Liam was shoveling items up to Finlay, who was perched above him. It took four minutes to get everything up. By the time the two of them had climbed safely into the tree house above, the zombies had nearly been on them.
Wildner watched outside.
"Now keep quiet." he whispered. He aimed his gun outside if there was any sign of trouble and signalled the others to do the same thing. However, the zombies didn't seem to know where they were - they were just wandering about the parking lot.
Wildner sighed.
"Seems like we're in the clear for now."

Finlay let out a long sigh of relief. Shakily, she sat down, pressing her back against the far wall. Her whole, small body was thrumming with adrenalin. She sincerely hoped she would never have to get that close to so many of the undead again, though she knew it was very likely. She was proud to say that she had fared well under pressure, but now, when it was all over, she placed her head on her knees, and fought off the urge to swoon.
Wildner looked at Liam. "Keep guard." he just said. then he walked over to Fin and took her in his arms, hugging her closely.
"Are you allright?" he whispered in her ear.
"Are you allright?" he whispered in her ear.
Fin melted into his side, never having found comfort in another human's touch before, but finding she liked it. she felt...relieved. She nodded her head against her knees. She would be fine, she just needed a moment for all of the excitement to subside.
Liam kept watch by the window, his own heart going crazy in his chest. They'd done it, it was a friggin miracle.
"I'm here if you need me." He smiled at her.
"Good job, both of you. This isn't the best place to hide for a long time, so we need to find a secure place to store everything." he looked at Liam. "You know the city better than I do, any ideas?"

Fin interrupted before Liam could think of answering. "My house...er..old house is six blocks away. It's got locks and all that."
Wildner thought for a moment.
"Could work, but six blocks holds a certain risk at foot with all of these supplies. We'll be a target for both zombies and possible scavengers. We'd need to find something for that.

Liam grinned. He waved to get Wildner's attention, and wrote on the un-sanded wood floor. 'Cover me through the window' With that he moved to the rope ladder, the zombies were dispersed, if he was very quiet, he could do this without incident.
There were few things Liam was really good at, stealing cars was one of those things. With a parking lot scattered with abandoned cars, the possibilities were limitless.

"is he going nuts!?" Wildner ran to the window and readied his rifle. "He better know what he's doing..."
Liam dashed as quickly as he could towards a grey minivan, untouched by the explosion, and not close to any of the zombies around them. He tried the door handle, damn, locked.
Rather then wasting time by trying to pick it, or draw attention to himself by breaking the window, he moved on to the next car, Red toyota, locked, Black Dodge Ram, unlocked. Yes. Liam climbed in, not shutting the door, as the bang would definitely alert the undead around him, and he needed time to hot wire it.
It took him 3 minutes. The engine, roared to life. He slammed the door shut, and put the truck into gear. The others had better be ready to go, because the truck was already attracting attention. He slid the car forward, towards the tree house.

"Get down there Fin, time to go!" As liam arrived with the truck, Wildner quickly threw their supplies into the back and jumped in with them. Not wanting to waste rifle bullets at this distance, He drew out his pistol and began hitting zombie after zombie with a volley of bullets. Since the weapon didn't require reloading, he could just keep firing, buying the others as much time as they needed."
Fin made it into the cab of the truck without incident, and moved to the middle, leaving room for Wildner by the window.
as soon as they were all in the car, Wildner jumped out again. shooting his way through the squirming zombies, he got into the cab next to Fin. opening the window, he kept firing. "Move it! Fin, point him the way!"
Liam put the truck back in gear, and took off in the direction of Finlay's childhood home without direction. He'd been there many times in the last year of their lives. So degenerated by the drugs they were on, they were no longer able to make it to the motel to get their fix. Liam had been charged with the oh so important title of delivery boy.
Wildner sighed in relief as they left the zombies behind them. "Good job," he said to the both of them.
Finlay pointed to the tiny, run down house on the left hand side of the road, when they got there. The outside was overgrown, and it was obvious that the care of the house had not been much of a priority for her parents.
Inside the house was dark, minimalistic, but not unclean. It was a two bedroom house. . One bedroom consisted of a bed and wardrobe. It didn;t have much in the way of furnature, but looked comfortable enough. The other room had only a small futon on the floor, and a red stuffed elephant.

"allright, it's small, so we won't have much ground to defend. who takes which place?"
Liam wrote on the light pink wall, nearest the door. 'We'll rotate rooms, to account for taking turns on look out.'
