It has been said that every year in the Netherworld, many youth are placed in the greatest of challenges; the Trials of Netharan! Filled with fire, death, mazes, foul creatures, puzzles, battles, prizes and more await those chosen to compete in the event. But the prize above all, which crowns the Trials, is the Pyreblade, a weapon that symbolizes Netharan's power, giving the wielder immeasurable power above all mortals.

You have been chosen from a camp of Overworld slaves to compete in the Trials, being forced to leave behind your enslaved family. Others have been chosen; some you know and some you have never seen before. Eventually, all but one will die, forced to serve Netharan in the afterlife. Will you claim the Pyreblade and save your family?

Well, those that die are told that they will serve Netharan forever, but what they don't say is that they can be brought back from the dead to fight the soon-to-be champion in a duel, where their fate is decided. In short, only if you want them to.
