Altair perused the aisles of cages, a long black polished cane tapping lightly in front of him as he walked. His eyes, a cloudy light blue, moved around, though he saw nothing but black. Well, black and the aura of any living thing outlining that being. The slaves in the cages had similar auras, and the guards and slave traders all had like auras as well. It was easy to tell them apart, even if he couldn't see the cages the slaves were held in.
He came upon one cage, however, that housed a being that had a different-colored aura than before. He tapped the cage with his cane, turning his head to the nearest yellow-green aura that signified a guard or trader. "I'll take this one." he said calmly.
Altair looked like a typical man of the upperclass; brown hair that went down to around his shoulders, pulled back into a ponytail by a ribbon that was, in all honesty, tied rather sloppily. He had a moderate skintone, not fair but not tanned. His attire was businesslike, a fitting black suit that would show he wasn't simply out on a pleasure stroll.

Watching the man as he drew closer to the cage, Adela couldn't help but frown. It was always the same thing... she'd escape, get captured again, and find herself on the market as a slave once again. How she loathe being like this. Curse the day she ever manifested her powers. Adela stooped down a bit, trying to draw as little attention to herself as possible, but with was to no avail.
Her lips pursed together when he tapped on her cage, and she gave s quiet huff.
The guard he had signaled for hurried over, and he looked Adela over, before giving a smirk. "5 Platinum for this one, it is. She ain't your typical slave, from what I 'ear. Got some power to 'eal wounds and such, but I ain't never seen it. Nonetheless, it is 5 Platinum."
Adela couldn't help but smirk. Who in their right mind would buy a slave for that much? These men were getting greedier and greedier, and hopefully it would pay off in her favor, saving her a few days from having a master.

Altair lifted a brow. "5 Platinum? Expensive. But I want this one. She, yes? Alright." He fingered the money in his pocket, then pulled out the right amount and held it out to the guard. "You may wish to reconsider your prices. It's not likely you'll be bought from if you keep charging." Once the guard took Adela out of the cage and the chains were handed over to him, Altair reached for her wrist. He found it easily, because it was the closest part of aura.
"Help me through the aisles, will you? It's easy to come back the way I came, but there's always the chance of something moving in the way." He turned and started walking, waiting to see if she would indeed lead him along like he wished her to. He held her wrist gently, and his free hand tapped the cane along carefully.
"What's your name, miss?"

She couldn't help but stare at him for a long moment, after he had purchased her and then asked to be led through the aisles. She nearly called him out on it, telling him to not be so lazy, but she realized that he was blind when she saw his eyes. She frowned, but shrugged. At least it might be a bit easier to escape...
She made her way down the main area, doing her best to lead him through. There were several times where she almost made him run into things on purpose, but she hesitated, almost thinking she would receive a beating because of it. If not from him, from someone else.
It took a while for her to give her name when he asked for it, but when she did, that was all she said. "Adela." She did note his formality in calling her miss, and it only made her frown deeper.
"Where are we going?"

Altair listened to her, nodding slightly. "Adela. A nice name. You may call me Mr. Altair, or Sir Altair, or Master Altair." He tapped his cane along, taking a deep breath and letting it out. "We're going to my carriage. We should be almost there. I can smell the horses." Sure enough, they arrived at the carriage soon. "Open the door and help me up, will you, Adela?" There was a driver waiting on the front of the carriage, ready to take them back to his home. So at least Adela didn't have to worry about driving the carriage.
"I suppose your question may not have quite been aimed towards our immediate destination, however. If you were looking for more, then here is the answer; we are going back to my home. Adela, you will be my helper. You will help with things around the house such as cooking and cleaning, and you will help me get around the house and do my work. You'll accompany me on my outings, etcetera, to make sure I get around safely and without bumping into everything." He chuckled. "After all...I tend to bump into things a lot."

"Of course, Master..." she said, almost sarcastically, when he told her what she should call him. That wasn't unusual at all. She took a deep breath, and led him on, stopping at the carriage. She did as she was told, and helped him in. She would climb in after him, and sit quietly as he explained things. Cooking, cleaning... it wasn't unusual, and she was glad she wasn't being asked to do anything else.
She glanced around, before she decided to ask him another question, pertaining to her work. "How often do you go out?" This was important, so she would know how often she was actually going to be needed.

Altair tapped his cane lightly against her leg to draw her attention. "Master Altair, Adela." he corrected calmly. As she asked the question while they rode on, the answer was given without much thought. "Generally every other day. I don't like to stay in one place for too long, so I often make visits to the town or take a walk through the woods or some such thing along those lines." After a pause, he continued to speak. "Tell me about yourself, Adela? What are your strengths, and what are your weaknesses? What are you good at. hm?" He chuckled softly, turning his 'sightless' eyes towards the window of the carriage. "After all, if you are not good at cooking, I'll need to get someone to teach you. I might not be able to see it, but I know when I'm eating muck, Adela."
Adela frowned. She didn't like being asked what her strengths and weaknesses were, but she suppose she had to answer. "I am good at tending to a person when they are ill, or hurt. I am good at mending damaged goods. As for what I am not so good at... that is a very small list. I learned at a young age was it was to be a slave, so I have had plenty of time to perfect what I do. As for cooking, well, I don't make eloquent meals, but they taste well enough."
It really wasn't a matter of what she was good at... it was more of the matter of being motivated to do it. Cleaning was always boring, so she tended to slack off on that.

Altair nodded as she spoke, to show that he was listening. "I see. Curious. Well, as long as your meals taste good, Adela, I certainly don't mind. At least you know you don't have to waste presentation on me." He chuckled slightly. Once the carriage stopped, he had her help him out. They were at a pretty manor, not quite big enough to be a mansion but not small enough to be a normal house. "This is where you'll be staying from now on, Adela. Come, bring me up through the doorway and I'll give you a tour. I cannot see, but I know my house. I've been living in it since I was just a little lad."
He smiled, taking her hand and letting her walk him up to the door. It was hard for the carriage to always pull up to the same spot, so he usually needed help getting to the door.

Adela looked at him for a long time, and was glad that he couldn't see it, because it might have been awkward. She wasn't sure what to make of this person, but she knew better than to make assumptions on what type of person he was on just meeting him.
She did as she was told though, and took his hand, leading him toward the front door. She stopped in front of it, and looked up at the home. It was quite nice. Not as big as what she had lived in before, but still homely... if she was allowed to call it that.
She placed her free hand on the door, and pushed it open.

Altair followed along, and as he heard the door open he smiled and stepped inside. "Alright. This is the main hall. The doorway to the left is the sitting room, the doorway to the right is where I accept guests into. Down this hall..." He started walking, leading her along this time. "On the left is the door to the kitchen. On the right is the door to my library. Right in front of us is the door to the dining room. Now, let's go back to the stairs at the beginning of the hallway." He smiled and walked back to them. It was a pretty spiral staircase, and he walked up it with ease. "Alright. Here, on the right is the guest bedroom, and on the left is the bathing room. The double doors straight ahead go to my room. The door on the right that is closest to mine is your room. I need you near me in case I need you during the night."
He walked along and rested his hand on the doorknob, opening the door and stepping aside. "What do you think?" Her room was a nice medium size, with a nicely made, comfortable-looking bed. There was soft carpet, a chair, a wooden desk, bookshelf, and a nice vanity. There was a wardrobe for clothes to stay in, as well. It was a very nice room, like a guest would stay in.

She memorized the layout of everything, as she was shown it. Mostly for her own reasons. She followed him up the stairs, quite amazed that he managed it so well without her help. And then he showed her the room she would be in. And she just stood there, in amazement. The room was more than anything she had been allowed in her life! She was always told to sleep on the floor, or on a dirty cot in the basement, or near the kitchen. This... This was for a guest. He must have been mistaken.
"I think you have the wrong room. You have me staying... in a very fine room, that must be meant for visitors. Perhaps there is another room near? Smaller, less... Desirable?" She swallowed hard, hoping this was the case. She didn't want to be taking something she didn't deserve.

I would love to do this roleplay with you! Conner doesn't obey well, mostly because he's never been dominated over, so if you would like to have a roleplay where you have to train him I would be willing to.

Hey there! The last post here was in 2012, so it's fair to assume this particular game is over, especially since one of the characters was since deleted. So, I locked this thread so it can rest in peace! Also, if you want to look for people to play with, check out the Looking for RP forums, as that's the place to do that, while the Fantasy Roleplay Forum is for the actual roleplays to take place!
