Sair grit his teeth. He was obviously getting pissed off. "I'm using you for food and a place to stay. That's a bit different than your day PAYING a family to take care of you, now isn't it? All they ever do is tell me what a pain in the ass I am, or how I'm a troublemaker, how I'll never do anything in my life, and how I'm a lazy S-O-B. But when I leave, they get all whiny and beg me to come back, claiming they 'love me'." He tched and looked away. "It makes me sick. They just want me back so my stupid dad doesn't find out and stops sending them payments." He'd stopped paying the game by now, hands gripping the controller rather tightly.
Ariadne was getting cross as well, something that did not happen for her very regularily. She crossed her arms over her chest. There were a million things she could say in reply. He'd invited himself into her home, because he had rightly picked her out as an easy mark, a pushover. He came and went as he pleased..he didn't even try to be civil.
She let out a long sigh, and held her tongue. In the end it didn't matter. He was obviously damaged by his home life, and she would remain a pushover. What was the use in arguing about it. She got up out of her chair, and grabbed the now empty dishes, to take to the kitchen and wash.

Sair didn't feel like playing videogames anymore. He put the things away and laid out on the couch, closing his eyes. He despised talking about his family life, or lack thereof. He especially didn't want to discuss it with someone like her. For some reason, she irritated him. Maybe it was the fact that she WAS a pushover, and even though she could, she didn't kick him out. Maybe that was what irritated him. The fact that she was...kind. Kindness was something he simply wasn't used to.
Ariadne washed the dishes, and tried to find it therapeutic, but it was too late, days of passive aggressive anger had boiled over, and she was just brimming with unreleased energy. She knew it wasn't right to get so riled, over someone who was obviously stuck in a hard place, but she couldn't help it either. He just...made her so mad.
Sair, completely unaware of how positively mad he'd made her, simply...fell asleep. He had no reason to stay awake. He certainly didn't want to talk to her, and he wasn't about to go home. He could always go barhopping, but then she probably wouldn't let him back in her home. So he simply decided to sleep. He figured if he fell asleep early he could wake up early and be away from her faster.
Ariadne when to bed, soon after she'd cleaned up her kitchen. Though she did not fall asleep for some time, angry as she was.
She'd only been asleep for two hours when her cellphone went off, it was an alert, telling her that the soup kitchen has been broken into. She groaned. Why now,, why today? She swung herself out of bed, and quickly dressed. Throwing her hair back, she left her room, intent on getting out the door, hopefully without waking up her unwanted house guest.

Sair was woken, unfortunately. He stirred, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. "What are you doing?" he groaned, reaching for his cellphone to check the time. Finding it off, he frowned and turned it back on. "Why are you awake so early? Nobody's gonna get hurt at this time, everyone's asleep." he grumbled, finally seeing the time.
She may have sworn under her breath, at the realization that she'd woken him up. "Go back to sleep, I'm just going out to check on the soup kitchen. I'll be back in a bit." She was slipping on her shoes, and looking for her keys, and pepper spray.
Sair noticed her grab the pepper spray, and his curiosity was perked. He waited a minute or two, then got up and went out as well. He remembered where the soup kitchen was; it was where he'd first seen her. So he crept along the side, staying in the shadows after he caught up with her and just watching for now.
Ariadne cautiously approached the front door of the small establishment. The glass door had been smashed to bits, the lights were on inside. She had 911 dialed into her cellphone, in hand, but waited to call. She wanted to make sure it wasn't a harmless homeless man or something.
She slipped in over the broken glass.
She slipped in over the broken glass.
Sair watched her go in, and he crept up behind her, peering around the side of the door and into the building. Someone had broken into a soup kitchen? Why? It made no sense to him, it was just a stupid old soup kitchen.
Ariadne didn't really understand why someone had broken into the soup kitchen either. I mean, it wasn't as if they kept money on premises or anything. There was no gain in doing this, it was a senseless crime. Unless of course it was someone who'd missed business hours, and was looking for a snack. Not super likely, but drugs made people do weird things. She entered the cafeteria type area and gasped. The whole place had been vandalized, the room, completely trashed. No one was in sight, but she hadn't checked the prep area yet, nor the small office in the back.
Sair heard her gasp and he crept in carefully, looking around. Unlike her, he crept along the wall to the office. If someone was going to break in and do something, they were sure to go there too.
Ariadne hadn't heard Sair slip in, as she moved towards the prep area. Though, lacking the experience Sair had with protecting ones self, she walked directly towards the door, not attempting to blend in, nor creep. She pushed the door open slowly, and peered in.
Sair opened the door to the office just a crack, peeking in first to see if the light was on, and if there were any shadows to reveal bodies in the room. He was indeed an expert in sneaking around. He did it enough himself to know what to look for. He also kept a very careful ear open, though. Just in case he heard anything.
There were two men in the small soup kitchen, and one of them where in each room. Sair may have noticed that they were from the same gang as the people who he'd been attacking the night he'd met Ariadne, perhaps he did not. The man in the office was standing, back turned to the door, searching drawers and poking through files and the like.
Sair smirked. He pushed the door open a little more, very quietly, just enough so he could slip in. Then he went up behind the man and pressed his finger against his back, making him think it was a gun. "Now, what could someone like you want with a place like this?" he whispered coldly in the man's ear.
The man tensed up, but did not drop the papers he was holding. He yelled for his buddy.
This caused something of a problem for Ariadne, who was now faced with a very large, angry gang member of her own, who was now aware of her presence. He grabbed her by the front of her shirt.
"Causin' problems girly?...That's okay, we're looking for you anyway, you saved me some time."

Sair slammed his fist into the man's head and then grabbed it, slamming it against the desk. And then he turned and ran for the kitchen. He went in, not caring at all that Ariadne was practically hostage, and rammed his fist into the man's face. "Drop her, creep."
The man though somewhat taken aback by the hit, reacted quickly. From the look of his face, and his tolerance to it, it was obvious he was used to being hit. He flipped out a switchblade, and held it close to Ariadne, who he'd not let go of yet. "Back off. This is her punishment for stitching up the wounds our boss, so thoughtfully gave you."
Ariadne's eyes were wide with terror, but she reacted, not much like many other people would have in her situation. She bit the man holding her, hard.
