Hey! What music do you folks listen too? I'm personally a large fan of metal, whether it be the classics like Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden etc or the more newer (And in my opinion, heavier) stuff such as Behemoth, Meshuggah, Chimaira. I have to admit, I listen to more newer metal (Not to be confused with Nu-metal!) than I do the older stuff. What about you?
Do you know Static X?
I don't listen to much anything anymore lol, use to know a bt about metal though.

Well depends on what kind of metal you are into, but I can tell you they are great.
But the main singer isn't one of us anymore... It's just sad.
You can listen to it on Youtube freely, but Deezer and stuff have remix as far as I know since thr time I used it.
Nice covers, nice remix, adaptations... Nice band.
I enjoy a variety of stuff; country, jazz, metal, and classic rock being some of my favorites.
I love a lot of the old country artists like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire, and Alabama. I enjoy some of those 90s country artists like Toby Keith and Brooks & Dunn, though I'm a bit more selective on the newer stuff.
Classic rock is great. AC/DC, Aerosmith, Europe, Bon Jovi, Kansas (no bias there.), U2 (if you want to consider them classic rock), among a few others.
Jazz is gun, though I almost exclusively listen to Ray Charles or Louis Armstrong.
Metal is also fun, though I stick to mostly the old 80s thrash groups like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth, Testament, and the occasional Exodus. Though, Disturbed and Five Finger Death Punch are fun as well.

Anything from classic rock to death core.
Like Pink Floyd to Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, and finally, Insomnium.

Damn right. Various game composers are my faves.
I love gamemusic. K?~
Fiddler on the deck on repeat for some reason.
A large portion of my music is several genres of metal, or things that combine those genres, Power, Progressive and Symphonic. I greatly prefer clean vocals although I don't mind if -some- growls mingle in so long as the primary voice/voices sing cleanly
For writing my favorite music is instrument Djent

There is just something about the sound that helps my brain process. There are no words to distract, but it's not soft and soothing where it makes me relax. It's invigorating.
Avantasia is my fav band of all time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USkP6pT8UYI
Although Kamelot rates pretty high on the list as well

Favorite album of all time however is by a group called Ayreon. Most of the albums tell a story spanning eons with a strong sci-fi theme. The story is huge and powerful and complex to it's hard to even really sum it up here without going on for pages.
The prequel story, I am utterly in love with this album and I have listened to it 100+ times

new obsession

I also have a shameless love for cheesy over the top powermetal that doesn't take itself too seriously

IF anyone likes some of the stuff linked here feel free to PM or comment on this thread and I can link you probably about 40 other bands at least.

I listen to a lot of things. From classic rock and Country to Heavy Metal and Rap.
I listen to a lot of Buddy Holly, and I am inspired by him to play my guitar. His music is something I'll actually "jam" out to. I know so "cringey". I also listen to old Buddy Rich songs (or songs he's in). I also enjoy many other classics like Chuck Berry and Fats Domino.
I listen to country because my father played all this to me when I was wee boy. I enjoy country because it reminds me of my family. I listen to almost anything from country radios.
For rap I just listen to 90s rappers. I also really like Eminem.

I like a variety of music, though I do mostly love country music. Really, any music that's got a good beat or a good message to it (and cheesy country love songs *cough* KV shares them with me *cough*) I have to say, one of my all time favorite music artists is Carrie Underwood (she is a phenomenal country music singer) though she is among other all time favorite artists of mine, a lot of which are country music singers
