Hello everyone! I'm Scarlet, or Cordyceps, and just happened to stumble in here. I technically joined a few months back but haven't had a chance to really explore or do anything until now. So far I really like what I see and enjoy the profile customization options for characters! The one downside is that there seems to be a character limit, which is kind of a bummer for someone like me who has 90+ characters...ahhha..

Anyway, I'm just another nerdy girl who really enjoys gaming (I have pretty much every system at this point, at least everything modern--no PC though, sorry master race that's a WIP), books, anime, misc tv shows, and school things. I just graduated undergrad with a degree in zoology and entomology and am now going back for a second degree in computer information systems (essentially an easier computer science degree coupled with business...I guess). c: If anyone wants to hmu on xbox/psn/nintendo (I have a 3DS, Wii U, and a Switch) let me know!

I just posted up a topic looking for 1x1 roleplays, so if you're into fantasy/sci-fi with a splash of drama/adventure/romance then I'm you're girl for that, too!

On a random note, what do the premium/epic accounts do here? Is there a way to get more character slots through means other than actually paying $15? xD If not it's not a deal-breaker, of course, it just means that I'll have to wait to bring over the rest of my characters until pay day.

Sorry, you have to pay money to bring more characters over. As far as I can tell Epicness means that you can customize your profile more.

As far as the Epic memberships go, they're actually pretty cool. It allows you a lot of customization options that aren't available to the regular memberships, both in your personal profile and your character profiles.

I just the other day got Epic for the first time in 6 years and I love it entirely.

As for other ways, you can always buy individual character slots. Unlike the Epic character slots, these will never disappear.
There's often raffles and the like where people will give away RPR Inventory Items, and so you can have a chance of winning slots or Epic as well.
Or you can do an art trade or something!

There's a few ways of getting around that if you're just dead set against spending the money ever, but I wholeheartedly encourage getting some of the items, if for no other reason than it gives back to RPR and helps keep the proverbial lights on. A very, very small price to pay in my opinion.

@JayBird - Ahh, thanks for such a great reply! That answered a lot of my questions and I really appreciate it. As far as giving back to RPR via those slots I'm definitely alright with it if I decide to stick around, which so far it looks like I will because this is the best site I've visited in what feels like ages. They're pretty cheap in comparison to other sites too (where I'm used to paying ~$5 per additional character slot). I'll probably end up doing a mix of art commissions and actually buying slots. I'm not sure I'll jump on the epic account just yet though, but those extra customization features do sound right up my alley.

As everyone above me has probably said at some point, you pay for more characters. As someone who has 50 different characters and tailors them for every RP they go into. I know how infuriating it can be to make a proper character profile.
