A deadly virus causing an illness known as Grief Syndrome (Named after the grief it caused due to it's quick transmission and large chance of death) has wiped out almost all the population. Only a few handfuls of survivors remain. The world remains the way it was, frozen in time almost, save for the corpses of the infected littering homes and buildings. The viruses infecting the population have been almost completely wiped out due to people dying, and no longer serving as a home for the viruses. The survivors now fend for themselves mostly. Things are tough, since running water is now a rarity and animal control is non-existent. Can this world be saved? Or will everyone just die?

Basically this is an idea for an RP I got when I was playing a game on my tablet. A virus killed almost everyone on Earth, and now the survivors have to, y'know, survive. As with virtually every RP I make, magic/powers are fine (And tbh characters with any sort of healing abilities would likely survive the virus), just don't make them OP and try not to let your character be able to magically bring everyone back to life or something.

Also, is this almost like a zombie apocalypse kind of thing? Will we be fighting infected creatures in addition to surviving?

It would be on this site and there wouldn't be much fighting zombies or anything. It's mostly about surviving in a world where almost everyone is dead. Though, there may be instances where the characters might have to fight someone who's sick with the virus.
