Hey I know I'm a little late, ok really really late...but does there happen to be any slots left open? I've had this idea for a hero character I've been meaning to use and this seemed like a good place to test it. If not I'll just show myself out.

Appearance:Dark brown skin, his torso resembles a hive nest and carries various insects, the 'hive' stretches up to his neck and ends right at the waist, covering most of his right shoulder.
What they do: Steals from criminals who steal from banks and Science facilities
Good or bad: Good
Why and how they're in Gotham: Gil has lived in Gotham his entire life and has grown used to the crime and villainy that came with it, his family could never afford to move out from their horrible apartment within the city and settled on making sure they were financially stable.
Goals: To find a cure for his condition

Background: Gil worked in a lab with some up and coming scientists, he volunteered to be a test subject in becoming a 'Hivemind' for insects and other rodents. Unfortunately, he was caught between a petty rivalry that resulted in a chemical leak that caused his 'condition', the chemicals that burned into his skin also released the creatures surrounding him. His last thoughts before he blacked out was 'save me', when he awoke he was surrounded by rodents and covered in insects that were trying to mend his wounds in the sewers just beneath the facility. He carefully traversed the city to speak with the doctor that was in charge of the experiment, the only person he trusted at the moment, when he found him it was obvious that the scientist was frightend but her sense of guilt urged her to help Gil control his powers and spent months helping him in secret.Gil wants nothing more than to be rid of his condition to feel normal again. His family thinks he's dead and he was afraid of revealing himself to them considering he looks like a freak.

Power/s: Control of insects and rodents (rats)
Reasoning for Justice/Crime: While he could never bring himself to harm innocent people, Gil has no issue stealing from criminals who have little to no idea on what the chemicals they steal could be used for much less how much danger they present. The money is just something to either give to his family or to legitimate scientific facilities.
