The rest of the zeppelin ride went smoothy enough. Sylass had "found" a bow and arrows, belonging to a local hunter who survived the onslaught of Skinless. Gaunt got thank thoroughly by the villagers, but Sylass was left be. It didn't matter he helped save them, they still found him to be a monster. Sylass was angered, though he acted like he didn't care. If a villager got too close he or she would get scratched.
Soon, the zeppelin reached Reinstaten, which was an underground fortress. This place had alot of history. It started as a mining facility, but grew out to become a full community. The only thing above ground were high steel walls and a Zeppelin Tower. Though as the group looked at the structure, they could see soldiers on the walls. They were under attack...

Gaunt cursed. "Does it ever stop? How many are there?"
"Too many." Sylass replied as he saw the arrows fly over the empty planes. it looked like an ant army attacking a castle from up here. Some of these Skinless were true giants even. The captain took a look together with the scared villagers. Everyone thought they'd be safe now, but even in this fortress they were under attack."What is going o-AAAAAAAAGH!" Out of nowhere bone shards were fired, three of them hitting the captain straight in the chest. The force made the captain fall flat on his back as he tried to pull the things out desperately. These things had ranged attacks as well!!
Sylass pulled out his newly acquired bow and arrow, but he was not great at shooting it. Lizardfolk prefer to use a blowgun, a long pipe through which they blow a dart. The ranged creature shot once more, shooting the bone shards straight into the balloon. Almost instantly the holes became bigger and all the air seeped out rapidly."Hang on, everyone! I'll try to land behind the walls!" The pilot yelled as the vessel went downwards. Sylass held on to the ropes which hung across the ship, crawling upwards to protect himself from the impact.
The pilot failed at bringing the people to safety. The vessel crashed right outside the walls, and far from the gates too. The crash cost many villager's lives, including that of old man Onvol. Sylass had landed badly, and was flung right into the grasslands. His steed had survived too, roaring desperately for Sylass to stand up. It wouldn't be long before the Skinless were upon them.

As Gaunt recovered, he saw that this sutuation was desperate. Desperate needs require desperate measures, he mumbled.
"Sylass! Can you buy me some time? I've got a spell that can get us through, but it will take a while to prepare and cast!"
"Sylass! Can you buy me some time? I've got a spell that can get us through, but it will take a while to prepare and cast!"
Sylass got to his feet, with help from Kalinka, who showed no signs of pain, instead, she showed fear. In the distance Sylass too could see the horde of Skinless racing for them. Knowing they could also attack as rangers made things more dangerous. The Skinless were as diverse as they were many. Sylass spat on the floor as he mounted his Drake."Sylass think Gaunt needs work on ideas. Even great Sylass has limits. We run for gates and hope villagers follow." He tapped Kalinka's head as he explained."You either join, or die." He said as he ran off for the gigantic gates. The few surviving villagers did the same, getting cover from the soldiers on the walls.
"Damnit!" He thought for a moment. This is going to cost me a lot of energy... He cursed. "Whatever, we don't have anything to lose. He summoned a small flying manta and mounted it, soaring up high into the sky, out of the skinless arrow's reach. He then started forming a large patern into the sky. As it grew, Gaunt's energy lessened. I can do this... He kept moving his arms to finish the patern, his fingers twisting and turning as if in a blur. The Symbol in the air kept growing untill it was 25 meters wide, then Gaunt started on the details.
When Gaunt finished, He quickly uttered a few words of power. "Urzag no'argo vishnakk!" The sky symbol started glowing a purple light, and it widened, forming a portal. Silence fell onto the battlefield for several seconds, then it happened.
A huge Obsidian Dragon soared through the portal, unfolding its wings and hovering in the sky. It consisted of several large and a couple of smaller obsidian chunks, connected by Flashes of Magical energy.
For a moment, Gaunt grinned as he thought of what the defender's faces would look like, seeing this dragon. He sat down on his Manta's back and closed his eyes, moving part of his spirit into the Dragon.
"Let's finish this." The dragon roared loudly and swooped downward quickly, flying low and using his sheer weight to smash Skinless to pieces, clearing a way for the refugees to run to the walls before he ascended again.
"Move it!" he yelled at Sylass and the others.

The dragon's landing was a success! Many of the Skinless were taken down, but it wouldn't be long until more Skinless would be upon the creature. Skinless were in their nature still humans. Humans capable of spell craft, and that was exactly what they were doing. A few of the larger Skinless gathered in a circle and were... chanting?
Whatever was going on, this gave the group time to move to the gate, though they all looked in awe at what Gaunt was able to summon. Even Sylass was impressed, as well as the guards. They'd recognize his face now, that's for sure.
As the small group of survivors made it to the gates, the captain refused to open."No! You'll cause all these monstrosities to enter Reinstaten! I'm sorry, we cannot help you!" The guards looked shocked."But sir." "NO!" The captain yelled."We can't take the risk, even with that dragon helping!"
The villagers were crying, as they felt helpless, and even Stasi felt helpless."Black skinned elf hold off beasts. Sylass solve this." He said angrily as he crawled up the wall like a true lizard. Hopefully Gaunt was strong enough to help the Drow protect the villagers. The Lizard was aiming on opening the gates himself."The guards could easily shoot Sylass, but they decided not to. After all, it wouldn't be against the captain's orders if a commoner opened the gates.

Gaunt, looking through his dragon's eyes, saw what transpired at the gate. When he saw Sylass scale the wall, he couldn't help but grin.
The dragon roared and swooped down again, smashing the Skinless' frontlines to pieces and giving the villagers space to defend themselves. He opened his maw and a large jolt of magical energy shot out, crashing into several chanter circles among the skinless.
We can do this!

Stasi in a rage blasted back the smaller Skinless that tried to grab a few wounded villagers, though she couldn't save them all. Some got taken to everyone's regret.
Sylass in the meantime was up there, the guards acting like he's invisible. When he got to the gatehouse, it took but a moment for him to figure out how to open the gates. He had to yank the handlebar and the thing would open up. But the captain saw him."Intruder alert, kill him!" He yelled as he ran for him. Most of the guards ignored the captain, but two loyalists drew their swords.
Sylass grinned."Foolish guards, not guarding people who need them, but fighting lone Lizard." He didn't even grab his weapons. As one came close he grabbed him by his pulse, twisted it and chopped in his neck with his claw. The other one he threw the knocked out guard's sword at. Confused, the man grabbed it with his free hand, which gave Sylass the time to hit him in the throat. Now the captain.
He had to dodge the captain's relentless attacks but in the end Sylass got the better of him by biting him in the throat. it didn't kill him, but the fear of being eaten alive was enough to make him pass out. Like nothing happened Sylass returned to pulling the heavy lever.
Slowly the gates opened, and soon enough the villagers ran through for their lives, praising whatever gods they believed in, but not Sylass.

As Gaunt felt his powers fading quickly, he noticed the villagers getting in safely and the gate closing behind them. he sighed.
"We did it..."
The dragon suddenly exploded with a bang, shards of obsidian flying into the skinless army, killing many of them. His vision was blurring, and with a last effort, he brought himself to safety on his manta. He landed on the wall and immediately dropped through his knees to the ground, unconscious.

As the people reunited at the plaza, they completely ignored Sylass, even Stasi didn't feel fit to thank him for saving their lives. The angered lizard hissed softly as he went to check on Gaunt, who'm the guards were carrying the unconscious hero of the day down the wall."Gaunt strong. Stronger than Sylass." He spoke softly as he grabbed a nearby jug of water over the man's face, hopefully waking him up.
Gaunt did wake up for just a second, thanks to the water being splashed in his face. However the effect the water had on him didn't keep him up for long, and he immediately dropped back into a deep sleep.
When Gaunt would finally wake up, he'd find himself in a bed in a rather dark room with a plump dwarven nurse next to him, putting a wet towel onto his head. The woman seemed elderly with her white hair, but also very gentle as she throws him a friendly smile and started speaking in her dwarven accent."Oh, good. Yer awake. Don't get up, you've strained yer body too much, son. You're safe now, far away from the beasts outside."
Gaunt would find himself in the Iron Infirmary in the Iron district of Reinstaten. Outside the iron door Gaunt could hear the soft moans of others who had found themselves in need of medical attention."Would you like something to eat, son? A Lizard came by with some bread and a live chicken earlier, said it was for you. We won't feed you the poor bird." She giggled softly."But if yer feeling up for it we've kept the bread."

"That sounds great. thanks ma'am." Gaunt got up to sit straight against the back of his bed and accepted the food.
The woman gave the man a plate and handed him his bread."Is it true that you summoned a dragon?" She asked, amazed. But before she could expect an answer she was called to the front of the infirmary."I'll be right back, hon."
There was a lot of shouting, until the words became more clear for Gaunt to understand."Sir, you can't go in there!" "Sylass not stupid. Gaunt tired, not infected." He barged in through the door."Gaunt have my chicken?" Was the first thing he wanted to know.

Wildner figured it was best to say yes. "Yeah Sylass, I had your chicken, it was delicious!" he looked knowingly at the hospital personel.
The Lizard spat at that."Ack! Sylass hungry. Wanted chicken too." He snarled."Fine. Gaunt needed chicken more. Gaunt feel good now? Should see how much Sylass sold!" He proudly presented the many gold coins he kept in a bag."Will buy new gear with gold. Shall get Gaunt new robes. Or staff. Or face."
"A new face won't be nessecary!" Gaunt grinned. "If you insist though, it'd be nice if you could find me a master robe tailor and bring him here. He'll know what to ask to find a matching robe."
Although the Lizard said he would find him, he gave up his search after five minutes and made way to the nearest meat stand.
Luckily for Gaunt, the friendly nurse dismissed him."You're good to go I'd say. If you still feel pain or trouble walking, tell the guards to bring you back here, hon." With that she left him be to focus on the soldiers who had suffered lethal wounds.

Gaunt thanked the nurse and gathered his stuff to head out. He still felt a little dizzy from the enormous energy usage, but he'd be fine. He Walked onto the city's main road, which was littered with stores and stalls, and many people of all standings walking from one to the other, chattering about everything and nothing. It really didn't take him long to find Sylass. Gaunt grinned and walked up over to him.
"How's the search for the tailor going?" he said with a smile.
