As I have posted before, I have a goal to lose 50 pounds. If I manage to do so, my mom and I will go on a trip to Hawaii! Well as of today, I am 50% of the way too that goal! 25 pounds down, 25 more to go. Hawaii I'm coming for you baby! Anyway wish me luck as I continue to lose my way to tropical paradise!
RedLantern

My god how did you do?
25 pounds? In how much time?

Goodluck!
Wow, congratulations! Here's to hoping you reach your goal! I'm sure you will, though, sounds like you're doing great. Enjoy your trip to Hawaii :).

It took me a year to lose it. Big problem is that I tend to yo yo a bit. Lose some weight, gain part of it back, lose even more. Over all more down then up obviously since I'm 25 down from my starting weight. I would really like to be a bit more efficient, but losing weight is never easy. I'm trying to balance weight loss without completely depriving myself of tasty junk food. Basically trying to go for an 80/20% balance. Be good 80% of the time and bad 20%. That being said I think I hit the bad a little bit more then I should. xD

Well, I don't have much to loose but i'm worried about the yoyo thing.
Is your weight gain a genetic disease or just you having bad diet?
Trying to do the opposite, I know something that helped one of the guys in my platoon with weight loss though was - exercise did a great part of it - but honestly I think his dietary changes did more.

Course he did not go on a diet, but what he did do was focus real heavy on great quality meats and increasing protein (gotta be careful with protein though as if you don't use it it will turn to fat). That only works if you want to replace fat with muscle though, if you just want to drop fat I am not entirely sure what dietary changes would help.

Congrats though, getting in, and staying in, shape is a difficult but rewarding thing to do. I myself can't wait until swimsuit season :P

Far as I know he did not take anything other than your typical daily vitamins if those.

I do however believe he was eating protein/energy bars and drinking the shakes.

Protein shake.
I am not sure how to describe it other than a powder full of protein that you mix in water (or milk if you want it to taste good) and drink. Body builders use them (too much in my opinion), but for normal folks they are any easy intake of the precious muscle building resources. You just can't drink too much since all that will turn to fat if not used.

Oh o.k
How much did he work out to start building muscle?(gaining?)

Not sure what you meant by my weight gain? Do you mean my original weight gain or the yo-yo weight gain? The yo-yo weight thing is basically a result of me falling off the wagon then me getting back on the wagon. As for exercise, I walk some, but it's mostly just changes in my every day diet. I'm not on a diet per say, but more like making permanent changes to how I eat and trying to improve it bit by bit. I want to lose the weight in a way that I won't gain it all back.

it's the best way, I should do a bit more walk and surely get into swimming for example.^^

Can I talk to you in pm?
I know that you actually do have to eat some unhealthy food to lose weight quickly. AKA you should take one day a week where you can eat whatever you want, the rest you eat healthy.
I WANT TO GO TO HAWAII!
Also, if you have foods that have fewer calories and exercise a lot, like extream exercise, you should lose the last few pounds.
I don't know if this will work for sure, but you'll have muscles! Those might add to your weight actually... Don't do what i said

Well, the true command is : don't starve, don't eat trash. The best fresh and organic food you can find, just eat it. Bake it, cook it, whateer you wish, but stay away from the sprite drinks, already made food. Once in a while, when you run out of time, o.k, not every single day.

Who does not want??? xD

Swimming is fine if you can afford it.

We did P.T. every Tuesday and Thursday. We worked out for probably about five to six hours? We'd go out there at sometime in the afternoon and leave at dark.

That is not to say that was the only time he worked out either. No matter how little you do it is good practice to do it every day or just as often as possible. We often drop out of exercising because we do it once a week and if you miss one day well "it can wait until next week" and soon next week becomes, well, not next week.

Getting a good schedule is great. Also, fresh and organic foods are important (I usually don't say that cause folks somehow think I am a hippie when I do) and will help for sure.

:') Gonna cry lol, Yeah I get it that perfectly.
But having a schedule can be hard with life antics, still hoping for the best.

Ah man, wish they had invented special pills that make you healthy and stuff in no time nor sweat. xD
I know, it's bad to say this!
