((As you wish ))
Bade laid on his side, stroking back her hair as she rested. He was in heaven right now, he thought and nothing could make him shake that feeling. He leaned down and kissed her ear.

((Thanks ))
Zalia was resting peacefully against him, curled up contentedly with her feet tangled with his. Cold feet, mind you, and that was why she was warming them with his. When she felt his lips touch her ear a smile grew on her lips and she giggled softly.
"Can we stay like this forever?" She whispered, nuzzling her face against him. Her lips pressed against his collarbone, the closest part of him that she could kiss. "I think we should find a way to just stop time, and make this last forever."

"I'm pretty much positive that some witch somewhere can actually do that." He looked entirely serious as he said the words. Then he cracked a smile and nuzzled into her. "I don't ever want to get up! Screw the outside world, this room is all that matters!"
He snatched her in his arms and grumbled.
He snatched her in his arms and grumbled.
Zalia giggled and then squealed as she was snatched up in his arms. "Yep, I agree!" Her lips pressed against his nose and then she growled at him playfully. "Rawrrrr!" She nipped gently at his lips and then poked at his tummy.
"We'll have to find that witch someday. What do you think?" She smiled at him, her hand sneaking over to grab a pillow so that she could suddenly whap him on the head with it! "Gotcha!" She squirmed out of his arms and scrambled to her feet, quickly rushing to the other side of the room to hide from his retaliation.

Another pillow was airborne before she was done fleeing. It found purchase on her face and when she was able to see again, Bade was ready on the other side of the room. He pursued with another pillow and dodged by ducking under the side of the bed.
He caught a glimpse outside his window then of the sun. "Hey, what time is it?"
He caught a glimpse outside his window then of the sun. "Hey, what time is it?"
Zalia flailed comically as she was hit and she quickly tossed it back at him. When he asked about the time, she glanced at the clock. "...time to get dressed." She sighed. "It's after six. We should to meet your pack soon." She walked over and hugged him. "You should also pack some things. Just in case they aren't receptive. then we can run back here, grab the bags and leave before they can catch us."
She brushed her fingers along his cheek. "Let's hope it doesn't come to that. I don't want to seperate you from your family." She pressed her lips to his for just one moment, and then she went to her room to get some clean clothes and then take a quick shower while he packed.
She came out clean and dressed. "Are you ready, Bade?"

She came out clean and dressed. "Are you ready, Bade?"
"No, I;m not ready. I don't want to." He flopped back down on the bed. He was dressed and wearing a blue-gray v-neck shirt and shorts, but he hadn't fixed his bed hair or bothered putting shoes on yet. "I don't care what they have to say. And honestly, I would just leave if it wouldn't mean Eve was winning."
Zalia kenlt down on the bed and touched his face. "We can do this. Don't worry. Just be how you always are with me. There's no way they can say no if they see how in love we are." She pressed a kiss to his forehead. "I promise. I won't let them take me away from you. They just can't seperate us."
She tugged him to his feet. "Come on Bade, please. We can just get it over with and everything will be okay either way. No matter what happens...I'm determined that Eve won't win." She smiled gently. "Trust me. Do this...for me?"

He looked a little wounded, "Obviously I'm doing this for you. You know that." He got to his feet and shoved his shoes on and made his way to the door. "Do you want to drive or walk?" His face was sullen.
Zalia took hold of him and pulled him close, kissing him deeply. "Shh. It's okay. I'm sorry. Please smile." She kissed him again. "Let's walk. Come on, please smile for me Bade." Another kiss. "Think, silly. Think about what a great day we had. Think about that, and smile." She took his hand and started walking with him.
He blushed a little, which was hard to decipher as his face tended toward red naturally. He nodded and followed her out the door, stopping to lock it again behind him. He meandered down the sidewalks to his father's house. As he had not confronted anyone yet on this matter, he was anxious to see what was going on. Eve was his only source of information and she clearly was not to be trusted.
Zalia reached the place where the rest of the pack was gathered. Everyone was immediately in arms with Zalia's presence, but she strolled right to the middle of the meeting, holding Bade's hand. "Hello everyone," she said calmly. "Bade and I have come to talk to you about something."
No one attacked, yet, because of the alpha's son being right there. She knew that, and she was relieved. So they would listen, at least for a moment. She looked to Bade and gave his hand a gentle squeeze. "I've already told you all how the stories you heard are wrong. But now here's the most important part. I love Bade, and he loves me."

Almost tangible tension rolled over the gathering of wolf men as Zalia spoke. Who was she to deem herself important enough to speak to the Pack without pre-amble or introduction? They took her intrusive words as rude and uninvited. True, they were only there for that same reason of which she spoke, but there was decorum involved. The Alpha broke the crowd and advanced to his son. He embraced Bade, who let go of Zalia's hand to receive his father. The two men parted and Rafe Ulf regarded his son from an arm's length.
He turned from him to address the Pack. "Friends and Family of the Red Mane Pack; it is true that my son is free to bed whomever he will. We cannot condemn him for that alone. The allegations drawn up by my daughter, however, are serious and cannot be brushed aside. Let Bade speak his part and then we shall pass judgment as a whole." There were a few brief howls in response, other shifted their weight and still other gnashed their teeth.
Bade nodded to his father and took his place in the position of the speaker. He held his hands up for the disquiet to be quelled and the commanding presence of the Alpha's son hushed the murmurs of discontent. "Friends, it is true that this woman, Zalia and we have shared my bed." In their world of wolves and canine thought patterns, this was not such a big deal, but he was sure the way he phrased it would raise a blush on his lover's cheeks. "However, we have shared more than that. I have given this woman my heart, and have done so freely. I would appreciate the rumors and the slander to end; I will put an end to them with force if I must. My sister is a muck-raker and would have you believed I am bewitched. It is not the case. Let me say this one more time: I am freely with Zalia and will continue to be so until she or I say otherwise. The topic is no longer up for discussion."
Rafe stood behind his son and the left, his mouth set in a hard line as the admissions left Bade's mouth. It was true that he did not wholly accept this joining, but he could not in totally good conscious break it up either if his son was happy. The old ways of the Pack seemed to be dying out with each new generation.

Zalia reluctantly let go of Bade's hand when he was hugged by his father. She looked around cautiously, ready to grab back on to her love if others tried to advance and take her away. She watched Bade and his father for a few moments, relieved. His father didn't seem angry with him, at least.
Zalia stood and listened, her cheeks turning red though at the first words that left his mouth. She shifted slightly, uncomfortably, and wanted nothing more than to go over to his side and hide in his arms. But he had an important task at the moment. She stayed still and silent, though a smile crept upon her lips when he spoke of how his heart was hers.
Zalia cautiously approached Bade and simply stood beside him, taking his hand in hers and smiling at him reassuringly. She too, was reassured. She had no doubt of his feelings at all.

When Bade was done with his speech he was met with silence. Soon after however, the hum of murmuring resumed amongst his listeners. It was hard to tell how his words would be received, the crowd's words were lost among them. Bade's stance was unrelenting and he was ready to accept the full brunt of the backlash from his words.
However, one of the werewolf who was present the other day in the forest separated from the crowd. He walked up to Bade, shoulders stiff, expression unreadable. He nodded to the Alpha's son and stepped around him. Bade twitched in his direction ready to thwart him if he meant Zalia harm. The were simply extended his hand.
"I'm Trevor, it's nice to see you again." He smiled and awaited a response.

Zalia waited as the others talked. She didn't want to force Bade to leave his family, but if they would not accept the couple then she knew that was what they needed to do. When the one of the wolves came to her she tensed up, a bit scared. When he simply introduced himself, she sighed in relief and smiled. She took his hand gently and shook it. "I'm Zalia. It's nice to formally meet you, Trevor." True gratitude shown in her eyes. "Thank you." she said quietly. It probably took a lot of guts for him to do what he did.
Zalia looked at Bade and smiled happy. Her expression was obvious. It said; 'Look! I made a friend!' The girl could be read like a book at times, but mostly when she was happy.

Bade returned her smile and seemed about to say something with he was interrupted by the line of Pack members coming to greet his girl friend. He stepped behind her so as to be able to watch her while everyone approached. He was delighted to see the majority of the Pack had accepted her, either willingly or begrudgingly. There were still some who would object, but they would have to adhere to the majority vote. Bade could see a parting in the crowd. The hole was moving rapidly up to him and he tensed, his hands on Zalia's shoulders.
Eve broke the line of welcomers, actually slapping one young Were's hand away from the Dhampir. Her expression was livid.
"This! It's unacceptable!" She fumed in Zalia's face and turned to address her peers. "How can you accept a monstrosity into ourpack? Think about our future! If Bade succeeds in the next Alpha Trials, he will be expected to breed for the Pack. How is he to do that with a human? Or a Vampire? It's impossible!"

Zalia introduced herself to all who wanted to come meet her, but her happy smile vanished when Eve came. She moved back just a little, closer against Bade. After a moment though she gently nudged aside Eve and took the young Were's hand carefully. "Are you okay?" she asked quietly. She smiled at the Were. "I'm Zalia. What's your name?"
She glanced at Even at last and spoke dryly. "I don't think it's much of an 'if', Eve. You're acting like a lunatic, and I don't think one so easily enraged is fit to be Pack leader." Her voice was calm and collected, and after her words she turned her attention back to the young Were.

"And an outsider should not be welcomed if one is expected to breed. You cannot produce a were child no matter how hard you try. Wouldn't your little heart just be broken if you bore child after child for your man who lacked the skill to change with the moon? He wouldn't tell you he was disappointed, but in your heart you would know how much he resented you for your genes." She stood straight backed and relentless. She had achieved her goal of re-raising the doubt in the Pack, people were seeing her point and agreeing. Were children cannot be conceived if both of the parents were not born with the genes.
Zalia's calm waivered. She felt a pang in her heart at the woman's words. She looked at Bade, waiting for him to deny Eve's words. But surely even he realized this now. She bit her lip. "I did not ask for this. It was how I was born, and it is how I am. It is who I am. It is not something I can change. Bade loves me despite this part of me. Human and vampire. If I cannot be accepted for who I am, it raises the question of how those who will not accept me can accept anyone at all."
Her eyes went back to Bade. Eve's words stuck like thorns in her heart. Would he really resent her for being unable to give him a Were child? She knew he was above that, but...she still felt that it could be possible. She needed his reassurance.
