I haven't seen any natural disaster hit Georgia since I've been here, and Irma's really got me worried. Irma is running through Florida, and it's going to be hitting Georgia sometime tomorrow. I saw an image of the coast bordering the Atlantic Ocean and there is no water there. It was swept up by the hurricane, and when the hurricane does stop the water's going to fall pretty hard... The idea that something so destructive is going to be blowing through my home state is terrifying, really. Not only that, but there'll probably be flooding too. I've never had to deal with something like this before, and it makes me think about the people affected by the other hurricanes, and how they must be handling that now, and how bad people in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana are going to have it...
Below you can find a link with an interactive map showing the predicted path of the hurricane.

I suppose we can only hope for the best.

Hey! I know it's been a few days, but I hope you're doing all right. I know that Irma is now a TS instead of a hurricane so I hope you guys made out okay.
I've had to spend the last couple days without electricity and wi-fi, but it wasn't all that bad in my case. It was kind of scary at first, but things are dying down at least. I feel a little silly, being as scared as I was. '' But I suppose when one sees the words "hurricane in Georgia" in a news article one can't help but to feel afraid.
