Hi there, I'm new to this site and I'm new to roleplay! Can you please give me some tips on character making?

Salutations! We're in the same boat here! I'm new to roleplay too, but the people on this site were way more than happy to help me out! A bunch of them will be posting on this page soon, so you'll see what I mean! Hope you have fun on RPR!

I would say to build your character from the ground up. Choose their appearance, and then use their backstory to shape their personality!

I'm super excited you chose to join us here and I really hope that you find yourself lots of fun and friendships! If you haven't already, I recommend checking out the Just Talkin' chat! There's usually people in there and it's great for finding people to get help from and bounce ideas off of!

Hmm, for character creating, I'd suggest focusing mostly on the aspects and personality. When joining an rp people tend to want a certain background from your character.

Here is a tip that can help everyone. Check out name generators for help with world building. I don't want to advertise sites, but check the one that mentions having a ton of specific surnames. One even has dark elf name generators, coat of arms creators... even armor creators, flag creators. Even city name, country name and names of all sorts of companies.

Sometimes that bit of independent name, or forming a system of names to build a setting, adds a more clear tone.. I mean, it'll sound less like your unique tone and more like an established world.
