Sair didn't seem so upset. He sat down on the couch and relaxed. "You know what's wonderful? THey showed me their hideout. Their place. It's fantastic. I can bust them up so bad. He wants to vacate right away...but he can't. Because if he does, my 'dad' might find him. Hm? So he stays, just to wait for dad to leave. In the meantime.." He picked up the phone. "The cops bust them again."
This made Ariadne feel a whole lot better. Assuming it worked of course. There was no guarantees that the men hadn't vacated the warehouse, looking for hiding places elsewhere. She too took a seat on the couch, and waited with baited breath as Sair placed the call.
Sair gave the report and let the police handle the rest. He then just relaxed in his seat for a moment...but then he turned to face her and flicked her forehead. "Learn your lesson?" He paused for a moment, then held out his hand. "And...sorry. 'bout earlier. The yelling and stuff. You didn't deserve it." What? An apology from him??
Ariadne looked at him with shock when he flicked her forehead, and then.... apologized. A flat out apology...from Sair. Had he been possessed? She looked at him strangely for a moment, then, as if possessed herself, leaned forward and gave him a tight hug, assuming he didn't push her away.
She might have even teared up a bit. "Thank you for saving my life Sair...again...." She blushed a little bit, though he would thankfully not notice, being that she'd buried her face in his shoulder. "I, I though we might both die there today... I was...I was so worried."

Sair blinked in surprise when she suddenly hugged him. Girl. Hugging him. And not because she liked him. He REALLY didn't know what to do. He just sat there awkwardly, not sure if he should hug her, or pat her back, or what...
"Well...you kinda saved mine first, y'know. So...it's not that big a deal." When she said she thought they were going to die, he laughed. "I always have something up my sleeve, Ariadne. I always have a plan. Trust me."

Ariadne almost laughed at the awkwardness of the situation, and pulled away after a moment, looking away to hide the big, stupid blush that had spread across her cheeks. Damn her fair Scottish complexion. "Yeah, well...I'm beginning to see that. Thanks all the same. I would have been screwed had you not showed up."
Sair chuckled. "You would've been screwed no matter what. Be glad I'm on your side. Otherwise, things would be worse." He smiled and looked at her. "Well, after all that excitement, are you hungry? We could get something to eat."
Ariadne thought he might be right about that. She expected one would be silly to allow themselves to end up on his bad list. Perhaps it had been a good thing after all, that she'd patched him up...then again. She likely wouldn't have had gang members after her in the first place, had she not.
She hadn't been sure she could think of food at the moment, but strangely enough, when he'd mentioned it, she suddenly realized that she was hungry. "Sure, I could go for some food."

Sair nodded, as if he were the smartest person in the world, then got up and went to the kitchen. "What are you in the mood for? We have practically everything." He smiled at her and looked through the fridge and cupboards.
Ariadne thought about it for a moment. After the day she'd had, comfort food was the way to go. "Soup or some kind?" She asked, though she would easily have eaten something else, had he not the supplies at hand.
She followed him into the kitchen, and perched on the counter. Watching as he searched through cupboards. "When do you think we'll know...if the police caught him..I mean."

Sair got out a couple big cans. "Chicken noodle soup?" He started making it, then thought over her question. "Well, I'll get a phonecall or we'll see it on the TV. You can go ahead and turn it on if you want."
Ariadne nodded. Chicken Noodle sounded just about perfect. She went over to the TV and flipped it onto the live news channel, so that they would hear when the man had been caught. She hoped the sound wouldn't disturb Sair's parents, bringing them down from...the rafters, or wherever bad parents hung out.
rolled 1d2 and got 1
bust on news/not on news
rolled 1d2 and got 1
plan worked/did not work yet
Sair listened to the news, grinning as it was reported that the men had been caught and were all going to jail. Since it was a repeated bust, the boss was not going to be able to get out on bail this time. Sair made the chicken noodle soup, then got her a dish and spoon and brought her a serving, sitting down beside her with his own serving. "See? Told you I had a plan."
Ariadne took the bowl gratefully. His plan had worked. She was home free. She would no longer have to worry about looking over her shoulder wherever she went. She couldn't believe it. Her life could go back to normal!...now there was a depressing thought... Well, maybe she could try to make some changes. Maybe. She took a big sip of her soup.
"Oh thank heavens."
"Oh thank heavens."
Sair smirked. "Don't you mean 'oh thank Sair'?" He chuckled and just ate his own soup, watching the TV. He felt quite proud of his accomplishment. Quite proud indeed.
Probably she did mean that. She owed him everything for what he'd done for her. Though he likely didn't see it that way. She most certainly would have been killed, had he not been there to save her ass, for the second time no less.
She swallowed more soup, deep in thought about it all. She was relieved that they were safe now.
"Does this mean your safe too Sair?" She wondered if he'd be ablle to escape the clutches of his awful parents now that he didn't have to worry about getting stabbed. Did that also mean he would move on, stop bumming around her apartment? Surely he didn't need to anymore.. it was odd, but the thought kind of made her sad. She would go back to being alone.

Sair lifted an eyebrow. "Well...depends. It depends on whether I start picking other fights or not." He shrugged and just kept eating his soup. "And that depends on whether anyone else pisses me off or not."
Ariadne rolled her eyes. Of course. Likely he wouldn't stay out of trouble for long. How could he with an attitude like his? She expected he'd never been out of trouble in his life.
"Well,I suppose you can breathe easy for the next several minutes anyway."
"Well,I suppose you can breathe easy for the next several minutes anyway."
Sair chuckled. "Yeah. That's true." He leaned back and closed his eyes, sighing contently. It was so nice to be able to relax. Though he knew it wouldn't last for long, at least it lasted for that moment.
