This universe has portals that may allow anything to leave or enter, the open seas of the mortal realm within it connect to these portals, leading to far off lands where universes connect. Anything goes from there, enter at you're own risk, for gods and monsters alike may stop you.
Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Bronze age
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.

Sings-With-Heart can best any monster of the sea, even those outside of Tamriel.
