Finlay wasn't entirely sure what a time fracture was, but she hoped he would find one here. It was clear the man was upset. She wished she could do something to help.
"Anyway, what are we doing today?" Wildner smiled.
Liam came over to join them, keeping a respectful distance between himself and Finlay. He pulled out his charcoal, and wrote on the grimy wall. 'Supplies.' Under that he scribbled 'Food, clothing, ect.'
"Are there any in the building?"
Liam shook his head. They would have to go elsewhere to get those things. An old Walmart, six blocks away, would be the best bet for evrything that they needed. If it hadn't already been looted.
"Allright then, you'll have to lead the way."
Wildner stowed away as many bullets as he could, carrying a backpack heavier then he ever had. "You guys should stock up too. We might not come back here anymore." He told them. He slung his rifle over his shoulder and checked if the pistol was strapped tight. "I'm ready to move."

Liam went into the hatch. He picked up as much ammunition as his pockets could hold. Plus a large hunting knife. Fully stocked up, he went to wait by the door.
Fin hesitantly, also approached the hatch. She was in general, scared to use a weapon, but knew what they were about to do would be dangerous. Grabbing a couple of clips, and a very small semi automatic, she too was ready to leave.
"Allright. Liam, since you know your way around here, you're going first. Fin, stay in the middle and I will take rear guard. if we encounter zombies, do NOT engage! I want to try something first, okay?"
Fin nodded at took her place between the two men. Her small hand clutching the gun in her pocket, terrified of going back outside. Not that she would admit it.
Liam led the way, the walk there was uneventful, the streets eerily quiet. The large long abandoned Walmart lay before them now. The parking lot scattered with cars, here and there, almost all had been broken into. The doors to the large building were smashed as well. Liam smiled, it would be easy to get in. A zombie in a greeter's outfit roamed the parking lot.
"great, this is perfect. Listen, i want to test wether the zombies react to sound or eyesight, so I'm going to walk in his direction really quiet and see how he responds, 'kay?"
Liam nodded and hung back with Finlay. He was curious about this as well. Just in case, he pulled out his gun, ready to cover Wildner at a moments notice.
Wildner left his rifle and his backpack with the others and pulled his pistil out. He then silently walked towards the zombie, making sure not to step on anything or without letting his foot come down too hard. As he advanced on the zombie, it didn't move at all. So far so good, he thought.
Wildner moved closer until he stood one meter from the sickening humanoid and aimed his gun at his head, just in case. He could smell the decay of his rotting wounds and had to keep himself from getting sick.
The zombie turned around, and for a moment Wildner thought it would attack him, but as he side stepped the creature, it just kept walking. It can't see! To confirm his test, he stomped his foot on the ground as soon as the zombie was about 5 meters away from him. Almost immediately, the creature turned around and leapt up to Wildner, who quickly shot its head.
As the zombie fell to the ground, Wildner Sighed.
He ran back to his companions and retrieved his stuff.
"They can't see at all." He smiled at them. "When you see more, warn the others and stay quiet - we shouldn't engage unless we absolutely have to."

They were completely blind, good to know. It would be easier to evade them in the future. He handed the rifle back to Wildner, and lead the way to broken glass door. Behind the door was everything they would need to escape the city...there would also be zombies, almost definitely. Oh well, they'd just have to deal with whatever was thrown at them.
Wildner followed Liam into the store.
As he entered, he spotted a lot of zombies wandering about. Food, drinks and other rubble lay scattered out across the floor. There was no way they'd be able to stay quiet for long.

Fin could hear her heart thumping in her ears. The store was just crawling with Zombies, and with the immense litter, she was almost sure they couldn't avoid being heard. She stooped right by the doors, terrified of going any further.
Wildner looked at the girl. We can't enter like this... He thought for a while, untill he saw a crashed helicopter through the window in the parking lot behind the store. He smiled. Maybe we don't have to worry at all!
"Follow me, I've got an idea." He ran back out and around the building, towards the helicopter, making sure his footprints weren't loud enough for the zombies to hear.

Liam didn't know what the man was on to, but if it meant they didn't have to brave the Zombie throng, he was willing to help, he closely followed Wildner, as they headed around the building.
Fin followed the others hesitantly. Words couldn't describe how glad she was, about not having to go further into the store. She wasn't sure what Wildner planned to do, but she trusted him implicitly, for some reason, she was not so sure of.
