Greco-Roman mythology themed story with gladiators, warriors, fighters.
A tale of rise and fall and above all... endurance.
Will you side with the gods or rise up against them ??
In this story our main character, a powerful, wealthy, noble Patrician is about to fall in disgrace when Fates turn sour at his defiance of their decrees and he (and his band) will have to fight against all odds to stand his ground.
will he look death in the eye unflinching? will he earn his place of power and honor back? or will he crumble at the failed quest, forced to acknowledge the greatness of the gods?
will his reward and peace come to him as a humble subdued prayerful man? one who finally appeases the fickle gods and fates? who will go on a quest to seek their forgiveness for his foolish denial, defiance and disrespect shown so far?
or will it be as the warrior that defies all odds and gods to remain unbroken? earning mortals and immortals admiration and perhaps your place of honor and command back? or even rise higher unto immortality itself?
Whatever the task... welcome aboard
* Characters with magic such as sorcerers welcomed as well as humans and warriors, evil and good alike
* Percy Jackson, Xena and Hercules fans all welcomed aboard
*100, the gladiator fans and similar welcomed too as well as everyone else
* If you do not have any Roman/Greek characters but want to join in, you can recycle your existing characters or make a random one for this story (no need for a profile slot to be used up - you can introduce your characters in OOC forum )
* Whilst this is free form writing and there is no minimum length of reply, please, try to make an effort to post a meaningful one that allows for interaction/response. There is nothing more challenging (polite form for frustrating!) than trying to RP with someone whose replies are repeatedly limited to... "my character looks at you and nods"
If your character doesn't have much to say at some point or other, focus on what your character is doing, looking at, thinking or feeling, mention where he is, the surroundings, the feelings, what he/she is wearing, small details that might catch attention like items or things around him, or conversations he overhears for example.
With that said, welcome and have fun

Do you have a specific formatted character application for this story?
not so far, do you have ideas you would like to share ? who you would like to play? ideas to develop into the plot?
Well I've always had this thought, romans tended to adopt deities from conquered regions through pax deorum. Meaning that they were subsumed into the pantheon.
I have a theory that these foreign gods exist but have little to no power in Greece or Rome only being able to do minor tricks and walk amongst its people and gods. It's something I'd like to test if given the space.
Otherwise I have two characters in mind for this.

Sure, why not, sounds a very interesting take and it would tally with the storyline too
I might be a bit, classes are about to start and I still need to eat breakfast.
No worries at all, no rush or pressure
I’ve got a few character ideas, but it messes with some of the basic rules of greco-Roman myth so bear with me.
I have quite a character in mind who's....quite unusual so to say. A character who travels between dimensions and worlds. Revered as a goddess by one world, the demon queen in one, a traitor to humanity in another, and a mother and wife in her own.
the IC is open... feel free to join if anyone is interested

Is there room for perhaps one more goddess from custom made lore?
suuure creativity never has known to have boundaries so why limit it! Try to adjust a little to the setting/scenario aka no futuristic robot killing machine... more tuned into the time/place preferred
My character is more medieval/ancient Egyptian anyways.
I still presume the neko teleported. If she was following Restia, Restia would've noticed.

Maybe she was concealing herself, but okay. Lol.
Concealing with physical way or magical way will still cause her to notice. Unless it is a spell she has never seen before, she will know.
