Although he did not approve of Gaunt's action regarding the Shaman, there was no anger in his tone."Clan grows weak without Foul Fury." He muttered as he put one last crystal in his bag."Soon when Sylass has proven his worth to the world, Sylass will return to clan and make it strong again. Odd human mark my words." He said, still not knowing Gaunt's name.

"I'll bear them in mind." he smiled. "So where does your quest take you to next?" He asked Sylass

"Reinstaten." Sylass answered."Sylass need to sell crystals at high price so Sylass can buy new weapons and tools. Old gear is too worn out for use." He explained as he weighted his bag of crystals."Miner's guild was good for finding crystals, but not for sell. Will dot his through contacts. Pathetic races do not trust Sylass. So Sylass would sell badly."

Soon the expedition would be done with no further harm being inflicted to the scavengers and treasure hunters. Both would get brought back to the village to have a proper burial.

"Very well, Sylass of clan Blackscale. If you don't mind, I'd like to accompany you on your journey. I'm looking for mages who left the mages tower back in Ordania... maybe one of them came to the academy in Reinstaten to study. I was only here for this," He took a crystal out of his pocket, showing it to Sylass. The crystal wasn't too big, but it was eradiating a soft glow of multiple colours.
"Now that I found it, I'm done here, but there's no use in leaving this group alone. Skilled as you may be, if another group of those creatures attack, there won't be many people left to call this an aspedition any longer."

Sylass nodded. Having a human so powerful around might be helpful, he figured. Though he hated to admit that."Sylass accepts proposition. As long as odd man does not slow Sylass down." He said with a proud grin."If we are to travel togheter, Odd man is worthy of telling his name." The Lizard said as he hauled a corpse on his back.

Soon the group headed back through the swamp to Muckdale, where the anxious families of the scavengers and treasure hunters would await their significant other to return with valuables. But what they mostly found were dead members of their society. They were mourned badly.

As they finished wrapping up in the village, the mage rejoined Sylass.
"My name is Gaunt. I'm an advanced conjurer, though I'm sure you allready noticed. I know some of the basic arts in other forms of magic as well though - mostly meant to disguise myself when needed. What are your abilities?"

Sylass grinned."Sylass smash enemies until they are blood and broken bones. No fancy magic. Just bodily skills." The proud lizard said as he flung his tail around his own feet."If Gaunt asks for Sylass' techniques, Sylass just smash weak spots and cut painful areas. Sylass also uses tail for surprise effect." He explained."Good thing Gaunt is on Sylass' good side. He would not last a second against him."

"If that is true, then ashkan's admiration was rightly placed. And even though you may be the strongest in close combat, you wouldn't last long against my summonnings - if only because you don't know them.
However, your prowess in close combat and my expertise in conjuration should make us quite the team." Gaunt smiled.

Sylass let his tongue slid through his razor sharp teeth for a moment. It was much like a lizard's tongue, only forked."Gaunt recognize Sylass' greatness, undoubtedly. Us will be good partners. But sun is setting, and Reinstaten is far from here. Does Gaunt have a room in the local inn?"

Gaunt nodded. "I do"

"Good. Sylass does not share his room for no fee." He grinned as he headed towards the inn.

The inn was filled with people today, though the mood was not cheery. Though they made a good deal of money today, many people died. The celebrations would soon follow, but today was a day of mourning. Sylass realized this and found this to be a weakness he would gladly spit on. Those that die are simply not strong enough, and should only be mourned momentarily and alone, not in a group. The Lizard ordered some honeyed mead for a drink and raised it to the sky."For glory." He said as he took a large gulp.

Gaunt raised his flagon as well. "For glory, and for those who have given their lives protecting others'!"

Several people in the tavern raised their flagons as well, and soon the place was full of wild talks and laughter again - with treasure hunters telling wild stories about what had occured inside those caves. Most of them being about Gaunt and Sylass. after all, both had drawn a significant amount of attention to themselves - Sylass by engaging Crystal creatures while all seemed lost, and Gaunt by summoning no less as three granite golems and making them attack in different ways. Gaunt smiled, it felt good to be treated well for once. Lizards aren't the only one looked upon strangely - Mages are often distrusted just as much.

After a bit of drinking, Sylass went to bed early, claiming that a good warrior is a rested warrior. Soon after night fell Sylass was well asleep on his comfy hay bed.

The next morning Sylass was up and ready, enjoying a breakfast of a pile of roasted turkey wings with some potatoes on the side. Lizardfolk were a hungry species. Sylass could eat two birds as one meal if he felt like it.

Gaunt joined him soon after Sylass started his breakfast.
"hello there" he said, as he sat down and ordered another portion of the same Sylass was eating.
"what way is the best to take from here? I'm afraid I'm unfamiliar with this region."

The Lizard devoured the seasoned wing with bone and all, licking the marrow off of his lips as he wiped his hands on a nearby chair padding, leaving stripes of grease on the seat. He opened his rucksack to take out an old worn map showing all kinds of markings."Best way is main road. Lots of traffic, so no bandit attacks. Would welcome bandit attack, but no time. There is flying ship tower not far from Farmer Forum. We take flying ship to Reinstaten." He explained, using his claw to show Gaunt the way they'd go.

Gaunt frowned
"a flying ship? I've never seen one of those before."

"Yes, flying ship. Zeppelin, Humans call it. It is part of dawn of Technology. Iron, electricity, gunpowder and steam are creating machines. One of them is flying ship. Easy for quick traveling." He explained, feeling smarter than a magic user for once."Technology or no, Sylass still beats new ways with old." He chuckled as he took a wing from Gaunt's plate."Gaunt was not able to finish wings, correct?"

gaunt chuckled. "go right ahead" then he fell in thoughts again. these machines could cause serious distress or anger among people... he wondered how tempers were going to be in reinstaten.

Sylass finished his plate and left it clean as if it hadn't been used."Very well. Sylass wish to leave now before Miner's Guild. That way prices of crystals are higher without loss of sale." He explained as he walked to the door. Outside A steed was waiting, a brown scaled Drake. Certain Lizardfolk clans were able to train certain drakes and use them for all kinds of purposes, such as farming or as warbeasts. Sylass used the Drake he received from his tribe's Beastmaster, Ashen, as his personal steed."Kalinka good girl. Did not eat other villagers."

Gaunt weaved a simple spell and summoned Whitewind, his usual steed. He spent a lot of time studying to find the right combination of aspects needed for his horse to be as fast as possible. He patted his steed's head and mounted.
"After you." he said.
