The land of Valerianos has been in an era of peace since the dragons disappeared and the Dragon Slayers have vanished to lands unknown. But in recent years, signs of the dragon's return have come to fruition, a dark sorceress has arisen, and the destruction of a small village by a Fire-Drake have informed the people that the land is no longer safe from the Dragon Storm approaching. But with new heroes arising, and the reincarnation of the great Dragon Slayer, will the Sorceress have her wish and destroy the kingdom, or will the great heroes save Valerianos from Draconic enslavement once more?

Madison was constantly moving. Ever since her herd... Well, ever since she lost them, she had continued her life, protecting anyone who was in the right, or at least were right in her eyes. She had personally came to Valerianos in search for rare plants, crystals and anything else for that matter. She has been crafting and collecting charms for as long as she remembers and is wishing to continue that here. She had heard a small amount of this land's history, with the dragons and all that, but she personally didn't think it was that big of a problem. To prove it, she was about to enter a village as her four hooves clicked across the ground.
Daric had slain yet another Drake near the village of Meadeton, the smaller dragon's body lying still in its own ashes. The villagers had come forth from their homes, cheering and praising the name of the Last Dragon Slayer. No one noticed the newcomer in the background, except for Daric, who was also busy keeping himself pious and humble when he saw her. The village reopened its markets and stalls, bringing forth everything in celebration. But this festival was interrupted by a bright red flash over the Mountains of Storak, near the city of Skyhold to the far north. It was then that the council called all who dwelt in that town into the Hall of Stories, Daric and the newcomer included.
Arram followed the crowd, cheering as Daric laid waste to the dragon. "That was amazing," he said to someone next to him. Gradually, the cheering died down, and as the market reopened, the normal babble, if elevated somewhat, resumed. Arram walked around, looking at the various goods for sale, but wasn't intent on buying anything. He saw the red flash out of the corner of his eye, and looked around. Almost everyone had seen it, and they began filtering through the now-empty stalls to the Hall. Arram followed, noticing Daric and the newcomer going as well.
The entire village had gathered into the Hall of Stories, awaiting a speech from the Holdmaster, an elderly man who took his time to mount the pedestal. "My people," The man spoke, "It is as I feared; The great dragon Mersoth has come." The crowd began to murmur, some wondering aloud if they were to die. "He has been displaced from his own land," he continued, "Sent here to claim our land once more." "WE'RE DOOMED!" Someone shouted from the back row. "Not as long as I still breathe." Daric announced from his position, rising for all to see. "I shall defeat this dragon and return with his head." "Young traveler," the elder spoke, "You speak and mean well, but Mersoth is no ordinary dragon. He is Saltok's favored (Saltok is a rendition of Netharan) and cannot be killed like lesser dragons. You must listen to reason." Daric sat again, then noticing the two new visitors near the back corner.
Evelyn sour threw the sky's noticing a villige she jumped off of Vlue both sky diving down when getting close she grabbed Vlue and quickly they pulled up landing nicly she looked at the villagers as they all had terrified looks on there faces, she waved smiling ",it's ok everyone Vlue won't hurt you!" She said cheerfully "actually I looking for a dragon Slayer I've been searching for about a year has anyone seen signs of one?" She looked around as the people whispered and thought.
Glancing around, Madison wasn't too thrilled at the thought of this legendary dragon getting in the middle of her searched. But, she wasn't thrilled at the thought of many lives being destroyed as well.
She seemed to listen carefully to the conversation, ears flicking every now and then. Maybe there was some sort of way she could possible take down Mersoth and obtain the plants she had been looking for.
Though, this was a mere thought. She didn't truly know what this dragon truly is.

"The only way to safely live," the elder continued, "Is to hope Mersoth means us no harm this time." "What hope is that," Daric protested, "To hide away in fear and shirk our freedom? We must find some other way to resist Mersoth, if he cannot be killed and we cannot give our freedoms away to him. Whatever it may be, I shall find it, and will save this people once more!"
Madison couldn't help but speak up.
"What makes you so sure that you'll beat this thing? Have you beaten him before?"
"What makes you so sure that you'll beat this thing? Have you beaten him before?"
Evelyn no sign of any dragon Slayer she left in search of them as the sun went down she layed on vlue's back looking at the night sky "it's beautiful huh Vlue?" "Very much so Eve" the dragon responded as he gazed up they found the tall treed woodlands flying into one of the trees to sleep eve watched the night sky once asleep Vlue covered her with his wings, Vlue was like a sibling to her.
Arram looked over at the newcomer that had spoken. A cervitaur? He hadn't seen one of them in a long time. Listening to her, he had to agree. What were the chances that Daric could survive the dragon? He was a dragonslayer, however, so there was no telling what he could and could not do.
Hey question is the dragon Slayer and group anywere near Evelyn if so I wanna find them soon cause it gets boring role-playing alone just saying))
Vlue layed watching the area around them soon falling to the sleep.

"For instance, this guy seems to be the dragon god! As a mortal, what chance do you have against him?"

(The story will come out of the Hall in a few short posts.)
"I'll not wait a second longer for a solution," Daric proudly stated, "I'm going, whether any should come with me or not!" With those words, he turned, storming out the front doors. That's when he saw the dragon in the sky. Instinctively, Daric drew forth his bow and began loading arrows when he saw someone on the creature's back. "Hail, dragon rider," He shouted, a little disappointed that he didn't get to bring the beast she rode upon down, "Come to land, that we may speak face to face." He stood waiting for any sign of her listening.
Meanwhile, the elder stood dumbfounded as the hero strode out of the doors. To answer the Cervitaur question (Though he was still confused of what her kind should be doing on her own), he replied, "My lady, you do not know of whom you speak. Long ago in the first era of Valerianos, Mersoth ruled all dragonkind and men. When his power began to diminish in the second era, with the coming of the DragonSlayers, he fled this dimension to the world of Avantianor, promising to return at the coming of the last great DragonSlayer. That time has come at last, and the Lord of Dragons, Favored of Saltok the dark, and heir of Ancalagon the Black. Now, we must hope to find some way of peace between us.)
(For Mersoth's true reason for returning, check out Mersoth the Great, an earlier roleplay made by me. Though the roleplay isn't finished at the time I write this, this is a possible outcome for the future of that specific story.)
((kk))
Nodding in understanding, she still had her doubts. Just because this guy was a legend did not mean anything in the skills department. For all she knew, he forgot everything over the years. Making her way through the crowd, she followed the DragonSlayer.
Maybe it was because she wanted to see how this turned out. But a small part of her did want to help. It was in her blood.

Arram looked back at the two, and decided to follow as well. He knew a little about dragons, but probably not enough to help them. He could make for a distraction, maybe.
Mersoth came through the portal of transportation, bloody and weakedned by the previous fight. Mercelia, his sister, had come as well, helping her injured older brother to the mountains of treasures moved from the previous home, the Crag Mountains of Avantianor. The Goblin and Kobold healers began their work on Mersoth's crippled body, while the tenders of his hoard began to organize and clean. Soon, the lair of Mersoth was as his lair in the other land; filled with Goblins, Kobolds, and treasures. Mersoth was too weak to command his forces at this time, giving the authority temporarily to his younger sister until he could recover. He remembered when he had to evacuate this lair the first time, when the 15 DragonSlayers had defeated him in battle years ago. But he knew they were long gone, and he would rule this land again.
Madison walks up beside Daric, glancing at the dragon rider.
(Hey, if you don't want this character in the rp, just tell me and I will stop it, and change this post. I was thinking he could be another dragon in the rp.)
Quickclaws awaited for the siblings and was frightened to see Mersoth injured, though it didn't take much to fright him. He made his way to the dragon tyrant, glancing to his sister, Mercelia.
"W-what happened? Is his excellence ok? Who could've possibly done this? Are you ok? I'm assuming you're going to lead the forces, right?"
Realizing that he was probably annoying them with questions, he shrinks down.
"I-I mean, welcome back...?"
