I recently created a couple new characters (Claude and Arisu Ticker) and wish to get an rp going with them. It can be either short term or long term, depends on how things go.
The setting will be in a Steampunk era (I am unfamiliar with the setting, but I want to expand my horizons) city where technology and magic work in harmony, though magic is uncommon. The genre of the rp will be slice of life, but feel free to add more if you want more from it, cause I understand pure SoL can be a bit of a drag at times.
Zeppelins/Airships are the only form of long distance air travel, trains are ever popular and motor vehicles are damn expensive. Bicycles are also popular
Guns are mostly flintlock, but there are some clockwork firearms available (tech + magic = more pewpew). Most criminals rely on stabbing weapons to get their dirty work done.
Crime rates are alarmingly high in the city.
Steam and clockwork powered robots are common place in the city, though none of them can speak nor have actual life like Arisu.
Characters may be any species you desire, but humanoid is greatly preferred and should be able to fit the setting. Magic is of course allowed, but it is not common, so if your character does have magic abilities, expect them to be hounded by people wanting to make use of it if they catch wind that they have it. Goes without saying that it should also be kept within reason
As for why/how your character meet these two, we will likely have to think of something. One idea is that your character has come to Claude's shop to get something repaired/browse his wares and Arisu comes out unknowingly and begins to speak to Claude, or maybe your character is homeless and Claude ends up offering you a place to stay after your character manipulates Arisu into persuading Claude into allowing your character to live with him.
As for Claude's living conditions in this rp, he with on the lower end of the spectrum, even though he is renowned for his clockwork expertise, the Steam age has caused a massive drop in business for him. He lives in his shop, which is a three floor building that is a part of a complex of four other buildings. It has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. It has running water and electricity. The first floor is the shop, second is the kitchen/dining, bathroom and living areas and the third floor is the two bedrooms.
I'm looking for 1on1 rps, but you can bring in as many character as you desire. NPCs/background characters can be made up as we go along. I will take on more than 1 rp if more than 1 person wants to rp this, but no more then 3.

Edit: Though I am not partial to romance, there is a possibility of it if it turns out that way. Even with Arisu if you so wish. Who says a robot can't learn to love?

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
