Hi everyone! Above is a prompt towards any character that would fit into this setting. The story can go a few different ways, depending on our characters, how they react to things, and our own personal interests. I really want this to be long-term, and I'm cool with 1x1, but I'd prefer at least 2 or 3 others to join me.

I shouldn't have to say these things, but:
- This RP stays on this website and adheres to its guidelines. The only way this RP would be "rated R" would be in violence and gore, no other way.
- No godmodding/taking over. This includes for me. None of us should have to carry the RP; it should be a group effort
- Please be clear about your schedule. It helps the RP stay long-term, and helps the rest of us with the order of our replies.
- While I'm okay with one-liners, I prefer paragraph replies. At least one per reply If you're more comfortable with one-liners, I'm completely fine with that.

I'd be interested in this type of RP. My schedule is pretty busy, so I typically post really late at night daily, or occasionally on my lunch break. I'm willing to play Janine for right now, but likely I might make a different character to if I manage to get her done for this RP.

Hi everyone! I'm definitely still interested, and I think we have enough people to start! I'll make a board on the general RPs soon.
A couple of things:
1. Is everyone comfortable RPing at least 1 paragraph per reply? If not, just let us know, and we'll find a pace that's comfortable for everyone.
2. Is everyone okay with the "old haunted house" setting? I was thinking of making it a gigantic mansion with underground passageways that connect together and back to the house. It has no ways out. If you'd like something different, just let me know
3. Since I do like everyone to be open with their schedules, I'll be open with mine:
I only work Thursdays and Fridays (for now) and on those days I'm on pretty late. Otherwise, I'll be on midday through the night. This is based on U.S. Central time. That's why I've been afk the past couple of days, and I'm sorry about that! Lol

What about this you find a message tape in a abandoned laboratory labeled Plague doctor you listen to the recordings and hear this SCP-049: “What is this place?”
Dr. Smith: “What? It’s a labo…” [There is a loud crash here, from Doctor Smith dropping the recording device in shock.]
SCP-049: “A laboratory? It is quite marvelous. I now find it no wonder I’ve seen so few victims of the disease in here.”
Dr. Smith: “Y…eah. You see, I'd thought you incapable of speech. I’m somewhat startled you, um, can.”
SCP-049: “Oh, my, yes, good sir. I simply prefer not to. Most victims of the disease are quite melancholy and do not react at all well to conversation. I have seen you several times now, and have not detected the disease in you, therefore I assume you are also a doctor?”
Dr. Smith: “Yes, actually. Call me smith… but, what ‘disease’ are you talking about?”
SCP-049: “Why, good doctor, the Great Pestilence. What else?”
Dr. Smith: “Great pesti… Oh, the Plague. Should have seen that coming. But, no one here is infected, I can assure you.”
SCP-049: “Oh, good doctor, I can assure you, the Pestilence is here, and I can sense it. It is my duty in life to rid the world of it. My cure is most effective.”
Dr. Smith: “Your cure? Your cure has cost us hundreds of lives! Your cure is faulty!"
SCP-049: “Good doctor, my cure is most effective.”

An abandoned laboratory... Inside the old house? Maybe pieces of our characters' pasts are somehow part of the house, adding to the creepiness of it?
