Quite the bevy of interesting stories, in here! Might as well share my own.

The handle 'Hooke' came to me via my first character on Furcadia. I hadn't been active on the internet in a social sense, prior to creating that alt, and it was the only alt I used for a good long while. That'd be the ever-salty and eternally awkward Valish; a character best known for wearing fish hooks in their hair and talking far too much.

Eventually, I made some art centred around my roleplay on that character, and figured I might as well upload it. Since I assumed, at the time, that I'd only being uploading art related to Valish, I chose a name tangentially associated with them (and stuck an extraneous 'e' on the end of it, because why not). Some time later, "Hooke" was appended to the end of my pen name, culminating in "B. G. Hooke".

Years later, B. G. Hooke is now a legal alias of mine. I've received mail under that name, and it's spawned its own set of bizarre handles and nicknames; "Beej" and "Beegee" come to mind.

And, there you have it. Not the most colourful story, but it was fun to look back on.

Simple stuff. My name is difficult. Too difficult for most people to spell or type, let alone say-- so I shortened it for the sake of other people's sanity. Significantly. I've become Shawn in the real world and cyber world. I dig it. It digs me.

I am the girl Shawn. Deal with it.

Fairly simple. I was living in the midlands of England when I signed up. I suppose now I should change it to NorthernEnglander but... Nah.

Now here's a question that brings back memories... I got mine off Minecraft, when I played in MC a friend of mine made a server to which I helped create TONS of awesome buildings and stuff, then I didn't have a proper MC account. Before DontBeTrippin I had a really weird and long name which had capitals and lowercase letters a little like this aBcDeF... So he asked me to change it because it was hard to give me materials from the console that's when I made up DBT.

It's kinda like me in a way, random as hell. My friends say I have a tendancy to change topics of conversations at very awkward times which makes them laugh like mad, they say I have mini blackouts and say something else then have another mini blackout and go back to what the were talking about... I just love being random!

My username is taken from the Tevinter Imperium from the Dragon Age universe, only shortened down with an 's' added at the end. I used to be stupidly obsessed over the first game.

For real though... I love pirates. I took on the nickname well before I ever created the character on paper. But she's been in my head for years, living out the dreams I'd never been able to. She's always been the person I wished I could be, and was my first RP character. I guess sort of like my alter-ego

Well, initially the name I had on my RPR for a bit was deemed inappropriate ("Zombitch", get it?) so I had to change it. I love bats, and I'm small so.. batling? Nothing particularly special.

Erm. My username is my RL name. (aka Eri)

Well, my name is kind of an evolved thing. Before I got into having my name on the internet I had some other weird handles, but Jinx has always been my artist handle. 'Jinx' alone is usually too short for most sites, so Highjinx became my go to name. Then, because I am more often then not 'random' it became random_highjinx or a variation of. My DA name is random-highjinx.

However, according to my best friend (who likes to irritate the stuffing out of me on occasion) my full name is: The-insufferably-egotistical-yet-detrimentally-self-critical-often-hermetic-but-sometimes-outgoing-random-creature-that-is-(high)Jinx. It's a mouthful, so you can just call me Jinx

I couldn't think of a name so I hijacked one. How bland and characteristic.

I choose Clipped, well namely because my main character is named that but also throughout my life i have had many hairstyles. I have always been a tomboy and truly never cared about my hair, stating: "it'll always grow back." If the barber didn’t give me a style that looked good”

The name Clipped was also a nickname i got, many years ago, dating back to when i was 9 years of age. My best friend from childhood, decided to take scissors to me one day on my front porch in Montana. She was eight. Needless to say, small children shouldn’t cut each other’s hair. When she was done i ended up with a hairstyle that suited a zombie, not a nine-year old girl. After being taken to the local barber, who made it worst (if that’s even possible) i pretty much ended up shaving it.

Since then, i have had hairstyles down to my butt, above my ears and everywhere in between. Thus the name Clipped.

My RPR name is the same as my dA name, which was named after my then-current Gaia account, which was a mule made for the amusement of my then-main roleplaying partner. Her name was Trinity_[redacted], so I named my mule Trinitys_Fangirl, which I shortened to trinfan for dA because she was the one who wanted me to make a dA account in the first place and I suck at coming up with account names, then I moved the name here so the two accounts would be connected.

I chose Bonebag because I really like pancakes, foods with a high salt content, and I'm half Canadian. ...Eeyup.

Because it sounds awesome. I used to be Zapdos926 everywhere, which was originally my runescape account, but I like this a lot better. It just sounds bad ass.

Rah was the nickname my friends gave me back in the day on Furc, when wolf rp was super popular. There were like, 3 other 'Sara(h)s' so my friends began calling me Rah. Its stuck ever since.

However its not as old as my old username; Tralucent. I was Tral or Trala for short.

Kiomii is a name of a character in a book I wrote but never finished. She has a strong personality, and I use her as my Summoner name in League of Legends and on Age of Wonders. I just love the way it sounds, and I love using it to identify myself when I'm gaming in any sense.

Though I have an older name. Kistarus. I use that a lot, too, on my DA and other games. Or Kilairia. And yeah, those names are also characters I devised during my writing days. Keeps the memories fresh and keeps me from being bitter that I lost all the books I wrote but one. That, and, well, I like K names.

My handle "NR" has been used for the past six years, ever since I got into the RPing scene via Furcadia. Even on sites like Livejournal and Dreamwidth I'm called NR, but the thing about having a handle that's only two characters is that many places only accept a bare minimum of three!

Dromaeosaur is another one I use just for account purposes, which comes from my love of dromaeosaurid dinosaurs.

My login name is actually my real name I used to use my character Bliss Joy as my online alias, but I didn't want to here. As I was at a loss I used my real name because I was fairly sure it wouldn't be taken already. My name came from my dad, his mothers name was Ina (pronounced eye nah) she told him that if he ever stuck a child with that name she would make his life a living hell (even after death Lmao) well dad found a loop hole, so my name is nikina.

My name's history is a complicated and lengthy one.

Once upon a time, I was in a musical called Acorns to Oaks. It was the first acting production I had ever been in, and I had gotten a lead role. A couple of months later, my best friend had gotten his umpteenth Webkinz, and I begged my mom to get me one, too. (Because my friend was the coolest person ever in my eyes.) So, she got me a little Webkinz leopard. My dad helped me set up an account, and we decided my username should be acorn2oak! (Named after the musical I starred in.)

Fast forward a year or two: I find this cool online game called Mars Explorer. After a while of playing it, I get a notice saying that I need to update it. The link took me to the forum for the site, which I quickly became attracted to. I registered an account under the name acorn2oak2, because I had failed to remember the password for acorn2oak on the same site. (Lol fail.) After a few years of playing the game and becoming a core member of the MarsXplr community, someone in a game I was in misspelled the word "Okay" as "Oaky." I forget what we were talking about at the time. But, we decided it fit in with my username, and so it stuck. To this day the pseudonym I use on any kind of website or video game is Oaky.

My username, KuroSakuranbo14, was inspired by one of my favorite characters, Kuro. The funny fact to me, is that she wasn't the first character I made, no, Luna was but they have both gone under ALOT of change but Kuro hasn't really changed much, her hair and eyes are the same form when I first made her, while Luna had black striped in her's. Kuro's personality was one that I knew perfectly, I call her my badass side because when I'm in a BAD mood, I tend to act like her.

Also, one time on another site that I had long since forgotten about, I had one account of there called warthluver2 on there and then randomly it was deleted so I assumed I was hacked. So, I used KuroSakuranbo14 for my new one.

For the numbers, 14 was the age I was when I joined this site, along with many other sites and I had become closer with many of my friends and my life then was in a time of great change and now I am who I am because of that strange year of me being 14.
