Listening to Dexter's answer to June's question, Sorin can't disagree with what he has to say. He yawns and pats the small kitten, wondering why the laughter sounds so odd.
The cat hops off Sorin's shoulders and onto the floor. She casually walks to the corner of the medical room and sits, facing the wall. Dexter can pick up some silent spells being cast.

When the spells were cast, all the non-robotic denizens of the hall suddenly came to a stop and stared at the cat's direction.
Behind Sorin's cat stood Nibbles floating just above the floor with a great deal of seriousness as Nibbles stares at it with a glowing wand aimed at it. From behind, Dexter still stood there with his gentleman's smile and demeanour but his voice as he speak held a certain graveness.
"Cat, I believe I have been fairly tolerant to your presence for a while now. I even allowed you into my home, as a sign of goodwill. But my hospitality only goes so far and I will not tolerate any form of infraction from any of my customers and their companions."
Even the gorilla that was laughing just mere moments ago had already pulled out a gun and was aiming it at the cat.
"So I am going to ask you this once, and do not try to pretend you cannot speak since my spell is still in effect. What are you and what do you think you are doing? And please do answer truthfully, I really do not wish to mess up my clean medical room."
Nibbles did not move and was prepared to fire if the cat was to do anything other than talk.

Sorin leaps at the cat, holding her close, "No one hurt her! What's wrong with you!? It's not like she's hurting anyone!" he shouts, expecting his life to be over. Tears stream down his face as he just wants to go home. The kitten makes a small laughing sound from within the young man's protective arms. *I guess this is how they react to unfamiliar things* she chuckles to herself. Sorin suddenly falls over, asleep. The cat is gone.
A young woman sits before Dexter. She has dark skin and bright yellow eyes. Long black hair folds back into an elegant ponytail beneath a large pointy hat, which she tips a little. "The name is Claire. If you must know I am a witch. In training. I specialize in shapeshifting and," she winks, "protection spells. I was assigned to protect this boy a couple years ago by my mentors."

June frowned the whole time and still had an open mind.
"Smart, but just not that smart. Who knows how far in technology the stone years got in,because the world was once destroyed. We are only granted with a minimum amount of knolege. They could have far past us in technology, but who knows? We take cavemen for idiots and we only know part of what happened. I can assure you they were far past you and I. Have you ever thought of that?"
She frowned and crossed her arms,a bit tired of his arrogance and the other males wimpiness. She watched the cat turn into a witch and was fairly unfazed, but only really annoyed. She got up and seemed rather upset as she walked out,not thinking about the blade that fell out of her boot and was on the floor. She always felt left out of everything,so this wasn't new.
Same thing...always feel forgotten or left out...just a different day.

Nibbles was able to pull his wand away in time when Sorin jumped in his way. The blast from the wand shook the room and left a large hole in one of the walls, causing Dexter to sigh.
He did not even move or seem shocked with the appearance of Claire on his side, though it startled the Gorilla into pointing the gun at her. His eyes had long revealed that she was not really a cat.
"Then I find it strange that your mentor has not taught you that sneaking about casting spells in another arcanist's home is extremely bad manners, no matter the spell. Especially in this place which houses more than it's share of doomsday devices."
No longer smiling the grave look in his eyes now seem more prominent. He bends forward to gaze into Claire's eyes, "Do you even understand the repercussions if any of those knowledges fell into the wrong hands? Even the devil takes great care to tread with caution when in this place, and I will expect nothing less from an apprentice, regardless of how powerful she is."
He straightens back up his gentleman's smile back on as he returns to his discussion with June. "How far? Miss June, the stone age built the foundation for everything that makes us what we are. All the primary staples of our lives are merely improvements of the discoveries and inventions cavemen made. From mud houses to skyscrapers, from a club to a rocket, from tribes to cities. The only reason they were not able to advance further was because made it a quite a problem. Not to mention the giant meteor, though actually that taught cavemen numerous things as well. Your argument about them having a much higher form of technology is not very likely because the meteor that hit during the stone age did not vaporize everything, it just buried everything a dirt and heat."
Dexter again points at the library outside. "Your argument about limited knowledge is also flawed. The world is full of libraries, books, scripts and other forms of solid information. And with the creation of the internet, knowledge is but a few buttons away. The majority of people simply use to watch pictures of cats, sexual fantasies and idiots making a fool of themselves. But it IS there if someone is willing to look for it. All these are filled with the collective experience of the entire human race and it grows ever larger with each discovery."
With his speech there was a look of wonder and consternation in them. "I just have a leg up in my library because I get them from other places and people other than humans. Though man kind has done so a few times in its history." He gave a evasive look with that previous statement.
As June walked out of the medical room, he stopped the two doctors from getting her and called out to her. "And Miss June, it is not my intention to leave you out of anything, but I have my priorities and my duties.. and you should at least respect that."

June stopped and had a upset look. She walked towards him and growled. "HAVE YOU NOTICED ANYTHING?! The very fabrics of the possibilities of different dimensions are more then alive right now?! That man with the green mask on...he was more then just a mere puppet. He was not of our time, let alone dimension. You my good sir need to get your head out of the books and the clouds and get a reality check! We are all SCREWED!"
June quickly grabbed his collar and growled. "Im not one who will go fighting a battle I sure as hell no I can't win,but I'm damn sure if there is one thing true,it's that your arrogant tail is in some deep trouble!" June sighed and looked him in the eyes. "Face the facts that you do not know everything. Face the facts that knolege is meaningless when the nine dimensions are becoming one. Face the facts that you are like a helpless little kitten now."
She let go of him and tried to calm her self, but the anger came out in tears. "Take it in consideration that I know what will happen next. Then...you could at least respect that." She crossed her arms. "No one respects a coward...and you are a coward." She starts to walk again,a white owl appearing on her shoulder. It was her pet from a different world that could make itself visible if it wanted.

"Claire" yawns and walks over to Sorin. She has no interest in knowledge, or time. When remembering Dexter's words of "home" she frowns. This is the Halls of Knowledge. Does the man claim ownership to it? Interesting. But not interesting enough. "Claire" hugs Sorin, and they both disappear.
Dexter watches her with a steady gaze, his face no longer that of a joking gentleman. The graveness of his face was only matched by the graveness of his eyes. And when he spoke it seemed to echoe a little more than it should.
"You think thou art the only one who can see the future, little girl? I too have foreseen it, but mine powers are not of confrontation, so I had sought thee out in hopes of aiding thee. Yet thou hast labelled me a coward, belittled the responsibility placed upon me and even mocked that which has actually allowed thee to even speak right now."
Dexter started to fade and the voice started to come from all over the place.
"Thy youth makes you reckless and believe thyself all-knowing, yet you could not even comprehend a helping hand when it hath reached out right to thy face. I care little for your realm and its plane. This one's outside of it and will be unaffected by your foreseen doom. The favour sought from me has been dealt and my responsibility ends here. I truly hope that your decision has not sealed your realms fate. Begone..."
With the last word, June was ejected from the Halls of Knowledge to find herself back at the ball room with all the sleeping guests. If Sorin and Claire had still been in the Halls, they too would have been ejected no matter where in the Halls they were. Also, as a parting gift for when all had left, they see an image of Dexter without the masquerade of the jokster and instead stood a man with a humourless gaze and a serious demeanour, and for some reason, they realized that the last image was in fact the true character of Dexter Talbot, the Mage of Knowledge.
Sadly, with the impending danger and June's decisions, the Hall's were sealed to all within this realm and it truly feels that the world has lost something very valuable.
(With that, I am bowing out of this game. Sorry, this game really was not to my liking. All the best.)
