Wildner jumped off the car and walked over to the store, simply shooting the zombie through the head. The silencer was still attached to it, so the zombie dropped without a sound. He looked at Rodrik and smiled. "Mine generates its bullets in the chamber."
Claudia smiled at the little girl and held out her hands to take the girls. "Okay so I'm going to spray this on your hands. Its going to burn but we have to reopen the wounds that are closing around the shards of glass." She showed her the spray bottled with the clear and fowl smelling liquid inside. Without hesitation, she sprayed Finleys hands, hearing the searing sound that came from the slices in her hands. When she was finished, her hands were dripping with blood and the liquid she sprayed. Immediately taking hold of the tweezers, Claudia began with the plucking of glass from her hands. Her hands tensed drastically with each pull.
Leaning over the table now, while holding Finleys left hand and arm down with great force to keep her still, she got down into the flesh, pulling out the broken slivers and prying out the deep and long pieces that were wedged in the flesh. When she finally finished she began the needle and thread, quickly pulling it through the girls broken flesh and tying it off. "I'm so sorry. This may hurt worse." She kept apologizing, over and over to her. No form of making her hands go numb during this procedure. When she finished, she medicated and bandaged her left hand with the gauze and the wrap. Her hands would be unusable for the next couple of days while the healing process took affect.
About 45 minutes passed by and Claudia was finally done with Fin's other hand. She smiled and told her of this and what she would need to do to keep the infection out. "This HAS to stay clean. You could die from blood poisoning, complications with the healing. You could also lose your hands if you're not careful." She put everything back into her bag to join the others.

Rodrik raises a brow."Quite the tool. I don't suppose you've got more? Don't matter, back me up, chap." He cringed on how British he sounded. He tried to hide it this entire time.
The redhead stepped through the opened window, aiming through his M4. Whenever he encountered a corpse he'd smash the blunt end of the rifle into its face to make sure it was actually dead. The store was dark, but it was safe enough."All clear. Let's see what we can find here that hasn't been charred already."

Liam followed them into the little gas station store, and immediately went, to looking for supplies of any sort, not just something to write with.
Claudia followed Rodrick into the shop and sifted through what was on the floor. She moved many pieces of the roofing that was burned to a char and collapsed from damage. So far nothing was salvageable, everything burned and destroyed.
Rodrik looked through the rubble. It looked like there wasn't anything truly salvageable. At least nothing that was useful, although he did manage to find a black marker."Hey, Liam. You think this is useful?" He asked as he threw it at him. Paper wasn't something Rodrik could find, neither anything else that could be of use to write on.
Liam cheered silently when he market was found. He didn't need paper, he would write on whatever he had to. He was resourceful like that.
Claudia helped the two men go through what was left of the charred building. "Hey look what I found!" She picked up what looked like half of a white board. It was burned to almost nothing but still seemed useful. "This still has some space to write in Liam." She walked over to him and handed it to him after dusting it off. "It looks like it needs to be cleaned but atleast you can talk to us again." She smiled at him and continued on her way back through the building towards the cash register and storage space. "Anybody smoke? I found some Cigarettes in here that still seem to be held together." She picked up 3 packs and stuffed them in her back pocket while looking for more.
"I can use one."
Claudia sifted through more of the rubble while she waited for a response among the group. Hearing Kenneth pipe in that he wanted one, she pulled the pack from her pants and tossed it to him. "I'm still looking for a lighter or a book of matches." She smiled thoughtfully at her findings.
Wildner reached in his pockets and pulled out a lighter. "Got it covered!" he winked, set the cigarette to his lips and lit it. He inhaled the smoke and blew it out again. "help yourself," he said, throwing the lighter over to Claudia.
Claudia snatched the lighter out of the air, putting it between her hands and bowing solemnly. "Thank you good sir!" She was grateful for this little piece of the past. Pulling out a cigarette and lighting it brought her back to the days before hell broke out. "It will be nice-" she took a drag, "tomorrow morning, when I can wake up and watch the sun rise with my smoke in hand." She savored the nicotine as it flowed into her lungs and caressed her bronchial tubes with its poison. "I'm just saying. It will be nice." She stated as the smoked left her lips.
Rodrik refused the offer."I quit back in jail. They were a lot more valuable as money." He explained as he looked at the broken down fridges."I'd give my kidney for a bottle of cold scotch though. I'd settle for a pint as well. As long as it scorches my throat."
He took a seat on what used to be the counter. Everyone seemed to be okay, and he had to admit he was anxious for tomorrow. They would need to find a place to stay first, a shack or something. Perhaps they could find some friendly farmers who'd take them in in trade for defending the place or something.

Of his many vices, smoking was not one of them, though Like Rodrick, he would have gone to great lengths to get some booze.
Finlay sat on the picnic table outside,, where her hands had been patched up, trying to muscle through the pain the stitching had caused. She didn't complain out loud, however, because that would have been weak.
Claudia laughed at his retort. "A nice cold glass of scotch would be nice. I would love a nice hot meal that doesnt come out of a preserved box... Or a hot shower.... Now THAT would be nice!" She took in another drag of the cigarette and laughed. "I think I'm beginning to smell pretty... manly." She stated, wrinkling her nose and looking up at them like a girl who got her hands dirty.
"I don't think we're going to find any of that in the farms. Perhaps we could boil some water and have a bath." Rodrik said, trying to keep her hopes realistic."We'll see what we can find. If possible, we'll sleep in a farm tonight."
Rodrik stepped out of the ruins of the former gas station and looked at Fin."How's your hands?" He asked as he walked closer towards her.

Fin looked over at Rodrick as he approached, she tried to offer him a small smile, but it was twisted with pain. "They uh... they hurt..I've had worse though." Which was sadly true. A lot worse.
(This post is being done from my phone hope it comes out alright. )
Claudia nodded, "a bath would suffice. Can't really complain about how you're getting clean as long as you do." She too followed after Rodrik, eager to speak to him and see how Fin was holding up.

Rodrik nodded at her answer."It'll heal eventually." He stepped into the vehicle and looked over to the distance."Alright, quick summary of the plan. We find a barn that looks sheltered enough. We check for any survivors or undead, and most importantly, we check for fertile ground. It might be we're starting a new life, and we'll need to grow our own food so we don't rely on scavenging. Everyone got that?"
