He could find some relief in that, and just for that he was inclined to believe him."Alright, future man. I'll believe you. But Claudia's right. You've still got a chance of seeing your family. Most of us don't. Let me ask you something. Why did you have to travel through time in the first place? And is it possible to take some of us with you when the thing is recharged?"

"I did it because i was the best. I'm the test subject for the cronochlonia. Things went wrong though, and I can't go back to my era the usual way. Thus I'm looking for a rapture in time so I could go back.
As to your second question, I can take one person when it's charged. I can take more if I Overcharge it, but then it will take at least twice as long before I can use it again."

Claudia sat on the door step watching the sun go down. Her cigarette half gone and filling the air around her with the scent of tobacco as well as the smell of rotting flesh that already lingered in the air. The sound of groans drew nearer still as she sat there. Watching for anything in the darkness that may move. One thing she learned was to always be ready to go. Always be ready to get on the move if something happened. And to never leave your things behind, especially if your chances of getting back to that area were slim. Once finished, she stood and flicked the cigarette into the deserted street. Turning on her heal to head back into the house. She could hear the two men talking loudly as she entered, being sure to no interject near the ending of the discussion.

She was rather grateful that she was taken in. The reality of being alone and not knowing who else was alive was sickening. The news of a man from the future gave her hope for the human race, yet self doubt that she would ever make it back to a air conditioned, iced drink lifestyle. With other breathing, heart pounding, soul grabbing people in her wake. Claudia closed the door behind her and moved back to the seat she took when she first arrived. "I dont mean to change the subject... But the sound of the dead seems to be growing a bit louder." She stated, leaning her head against her hand, propped up by her elbow on the arm rest.

Liam looked up from the argument that currently had his attention when the girl walked in. The dead were getting louder? Did she mean, that they were getting closer? Pulling out his nearly gone piece of coal, he wrote on the wall.

"What do you mean?"

"Sorry. Sorry." She began. "They are getting louder out there so I think they may be getting closer to us." Claudia responded back to Liam.

Wildner sighed. "If only we could get a decent night's rest... Why are they coming though? We aren't making enough noise to attract them over such a distance."

"Could be anything." Claudia shrugged. "I would be quiet for days and it would seem that my own breathing would attract them." She looked out the window through the curtains. "Could be whatever else is living out there, making noise."

Wildner shot up straight. "The Red Eagles!"

"Impossible! How could they possibly know where we are? We left no traces behind! Our hiding place was burned down and overrun with zombies!" He quickly walked over to the window."No. I told you, some zombies have a sense of smell. I think some loud ones smell flesh and are lured here by it." He theorized. He refused to believe the Red Eagles have found them so quickly.

"Could be the red eagles saw our lights. They don't have to nessecarily be aware it's us."

"Okay, will someone please explain to me what these Red Eagles are?" She looked at them completely clueless on who or what they were talking about. "Besides, even if you left a catastrophe in their wake... We could be just a different group trying to survive the hoards." She shook her head.

"The Red Eagles are a gang. They've been prominent here, even before all this zombie stuff." Fin told the older girl. Her eyes once again getting a bit dark at the subject in question

"I'll get on the roof and provide overwatch. I'll let you know once I see anything. You guys just stay inside the house, figure out ways to defend it or whatever, just keep it quiet, okay?"

Rodrik kept his weapon close as he sat down near the window."Can't these guys give us a night's rest?! I've been without sleep for two days!" He breathed heavily as he remained put.

Liam took up watch near the back door, peering out into the night, to see if anything was coming in that way. He too was beginning to feel the effects of the sleepless night, He wondered how long they could keep this up, before exhaustion made them do something stupid, that would end in their inevitable demise.

Wildner hadn't showed it, but he too was getting exhausted. If it's the red eagles, it has to just be coincidence. If it's anything else, it won't be a threat... Maybe we should just let it pass and get a good night's rest... He yawned and looked through his scope, but couldn't see anything just yet.

Claudia was physically exhausted. "I know something is coming out there.... but what if we just turned out the lights, close the blinds and sleep then maybe we would feel better tomorrow." She felt bad for saying anything in the first place, but she wasnt ready to get herself or these people killed if they werent aware of what was going on outside the home.

Rodrik was fighting his sleep. He didn't trust this at all. Even if these were zombies lured by their smell, it'd mean trouble. He was still convinced that this could impossibly be the Red Eagles, though if it were, his first suspect would be Claudia, thinking she was some sort of spy trying to snatch whatever supplies survivors have left."Perhaps." He said in a yawn."That might be our best bet yet."

Wildner came back downstairs. "I can't concentrate like this, we need to sleep."

Claudia nodded in agreement and curled up into a ball on the couch, her head resting against her arm as she watched the others. Her backpack was tucked between her legs, holding onto the handle with her free hand. Her head started to droop down towards her chest as exhaustion took over.
