This is my first roleplay on this site, so forgive me if it's a little strange.

My idea follows a group of 'troubled' students who end up getting sent to a boarding school until they get their acts together. They each have their own troubles(you would decide for your own character), but become close while investigating the strange things happening behind the scenes at the school.

I know it's cliché, but I have a few more interesting ideas for the plot. Also welcome to my fellow newbies.

First off, the school isn't some old mansion. It's actually rather modern, built only ten years ago. My character, Luna , was sent to the school after she intended to call out an old man at her temple for being racist and ended up insulting the entire foundation of Hinduism(in the words of her priest). She has tried in the past to stop being so perpetually cynical, but has never managed it.

The school is set up in a college-style, with separate dorms/mess hall/classrooms. There are a total of about two hundred students, from all around the country, and some even the world. The school is known for its 'modern ideals', so it's not some terrifying prison school like the stereotypes. It's actually a bit hipster. Students are allowed to wear their own clothes, and use computers freely in the library, whenever they don't classes. They also do strange and ultimately pointless exercises such as trust falls and hikes and other outdoorsy-things.

The role-play follows a group of friends that notice strange things about the staff: how they all seem to have the same personality and know almost all the same information, be they a matron or a teacher of a janitor.

I don't have any basis on which direction I want this story to go, so whoever joins can help guide the story along. Thanks for reading!

Thanks, that'll be great. I looked at Maddie's profile and she seems perfect(and a little scary) so this should be fun! I'll start with my characters beginning , and then you(and others who hopefully read this ) can continue it.

Luna was bored. She was laying on the grass in the center of campus, looking up at the sky. It was rec time, meaning no one was allowed to be inside. The staff probably intended for people to run around and play sports and 'build character' but the majority of people lay around doing nothing. Luna might have played a sport, if there was anything to play. The weather was fairly nice. Luna pulled a thread off her shirt and twisted it around her fingers. What was even the point of this school.
