(DO NOT call Mechs "robots" in rp unless you're a character that is using a stereotype.) Mechs are able to be any size, are interchangeable, and much more. Do not make your character some sort of god, unless you can prove you have the responsibillity. {Plot : 15 years after the "scrapyard" murdering, the mech responsible for the oilshed is released and has a plan, get as many other criminals as possible and make the city a wasteland. This large gang of criminals will be called the "Scrapyarders".The city (Gharindi City) is quite low tech for the time being, you have the choice of survival ; Join the scrapyarders, or fight for the innocent.
Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (generation ships)
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
