So this character ties into the history of a modern-era nation I've been RPing since 2014. He's based on the period around the year 1150-1200. The RP relates to the nation as the actual tales of their IC history's epic. It's a romanticized tale around the world of the first settlers from the Land Of The Sun arriving on the Continent of Ice.
His father was a Scandinavian explorer. His mother was a merchant's daughter/adventurous trader from the land the ship landed in. Anyway!
I was thinking that having an actual goddess to worship could be a fun angle to write. Obstacles would come into play, like they wouldn't just meet normally. There would be a lot of behind the scenes stuff. Maybe your character could send signs.
Thing is, from your perspective, your character is the same normal person they usually are. I'm referring to characters already established as divine, I'm sure plenty are out there. But for this story, they can leave their realm with other divine characters and have my character looking up to them from way off in some human world.
So I could write about his voyages and stuff like that, fleshing out history & world building for my series. But we could add the angle of how your character maybe takes time from her schedule to help him out. How? That's up to you. Let's say she has an effect in his world, even if her divinity is downplayed in your usual stories.
Maybe she follows him around and protects him on the battlefield, but is invisible to his world. This would also tie into other RP, as I'd write your character into his bio. He'll be mentioning your character. Say the other character was a moon spirit. Runolf would tie a ritual in to the moon to get her attention. But if one got results, that same ritual might be used in a story I write with him two years from now. He'll be a long running character, being tied to my nation project.
Genres? Comedy. Action. Romance. Fantasy.
There'll be magic, sailing, warfare and some sort of inter-dimensional relationship. Eventually they'll meet and we'll see what happens. She'll have saved his life by then. It'll depend on your character and plot developments. For those who have characters that claim divinity, here's your chance to get an RP'd follower!
I am a descriptive writer, 3-5+ paragraphs. Looking to work on a new concept and see where it goes.
Don't have a character? Check my bios.. I animated them all and would be glad to fully animate your new idea. Avatar pic... Full body.. Interactive, with Runolf and even scenes... A battlefield?
Hoping for a long term partner. I'm quick to reply, but I'm open to people with less time.
I'm also open to sneaking other characters in. Maybe one goddess is just for war and the battlefield. Maybe one is just a trickster out to, well... troll him.. Maybe one is evil and wants to manipulate him into an agenda. Maybe one will be his guide. It's up to the characters.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Bronze age
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Freeform, paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.
I really like this idea, as it's fairly unique and definitely something that would make a great story. Solona (my name and my character aren't the same, I'll give you actual link) is used as a mage in the Dragon Age fandom. But her personality works extremely well as a goddess, as she's both mystic and always watching from somewhere. She's obsessed with destiny and prophecy as well, so there's much to do with her story. If you're interested in knowing more, I can give you the run down on her. If not, no worries
Sounds interesting for sure! Send me a PM about her. I have a few mages and see how that could be a fun angle for a mage. Just the angle of misunderstood arcane technology and energy is enough to make Tsoukalous drool. So yeah! I'll check your profile page, lets brainstorm.
Again, maybe room for 1 or even 2 others to pull Runolf's puppet strings. This seems worthy of a small group on the forum, at least.

Maybe I can play an evil Goddess, I never gave it a go xD what about that?
I'll give you a mp

She can be evil, but that may make him talk to her less. It's looking like I'm putting a small group together with Runolf communicating with 2-3 people in other realms. They may or may not be actually divine. They can just be mages or have some kind of technology. They can manipulate him, but they can't make him suddenly become evil or good. My writing will mostly be about him going through certain situations. They'll be able to see him, through scrying, or some other power/spell/technology.
He's just the sort of old world human who would believe anything not a regular human is automatically divine. So there can be an almost ancient aliens concept. There is no magic, nor divine beings on his world. He'll contact other realms where they'd seem divine to him for one reason or another.
Actually, she can follow him and try to harm him, as evil. Then he'd kind of need a protector. The first RPer also hinted at basing her character around wisdom and maybe some dark elements.. So we'd have to see about evil.
One doesn't have to have a goody-goody character to be divine, but maybe more complex angles than 'good-bad' are in order.
