At twelve years old, the child had gone missing, and it was concluded that he had passed away. Not peacefully, however.
For the cause of his death were his friends. The same friends that had created themselves to fill in a protective void for the boy. The very culmination of his own being relied on those "friends".
His imaginary friends.
The friends that weren't real. The friends that only he could see. The friends that assured him everything was okay. The friends he thought he could trust.
Those were the monsters that took him, and killed him.
Salem Malachite is a ghost.
At twelve years old, the child had been taken away, and was brutally killed. He is now an unrested spirit, roaming through an empty wormhole better known as the existence of life and the horrids of death.
He is looking for a friend.
One faithful night, the young boy stumbles upon you, presumably looking for something.
Will you help him find what he is looking for, or stray away like all the others?

It's been a while since I've done a roleplay, and I'm looking to start something with little Salem here. ^^
This will be a 1x1 roleplay. Not sure if romance will fit in, seeing as the kid is only twelve, but if another child character is present, then that's potential. I'm mainly starting this for the sole purpose of developing Salem as a character, though I also had an idea for this roleplay, so that's that.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Modern
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, one-off scene.
