed on her. After the beating she endured from the Chimera several months ago, a few thwacks from a fancy stick was nothing. Though that didn't mean the hits didn't start to agrivate her. As the two continued to fight, Jackiem anaged to avoid more of the Y'kish's attacks, but couldn't land any of hers, all of them being parried, blocked, or avoided.

"Well you sure can take a hit. Doesn't seem like you can land one though." He said taking some steps back. Changing into a more offensive stance he lunged forward.

"Yeah, cause I've actually gone on mis-OOF!" Jackie began, before the end of the Y'kish's staff rammed into her gut, throwing her back a few feet and knocking thew wind out of her. She landed on her back with a thud.

The staff was positioned just above her neck.
"See? You're little more than a pet." He laughs taking in his victory.

Jackie was silent, as she caught her breath. She was about to sit up, before the staff was held above her neck. Jackie let out a snarl. Her tail whipped through the air, slamming into the Y'kish's legs, forcing them out from under him. She quickly rose to her feet and retrieved her staff, which she'd dropped when she was hit in the stomach. She coiled her tail around one end and began to push down on it with her hands. The staff snapped in half, and Jackie tossed the half her tail held to the side, before taking an offensive stance, holding the other end of the staff like a sword.

Falling to his chest he hit the ground. Knocking into the light snow covered ground. That was unexpected. Hearing the staff snap he looked up to her.
"No respect for property huh?" He says charging her. He went to swing down from above.

"It's a wooden stick. You'll live." Jackie hissed. She shot the staff out, parrying the blow, before swinging the staff into the Y'kish's side.

As he was parried he almost fell over leaving himself open. He looked on surprised as he realized what happened.

Jackie swung the staff into the Y'kish again, picking up the pace with her swings.

He failed to block. His defenses broke he was smacked around. Jackie was far faster with the smaller weapon. The older Y'kish on the side watched and smirked.

As the fight drew on, Jackie's attacks didn't slow down. Eventually she started mixing punches and kicks into her attacks between blows with hte staff. Jackie swung her staff at hte Y'kish once more. He manage to block, but Jackie's blow tore his staff from his hands. Jackie gave a swift kick to the Y'kish's stomach, knocking him onto his back. She placed her foot on his chest, keeping him from getting up. "And what was all that about me being a 'pet'?" Jackie questioned, glaring down at the Y'kish.
