The city of Vexal Port is bordered by woods to the north, ocean to the east, marshland to the south, and the large industrial city to the west. It's always being choked by the weather, the smog, and the overall stink from around them.
Most people gravitate towards the woods or ocean for fresh air and a life at sea.
As of late, however, something's been... Off. The feeling in the air, the intensity of the law enforcement that presides over this smothered port town, and the people... They're all feeling more paranoid, and have been plagued by a new mystery each day.
But not everyone is the same. Some are even inhuman. But that is a taboo topic, unless you're in trustworthy company.

OOC: Hi everyone! I'd like for this to have fantasy elements mixed in with the story we create. Magic can exist if you'd like it to, as can advanced technology. There's a mystery behind Vexal Port, and our characters need to figure out what it is.
I'd also like our characters to all have a little bit of mystery to each of them. You can read Rarity's profile, and you'll see that mystery is woven in through her life. I wanna bring those mysteries to this RP
I'm open to more genres making their way in, like horror or romance, but let's not do anything 18+.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
