Sair narrowed his eyes. Before he could carry out the plan forming in his mind, she bit the man! So he took action quickly, grabbing the switchblade and yanking it away, twisting the man's arm until it was forced to release the weapon. "I'll give you a message to pass to your boss." He snatched the switchblade up and shoved Ariadne aside. "Run." was all he said to her. He slashed the man across the chest quite a few times, merciless with the switchblade in his hands. "Tell your boss that I'm not gonna let you drive away someone ever again! I'm SICK of having to watch who I talk to and what I do because you pricks go after anyone who even looks at me!" He drove the switchblade into the man's shoulder, his eyes practically glowing with anger. "The next time you come after someone near me, a blade is going through your heart." He let go and turned. "Oh, by the way. The cops shoulder be here any second."
Ariadne had run out to the sidewalk, she'd called the cops once she was safe. She now sat down on the bus stop bench outside the small soupateria. She was shaking. She'd never been held at knife point before. She was somewhat shell shocked.

Sair left the building, making sure that the injured man got away. He had a message to deliver, after all. The unconscious fool in the office would be taken to jail no doubt. Sair found Ariadne at the bus stop and sat down on the bench too. "You don't run very far, y'know." he commented calmly. "C'mon, you're going back home. They could send more goons to get you if you stick around here." He stood up and waved his hand for her to follow.
Ariadne followed him in autopilot, in silence for a time. As they neared her apartment she finally spoke. "More?"

Sair gave a nod. "Yeah. They're obnoxious like that." He shrugged and walked her to her door. "Alright, I'm gonna split. Get some sleep and lock your door." And just like that, he left. But he didn't go home, or anything like that. He went back to the soup kitchen and told the police everything that happened. Then he went about cleaning up the soup kitchen as best he could.
Ariadne locked her door behind him, just as he'd requested...no, told her to do. She didn't fall asleep until nearly daylight. The whole situation had been unnerving for her. Up until now, she'd felt mostly safe about her work. Did this mean, she'd have gangsters after her all the time now?

When she awoke, she was already ten minutes late, getting started on the afternoon meal at the soup kitchen. She hurriedly got herself together and headed back in the direction, it seemed she'd just came. Would she be able to salvage enough to make a meal for her patrons? She hoped she wouldn't have to let them down.

When she arrived at the kitchen, she was surprised to find that is had been cleaned. It was by no means perfect, but a great majority of the damage had been righted. She wondered for a moment who it could have been

The mystery of who it had been was soon revealed; Sair was slumped over in the corner of the kitchen, exhausted. He was sound asleep. He hadn't gotten much sleep after all, since he'd stayed up and cleaned.
Ariadne was taken aback by what he'd done. She'd definitely misjudged him, she owed him a lot for what he'd done, in her mind. She walked over to a cupboard, and pulled out a blanket that had escaped the destruction. She draped it over his sleeping form, and then went about getting a soup, and some sandwiches made for the hungry patrons, already beginning to line up outside.

Sair stirred when he smelled the food. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, yawning. He fell asleep? How long had he been asleep? He rubbed his eyes and looked around. He groaned when he saw Ariadne was here. She'd seen him. Great. Just what he didn't want. He got up and sighed, stretching a bit. Without saying a thing, he headed to the door.
Ariadne noticed, thankfully right before he slipped out the door. "Wait!" She called after him. She left the food simmering for the moment, as she moved towards him.

Sair stopped for a moment and frowned. "What?" He didn't want to talk to her. He didn't like admitting that he did something nice.
he couldn't help herself, though she knew it would likely be unwelcome. She quickly darted forward, and assuming, he didn't shove her away, she would have given him a hug.

"Thank you."

Sair blinked in surprise when he was hugged, and he frowned. "I didn't do it for you. It's just annoying to let the gang think they managed to do something worthwhile." That was his excuse, anyways.
Ariadne smiled. "Well it all works out the same in the end. I am very grateful." She stepped away from him, and back towards the counter, where she began to chop up cucumber for the sandwiches.

Sair just shrugged and left. He didn't want to admit he did anything nice at all. He sighed as he left, rubbing his eyes. He was tired. He had so much more to do though. He had to take care of the gang members.
Ariadne finished putting out sandwiches for the hungry and continued tidying up. She wasn't put off in the slight by his abrupt departure. She'd somewhat expected it.

That evening, Sair was in the hall waiting for her. She'd locked her door when she left, so he had to wait for her to come back so that he could get inside.
Ariadne raised her eyebrow at the sight of him in her hall, but smiled. She unlocked the door quickly, Letting herself, and him in. She had a bag of groceries with her, so she went immediately to putting them away. He'd been here every night for the last three... she wondered if his 'parents' were worried. Wondered why he didn't just branch out on his own, he looked to be old enough.

Sair waved slightly at her as she came back. Then he got inside and sat down on the couch. "How did the day go? Nobody bothered you, right?" He sighed a little bit and leaned back. "...want help putting those away?"
Ariadne looked at him for a moment as if he might be possessed.

"No one bothered me." She answered. She finished putting the groceries away. "...and no need, all done..: She paused for a moment, then turned to him.

"You aren't bi-polar or something are you?"
