"Oh, Yes! Look at me! rambling on like an old gal!" She laughed. "Come. Your house is this way."
Kuro nodded and followed Melinda. "How long has this kingdom been around?"
'12 years." She smiled warmly as the passed by dozens of people to get to her house.
"That is not very long for a kingdom to be built and put together like this." Kuro dodged every time someone was about to bump into her.
"No. His father reigned with an iron fist, and then Finn came in and-" She stopped and covered her mouth. "I'm not supposed to say."
"You might as well or I'm going to end up asking Finn himself." Kuro warned. She would ask Finn about all this later but not mention a word of who she got the inforamtion from.
She glanced around. "He Killed his brother for the thrown."
"Hmmm, intersting. I will have to sure enough figure him out." Kuro knew she couldn't kill her brother for any reason, not even her own freedom.
She shook her head. "Its not what you think. His highness is very kind. He killed his borther to protect us. his brother was cold hearted and lethal."
"Now I understnd why he would do it. I knew someone like that and I have plans for the next time I see him." A bit of mixed emotions flashed in Kuro's eyes but soon disappered back into their usual coldness.
"Your eyes lie." the girl giggled. "Cannot lie from the elder!"
Kuro blinked a few times, slightly confused. "What do you mean "My eyes lie?""
She leaned in. "Your eyes lied. YOur very warm, but, your eyes are cold." She smiled secretivly and skipped off.
Kuro blinked a few times, still surprised by that. "Warm? Me? Whatever." Kuro shook her head and went into the house she was given.
"Have fun! I hope to see you soon!" And as quick as she came she was gone.
Kuro sighed, totally confused by this kingdom. She closed the door of the house behind her and leaned her back against it. She pulled her jacket off, showing the testing scars scattered across her arms and how long the black part of her hair was, ending at her tail bone.
Finn was barking orders at people and was running his hands through his hair nervously. 'They must have a plan, they're so small compared to us.' He ran many thoughts through his head when he came to the well. He splashed the remaining water on his face.
Kuro sighed and went out of the house. She decided that if she was going to be part of this war she might as well help. She asked a few people where Finn was and they told him. She saw spalsh some water in his face, without a single sound to make her presence known. She was right behind him and whispered in his ear "Is there anything I can help with, Finn?" She wasn't going to call him King or his highness, she only saw him as a person and that would never change.
He hissed threw clenched teeth. "Unless you can brain wash an entire village into letting this war go, then no." He stood back and stared at the sun. It felt good against his now damp face, and hair.
Kuro glared at Finn. "You are the one who wanted me to stay here, you could easily have told me and sent me on my way. Learn to be a little grateful to those who did chose to fight. It isn't the easiest thing in the world to give up your future, your life for this kingdom." Her voice had slowly grew louder and louder.
