Roan ran up to Devil. "What's up?" He asked.

Monica walked beside Deme as they took the pups back. "You ok?" She asked.

“Yeah, the wolf could have hurt these little ones” Deme said with a sigh.

“There was some wolf, talking to Marik. He was very big, and umm called Marik a walking said soemthing about his father, I think he wanted to kill Marik” Devil said hesitantly swaying back and forth while she talked.

"Good thing you were there to protect them then" Monica responds. "Good tough talk for a big softy"

Roan looks worried. "Oh" he says.

“Idk what to do so I thought you know or... anyone else really” Devil said

"I know this wolf" Roan mutters. "We all do"

“Well I don’t, care to fill me in?” She said frowning.

“I’m so weak, I probably wouldn’t have done any good against him” Deme frowned.

"You did your best and it was brave to stand up to him" Monica replied, nuzzling his neck.

"Zan used to be the ruler of this pack when we were just pups. He was cruel, hardly anyone liked him. One day, Marik's father stood up to him by challenging him to a fight for leadership. The battle was long and bloody but eventually Marik's father came out on top. I fear he has come to challenge Marik."

“Why wouldn’t he let me kill him then?” Devil asked her head tilting slightly.

Deme blushed.

"Leadership fights, They're to the death. His father spared Zan on the promise that he would be exiled. He has come to claim leadership once more and Marik knew that. He likes thing fair."

Monica giggles.

Deme turned his head so Monica wouldn’t see him blushing.

Devils claws dig into the earth. “What if accidentally dies?” She asked staring at the ground.

Before Roan can answer, I walk up to them. "Hi guys" I say.

Monica giggles again. "You embarrassed?" she jokes.

“N no” Deme said softly then added with a sigh “yes”

“Hi” Devil said a bit bitterly.

"So...?" Says Roan expectantly. "I'm too fight him at noon" I respond.

"Why?" She asked, tilting her head slightly and giggling.

“I dunno” Deme replied staring at his paws.

“IF he kills you, could I kill him?” Devil asked quietly.

"Well, I don't want to think about that. If I did though, I'd ask Roan to get you and Deme out of harms way. I wouldn't want you getting hurt trying to fight him." Roan nods.

"Well you know what?" Monica says in a flirty tone. "I think your quite a good looking wolf."

“He kills anyone, especially you, he’s gonna have a bad day. Or torture and slow, very slow and painful death” she said a bit loudly but didn’t even seem angry.

“I know.... your very pretty ya know” Deme said glancing up at her.

Monica smiled at him before nuzzling him again.

"Glad to know you got my back" I say smiling at her. "But your gonna have to promise me you don't interrupt the main fight."

“I can’t make that promise” Devil said being serious.

Deme nuzzled her back, blushing.

"I love you" Monica said softly.

"Its the ancient rules of fighting, unless you want a whole pack turning on you, I think it would be wise to watch and let whatever happens, happen."
