TimeRulez of course.

Mine is my actual name but with an 'N' in replacement for an 'R'.
I honestly don't know what possessed me to use this handle, I've never used it before on anything. I just remember going "Huh that's funky." And typing it in.

I guess that says a lot about me huh. :) "Huh that's funky."
Ah! I love this thread! ^_^ I always wonder about peoples user names, even their handles on places like AIM and MSN. Normally when I register for something, I use a variation of my character Gabriel's name, but here since it was going to be my 'handle' I wanted something different.

I was actually super surprised Loki hadn't been taken yet, it's an rl nickname that's short for Lokelani, a nickname I've had since high school. I also enjoy Norse mythology, so I was pretty excited for this to be my username :D
JayBird is simply the natural growth of my real life name, which is Jay, though in truth that is simply a shortening of Jeremy. I'm also equally referred to as JayJay in real life
The origin of my name might be found offensive to some on a public forum, but if you're interested I'll gladly PM you. :)
Seeri

Mine is a bit personal, and short for something longer! I'd rather not share it publicly, but I can tell you that I wanted the word 'seer' in it! A name that implied a sixth sense, or an eye for details that are usually bypassed.
My username is my IRL name. ;)
Audisey was created four years ago for World of Warcraft. I wanted a character name based on mythology -- the Illiad and the Odyssey, of course. I had no idea that there was such a thing as roleplay (other than pretend with a friend or little storylines going on in my head), and so I wasn't interested in finding a realistic name. Odyssey would've obviously already been taken, and it was too masculine. I needed something non-gender specific or slightly feminine, so I changed the spelling. After I was introduced to online roleplay, new friends immediately accepted Audisey as a regular name and I was happyface. Many make jokes with my name involved: the Pokemon Audino, the car Audi, Aud replacing odd, or adding Aud in front of things (i.e. Audcave, Auddles, Audster, Audquestion, etc).

I use Audisey for every alias these days if it's available. You can tell how old my Youtube account is because it's not under the name Audisey. :P
Mayim

Well-- I am transgendered, an FTM. When I began addressing my gender identity problems I was relieved to think that it was the end of using butchered nicknames to try and make up for my (painfully feminine) birth name. Hurrah. I began looking into it, and then I sat with a very good friend of mine and practiced introducing myself with these different names. Only one really worked, and that was Hayden.

I proceeded from there to come out to coworkers and my family using my new name and I have never looked back. I also use it for my persona here on RPR because hey, I am original like that. ;]
The name I have bestowed upon myself. Hurricane Lance...Lance is an alias I've used since high school (Class of 02! Woo!) to introduce myself to new people until I got to know them of which they would then be bestowed with my real moniker. So I was a little bit of a paranoid one. Didn't want guns come a blazin' to my door step all of a sudden. To those of you here who know me a bit, Hurricane is a new addition to my name. It comes from the fact that a lot of characters I make, rather they make it to final drafts or not, tend to be wind elementals. For those of you who believe in the existence of magic, it also bears roots in the fact that my element of representation is in fact, wind.
Reinage <3

From my little panther, of course.
Actually though, I had been a part of Furcadia for a year or two at the time and I had a series of usernames I didn't really like. One time I was playing Zoo Tycoon and was bored, renaming dolphins, putting together random words. I came up with "Re-in-age" And immediately was like "I CAN USE THAT FOR FURCADIA"
I closed Zoo Tycoon and made the alt right away.
Ever since, I've been using the name for EVERYTHING (excluding DeviantArt, for some reason, and more official things like The Run For The Cure)
The name is about five and a half years old at this point.
Reinage, as a character, has developed a lot through the years and I wouldn't drop 'er for the world.
Mine comes from a really old character of mine from my 15-year-old goth phase that everyone seems to go through. He was.. if I remember.. a little twerp adopted into a royal family, but was a plague on the family and had some kind of predetermined destiny to become a great Conqueror, but at the end of his reign his glorious empire would crumble into absolutely nothing. And the people who knew about it called him "The Darkest Prince" [my old DA username] And it eventually caught on.
And then people started calling me "prince" for short, and I like to think I am fairly manly and so it just kind of stuck.
Plus I am just that awesome, of course. B3
Mine comes from an RP character of mine, labeled 'Cult Classic'. My zombie, Max, is an ode to the B movie heroes that I've always loved. I'm a huge fan of what would be considered...well. Cult classics; movies that aren't quite mainstream, but have a massive following.

Rocky Horror, Evil Dead, and...heck, anything with Bruce Campbell, as well as lesser known horror movies, have always made me smile. Even my forum avatar is related to the idea of cult classics; she's a bugbear, that like spouting off old movie trivia and terrifying people with things that should belong in a hokey old movie!
Oh, I has to reply to this one. I honestly had two names to start with on here. My first name (Before it changed over) was Nevermisses. People started calling me that in the police academy back in high school because of my aim. Crossbows, guns, pelts, whatever, I always hit the target. Not sure how, or why, but I did. The name Erotisch, that I have adopted is actually German for Exotic (Depending on translation is could mean Erotic as well). Erotisch was my first character ever, made about eight years ago on Gaia; was quickly transferred to Furcadia and thus lived out her lives there. Erotisch is also the name of my car (An Audi of course), My xbox live handle, and my nickname at work. When people try and figure out how to say it, I simple smile and give a very knowing nod because most have no idea. It's fun to be remembered that way when you work in customer service.
My username is, uh, my irl name ;;

I think it's awesome you never miss and people nicknamed you for it. XD Did you have some sort of practice as a kid that got you to be that good?

I have to ask though, where did you gather that Erotisch is an alternative for exotic? I was raised with German, and never in my life have I heard erotisch being used to describe something exotic... Simply because then that would be 'exotisch', the German word for exotic. The only other alternatives I know of for exotic are ausländisch and fremd or fremdartig, although they don't necessarily relate closely to the definition of exotic. I'm curious if I missed something or you were perhaps misinformed. (Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss this a little deeper so we won't tumble this topic into off topicness. XD)
Crescent Nomad didn't really come from anywhere (not to my knowledge anyway!). It was a name I came up with when I registered to the site. But when I see the name, I always picture a man wandering aimlessly through the desert deep in the night. He carries a wooden walking stick, and constantly treks in the direction of the crescent moon. I have no idea why, but it is what I always came to picture!
I chose this name because of... reasons. It's nonsensical and was ripped off of a friend who suggested it to me when we were chosing names for some MMO that I don't remember the name of. Really, it just stuck with me and I've been using it here and there where I can think of nothing better. Fickle. Rich. Also, it just tickles me for people to refer to me as Fickler and amuses me to no end.
