She could only stare up at the structure before her, a massive grey wall built out of ancient materials whose names are long forgotten.
It seemed so out of place here at the edge of the nation with likely nothing on the other side of it.
It stretched on in either direction for what seemed like forever, and reached high into the sky beyond her sight.
It was even older than her grandmother, whom was born many years ago. From the stories she heard...no one had ever seen the other side in recent memory and it’s likely no one ever will. She does wonder though why it was built so far east.
Though she had no time to contemplate it, it was nearly sun down after and she’s have to return home soon.
So she dusted off her clothing (consisting of a blue shirt and shorts accompanied by a blue hood) and ran home, thoughts of the mysterious wall and what lies behind it plaguing her mind.

Several metres away would stand a young male around the age of fourteen. Cladded only in white and red armour that looked rather futuristic, he leaned himself against a broken structure. His crimson coloured eyes scanned the area. A small pod like droid would hover around him.
The young boy had ivory white hair and crimson red eyes. Somewhat odd for a human.
"Boss!" it said in a rather synthesized, female sounding voice. "Boss Boss! It's rather eerie around here. Do you think we should move on or search for life?"
The boy remained silent. He held his rifle near him as his pod side kick hovered near his face. His expression remained the same. Stoic and his mouth remaining in a frozen like frown. This annoyed his droid, considering he did not want to speak or was in deep thought.
"BOSS! BOSS! BOSS! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSS!!"
The boy's brow furrowed, where he casted a glare at the other.
"Lola. Please keep it down. We may draw attention here. This place is deserted. However. We need to keep our eyes peeled. Any adepts near may die by my hands..."
His voice seemed rather sharp. However, something caught his eye. He saw a person dash past him. That seemed odd. He and Lola were not alone. Maybe he would follow her? Or would he just remain there. However, his robot pod partner insisted that he should follow her.
"Whoever that was may not be any importance. Never can be too safe. Lola. Come with me. Be it adept or human, we should follow her. Now, come on..."
