"Who's taking first watch?"
Fin shrugged. She supposed she could, and said so to everyone. She'd gotten at least a little sleep the night before, unlike everyone else. She wasn't likely to shoot anyone, or anything, but she could easily wake someone up if anything came around.
"allright Fin, but make sure to wake us when needed, got it?" With those words, he rolled out his sleeping bag and layed himself down next to the window where he'd positioned his rifle, falling asleep almost instantly.
Grateful for Fin's contribution, Rodrik took the couch for his bed. It didn't take long or he was asleep. For such a large man, it was odd to see him sleep so soundlessly. Though he was deeply asleep. It would take more than just a yell for him to get up.
Liam too took some time to rest, evicting a dead zombie from one of the rooms close by, and stealing up a bed for himself. He was beyond tired, and thankful for any sleep he could get. He hoped it would be an uneventful evening.
Fin sat by the window, staring off into the dark, waiting vigilantly for any sign on the undead, or of gang members too.
It took about five hours, near midnight before Rodrik woke up, needing to take a leak in the bathroom. Once he did his business he walked over to Finlay."Hey, Fin. Go get some shut eye. I'll take watch from you." He said after he yawned softly."You need some sleep too."
Fin nodded, and slowly got up from her vantage point by the window. Her muscles were tired from the long day, and the burn on her ankle hurt something fierce. She yawned heavily. "Thanks. I could use some sleep."
She made her way over to the couch he'd vacated moments earlier, and fell asleep fairly quickly. This night there were nightmares. Of Zombies, and killing and gang members, and all the other monsters her life had forced her to encounter.

Wildner woke up a few hours later. He'd caught up on is sleep, so he got up. He nodded at Rodrik, who had seemed to relieved Finlay of her guard. He checked on the others. All seemed to be allright, execept for Fin. She was thrashing around in her couch.
Wildner quickly walked over to her and sat down next to her. he shook her gently. "Fin? Fin, wake up."

Finlay launched away flinging her hands up to protect her, likely socking Wildner in the face. "Get away!! Get..." She trailed off, and took a few long breathes, looking around, remembering where she was, and who she was with.
Wildner ignored Finlay's heavy reaction. "It's just me, don't worry. Are you allright?"
Finlay rubbed her eyes and looked at her lap. "I'm fine" She said shortly. She'd already shown so much weakness to these people. She needed to be strong like they were, even though she was little more then a kid. She needed them to think of her as part of the team, not some kid who was holding them back.
Wildner smiled. "Allright then, but you come talk to me when something's wrong, okay?"
Claudia stirred in her sleep. She dreamt of sweet things from her past. The joy of a real job with a paycheck, her home with her love and random things like going to Starbucks and going to the movies as well as bars with friends. She talked softly in her sleep, playing the memories in her head as if they were actually happening. This was the first time she slept and actually felt safe. The first time she was really able to 'sleep.'
The night progressed silently as Rodrik never shot a zombie. Instead when one came near he used his own personal baseball bat to squash their skulls in. He'd do quite well in a league baseball team.
Soon it'd be morning, and Rodrik would still be up, fighting his sleep. He had lost track of time and wasn't going to wake anyone up soon. They needed their sleep. Besides, next night he might just be able to get an arrangement that he wouldn't have to take watch.

Fin had gone back to sleep eventually, but woke up fairly early, having been consumed by her nightmares once more. She was pathetic. Giving up on sleep for the time being, she simply sat up and looked over at her companions, who were mostly all still asleep.
Wildner, who'd gone back to sleep as well, woke up around 9 in the morning. He saw Rodrik still sitting at the window, and deciding he didn't need any more sleep, joined him. "Did anything of note happen?"
Claudia slowly woke to the sound of voices. At first she thought it were a dream and she were still alone hiding somewhere to get some rest. When her blurred vision of sleep finally cleared and she saw the people around her she gave a deep sigh of relief. The question was asked of what had happened but no answer was yet given. She looked around the room and watched the people wake up and start functioning again.
Liam would venture out of the room he'd procured, when he heard the voices in the main room. He would give a nod to all except Fin, who wouldn't look at him.
Rodrik shook his head."Nothing, really." He yawned."Just a few Sniffers getting a bit too close." Sniffers being the zombies who could still smell. They must be the undead that had a fate worse than death, if they could still smell their own rotten body."What's the plan for today?"
